TWW Tuesday 1/29

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. @b_1029 would you rather be bored or busy at work? Do you at least get paid overtime if you have to work early/late?

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Month/Cycle: 4/4
    CD/DPO: 21/6 or 21/5
    Timing: great either way
    Typical LP length: 9-10 (LPD)
    Testing: Maybe this weekend. Maybe not til Monday. We’ll see how I feel when it gets closer.
    R/R: Going in for my CD21 blood draw today to check my progesterone levels bc I’m on round two of Clomid. Last cycle I was already at 52 on 3DPO at my CD21 lab, which is promising because low progesterone is my IF issue.
    CS/Q: none
    @daffodil_shoe ummm I mean I don't want to be bored, but also don't want to feel like I'm running in a million directions not accomplishing anything. I'm salaried so no OT for me. Hopefully your progesterone looks good today.
    @inthewoods23 I’m down for a 6 month vacation! Somewhere warm please  :)
    @daffodil_shoe FX for you on your blood draw results
    @b_1029 OMG you went to the gym at 5am?! What time do you go to bed? lol I'm so not a morning person. Hauling our asses out of bed at 6 to shovel ourselves out then go shovel Grandma's driveway was hard, I definitely wouldn't do it just to go to the gym :lol:  // can't help you on the stress front either, I'm just a ticking time bomb.
    @daffodil_shoe are you on prog. supplements as well? FX for good results today!
    @inthewoods23 oh wow, yeah that's a big drop. Let's go with implantation dip! lol. All the days I thought for sure my temp would drop because I wasn't under the covers or spike because I had extra blankets, it didn't really change much. *shrug* It's a mystery. FX it's a good sign tho!
    I'm just lurking today, had some brown spotting last night and this morning so I think I'm out. :disappointed:
    @inthewoods23 I'm down, where are we going on vacation? Somewhere Zika free, obvs, since we'll magically get KU. That is a big drop! Maybe it's just a random fluke.
    @kiki047 I tried to go to bed around 9 but my body was like wtf are you doing? I usually go at 6 am and that hour made a huge difference. Oh man, I can't even imagine waking up to shovel...at least mine is in a warm gym! How much snow did you all get? I'm sorry about the spotting :(
    Hi! I belong here again. I mean, maybe I'm like a daaaayy early, but I got a positive OPK this morning, so, I'm here. I've been gone for a week but missed hanging out here.
    @b_1029totally know that feeling. I spent the majority of my career (in advertising) working 60-80 hour weeks consistently. It was toxic. And now my job leaves me either *really* bored for a week or really busy for a week. I should be thankful to not have those consistent crazy weeks, but my brain only knows that. Some sort of weird Stockholm syndrome? Hopefully, your stress will reduce a bit! Also, I have a 5am gym appointment with a trainer Thursday. WOOF.
    @daffodil_shoe good luck with your blood draw!
    @inthewoods23 working from home is the best. Hopefully, you can again! These frigid temps are no f'in joke.
    Month/Cycle: 3/3
    CD/DPO: 29 (technically O tomorrow, but got my +OPK today)
    Timing: so far, -5, -4, -2
    Typical LP length: 13-14
    Testing: Have a long ways to go.
    R/R: Started acupuncture yesterday. It was super relaxing. I went because I've had really intense menstrual cramps the last couple months (plus, lingering GI and asthma issues). My OBGYN said it couldn't hurt for all things, including fertility.
    CS/Q: nothing to see yet.
    @b_1029 We got about 18-20" of snow, but some of the drifts were over 3'. We went out and shoveled twice last night too with 6-8" each time so that helped a lot, but we're dead tired now.
    @samashley1 I found acupuncture helped regulate my cycles a lot. Hope it makes a difference for you too! I need to get back into it but *TW* my naturopath is on mat leave and I haven't met her replacement yet.
    @inthewoods23 that is a bizarre temp drop. Not sure what to attribute that to!
    @kiki047 no progesterone these last two cycles, because it would skew my lab results to know how well the Clomid is working but **TW.....progesterone is all I ended up needing to get KU/not miscarry again with my DS. But progesterone alone didn’t work this time to lengthen my luteal phase defect, so we moved onto Clomid to improve my corpus luteum quality, which should improve progesterone levels...end TW**
    sorry about the spotting ☹️
    @samashley1 what does acupuncture feel like?
    @b_1029 I hate when there is so much to do at work and dont’ have enough time to do it all. Too bad you can’t find a happy medium. Good for you getting yourself to the gym at that hour!
    @daffodil_shoe FX for a good progesterone level!
    @inthewoods23 Glad you don’t have to venture out into the cold!
    @daffodil_shoe It doesn't feel like much, honestly. You feel a tiiiiiiny poke as she puts the needle in. But I didn't even feel that on some of them. Then you just sit there and relax for 30-45 min. If nothing else, I was SUPER relaxed from being forced to sit quietly with no distractions (ie. my phone) for an extended period of time. Also, I had a blanket so it was really cozy.
    **Lurking*** @daffodil_shoe just an FYI CD 21 progesterone is actually incorrect... it is supposed to be 7dpo to check your progesterone levels... so saying CD21 is making the huge assumption that you O on CD14.... Just something to keep in mind that if your levels aren't what they should be it could be because you are testing too early since you say your only 4-5dpo...
    @inthewoods23 @nnaelilak here in Toronto it's going down to -19'c tonight (-2'F) but with wind chills in the -30'C range that's around -22'F. Further north and out in the prairies it definitely gets down to like -45'C mark, which I think is around the same in farenheit. Either way, it's too cold. I don't actually mind the snow so much if it's mild, but I can't deal with the frigid cold.
    @klstone25 I'm sorry for the BFNs. My temp plummeted this morning too, after I just finished telling everyone that my temp doesn't usually drop before AF arrives. Definitely jinxed myself. Hope you can enjoy the drinks at the super bowl party, that's a small silver lining. I shall enjoy all the wine this week.
    @kiki047 if you give me a freezing cold day but lots of sunshine I'll love it. Windy? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Also not really a fan of blizzards when you have to be driving around but light snow is very pretty. Even a lot of snow but over a long period of time is okay to me
    **Lurking*** @daffodil_shoe just an FYI CD 21 progesterone is actually incorrect... it is supposed to be 7dpo to check your progesterone levels... so saying CD21 is making the huge assumption that you O on CD14.... Just something to keep in mind that if your levels aren't what they should be it could be because you are testing too early since you say your only 4-5dpo...
    Yes I understand how a day 21 is supposed to work. But my OBGYN insists on doing it ON day 21. So I take my results with a grain of salt. A result of 52 at only 3DPO is actually quite high already, so I have no worries that it wouldn’t be good at 7dpo. Mostly my OBGYN is doing the lab to confirm that I have, in fact, ovulated at all while using Clomid. If my level was already 52 at only 3DPO, it’s pretty safe to say I did ovulate.
