  • @zuuls_mom NO SHAME from me. 🤣 Pizza rolls are life.
  • Loading the player...
  • @zuuls_mom I just ate Thai food at 10:15am-yum

    I don’t like Pinterest.
  • @blitzybee WHAT? What's not to like? Endless recipes, fashion tips, hair tips, it's the best!

  • @zuuls_mom no shame.  I ate a lot of tag-a-longs for breakfast

@blitzybee I'm with you.  It's too cluttered and overwhelming in my book.  Kind of like Forever 21.  :)  My confession:  I may have mislead everyone at work into thinking that today's ultrasound is a follow up appt for my kid who has been sick all week.  It was too good a cover to not use and I didn't technically lie.

    ETA:  This amazing picture.
  • @zuuls_mom I must be doing it wrong. Anytime I go on there for decorating ideas or things like that, I get so stressed out because it’s way above and beyond anything I had wanted to do, and then I feel insufficient. Or like on Valentine’s Day, I got my 3 year old little cards to hand out from target, and meanwhile I had friends making all kinds of fancy Valentines for all of their kids to hand out from Pinterest. 9pm before Valentine’s Day and I’m all, crap!! I must suck as a mom! Those other kids are getting bubbles and hand made cards!
  • @blitzybee Agreed!  No one needs that kind of unnecessary pressure!  I made the mistake of not even considering that my 17 month old needed to bring valentines in to exchange on V Day.  Apparently all of the girls brought them in and none of the boys did.  Hahahaha.  Oh gender stereotypes.
  • @blitzybee that's fair! I get overwhelmed with the DIY stuff too. I really only look at my home page of suggested pins which are clothing, food, nails, hair and cute dog pics lol.

  • I used to say that I suck at cooking but then I realized I can cook, I just hate planning the meals. And MH doesn't cook either, so... almost all of our meals are eaten out at a restaurant. Seriously, planning a meal stressed me out! I did do the meal delivery kits (hellofresh) for a while but then MH switch back to shift work and I didn't like how expensive it was. I'm thinking about starting it again because I do really want to get better at it. I just don't know if it'll help with the planning part that I'm having a hard time with.

  • @mamaber2204 that is hilarious. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have thought to do valentines for a 17 month old either!
  • I really don't want to tell my inlaws I'm pregnant.   They annoy me.  I also don't want the entire world to know yet, but I am going to be telling people and telling them not to tell anyone yet.  We are also telling my parents and I am not telling them the same info.
  • @blitzybee All I have pinned are recipes. Recipes that I've never once made.

@LJMoon6 Take a look at Cook Smarts. A friend turned me onto it about a year ago and I LOVE it. It's just the planning piece; they give you 4 dinner recipes and the grocery list each week, but you still do your own grocery shopping and cooking.

I have two close friends both getting married this September/October (one was my MOH). I'm secretly relieved that this pregnancy is getting me out of being a bridesmaid twice!
  • @sloopy02 All I have to say is AMEN, sister! When we told my in-laws we were pregnant with our second son, my MIL said "well, obviously having a baby hasn't hampered your sex life." I literally died. Can't wait to hear the response when we announce #3...they prob think we are at it like rabbits! I am sort of disturbed that she's thinking about our sex life. It's so so awkward.

My FFFC: I freaking hate cats. One lives in my house. Long story. I am finally ready to admit it: they are ungrateful, shitty pets and I don't like them.

  • I like cats way better than dogs. Dogs are  needy and annoying. Eep!

That being said...I doubt we’ll have any pets anytime soon. I like having a clean(ish) house free from fur.
  • @lillywonderland Truthfully, my dog annoys the crap out of me right now too. I really like my house clean and I was in a much better mood when I had time to keep up with my cleaning schedule. Two kids under 3, a cat and a dog...I basically want to move out :)

  • @RedBreast35 Omg you're right. That voice is the worst. I'm dreading that, too. And people saying "pregnancy brain!" anytime they think you've forgotten something. Ugh. I have a paralegal who is going to be the worst on both fronts.
  • @cammie0526 Oh! That sounds really interesting. It kinda feels like a nice in between step. I still need help but I have more responsibilities to go out and actually do some grocery shopping. I wonder how much I would actually do it tho. There's no accountability, no rotting food in my fridge if I never actually go shopping. How are the recipes they provide? How many do you get to choose from for the week?

  • @LJMoon6 The recipes are a good mix of more “usual” things (think tacos or salmon with rice) and different things that I’d never think to make (moussaka was a recent hit in our house). The 4 meals each week are preset but you can choose between the original, gluten free, paleo, or vegetarian options of each; you also have access to all the past meals in the archive that you can do in addition/instead. My favorite part is that when you choose which meals you do/don’t want to make + the number of servings of each + which ones you want the vegetarian etc. versions of, the grocery list magically updates automatically. If you go to their website you can see 3 free trial weeks without having to give any credit card info.

Btw I swear I don’t work for them or get any kickbacks or anything, I just really love it and it makes my life easier  :)
  • @cammie0526 I’ll give it a shot. My poor family - I’m so beat/nauseous that I’ve given up on cooking ! Thanks for the suggestion
