R/R: rave - I took yesterday off, and it was much needed. I feel so refreshed and ready to get back in to work and tackle my big project this week!
rant - we have another winter storm coming today, but this one is dropping all freezing rain. We could get measurable ICE. I am not looking forward to scraping off my car on the commute home! I expect to be this guy.

Good morning, ladies!  I have snow/ice day today.  My guess is the roads in the town where I teach are iced over, or maybe they need to de-ice the school buses.  Either way...I'm home today sippin' my cocoa and doing some Netflix n' grading.  

@galentine that gif was definitely me last night chipping ice off my windshield. We're in the single digits here right now, but tomorrow and Thursday will get up towards 50!  Glad you had a nice day off yesterday.

R/R: Part of me says "It's a snow day, be productive and get work done around the house!" while the other part says, "It's a snow day, relax and enjoy!" I am going to have to find the happy medium here. I do have some grading to do, so at least that will get done.  I made sugar cookies yesterday and I am really tempted to have one for breakfast right now!

CS/Q: Nopenopenope.  I will start temping again once AF arrives.  I'll probably be over in WTO tomorrow since spotting started back up again.  Let's get this show on the road, uterus.

@galentine - I'm actually glad to be back at work today too. I was starting to go stir crazy the past two days while snowed in haha
@emeraldduchess - I was so lazy the past two days - I had planned on getting so many little projects around the house done, but nope... Have you watched the Fyre Festival documentary on Netflix yet? Highly recommend it!

R/R: Rave- The DWTS show on Friday was AMAZING! My cousin and her three little girls came up for two days and we took them to a children's discovery museum on Saturday, which was fun! Rant - my whole body still hurts from shoveling and snowblowing my 85 foot driveway for three hours on Sunday. 
CS/Q: Temps started dropping this weekend. No sign of AF yet, but she'll show up eventually.

@feather_heather I haven't watched it yet, but I will check it out!  I'm a DWTS fan as well, but I've never caught the live tour.  Are Sasha and Emma as adorable in real life as they are on TV? I also have a major crush on Artem and Keo, which DH patiently puts up with. 🤣

@galentine ice is the worst. I'd actually prefer snow to ice. Glad you're feeling refreshed today after your day off!! 
@emeraldduchess I'm still waiting for a really good snow day, especially now that I live more than a few minutes from work. Before when we had snow days I still had to go in because I lived within walking distance so I didn't have an excuse not to be able to make it in lol. I vote for a bit of work but mostly relaxing.  
@feather_heather omg 85ft driveway. Bet you got a killer workout though! // Sorry for all the BFNs. Glad DWTS was good though!

Testing: MF wants to WFAF, which is next Tuesday. I will humour him because *TW* his barren ex-wife had a miraculous unplanned conception with her new bf and their due date was yesterday so he really just doesn't want to spend the week/end mourning our BFNs. *end TW* 

R/R: Rant: I got another massive cold sore this morning. That's 3 in the last month. I'm not even particularly stressed out this time so I don't get it. Google has given me all sorts of info, none of it conclusive, about hormonal changes and auto-immune responses causing cold sores... I made an appt to see my GP this afternoon to ask for a prescription for Valtrex. I've never needed it before but thank you to the ladies on here who recommended it. I'll also start taking lysine if it's safe to take while TTC? *disappears back down the google rabbit hole* 
Rave: I am 0.5lbs away from reaching a total of 30lbs of weight lost since August, and only 5.5lbs away from my goal weight! All with just dietary/lifestyle changes and no exercise other than HIO   which, given the frequency of that, is actually quite a lot of cardio but I can't exactly tell people that when they ask how I'm losing the weight haha. 

CS/Q: If I'm not allowed to POAS I will be going BSC over-analyzing my chart. Slight dip at 6dpo is feeding the BSC. My symptoms are still MIA that I usually get throughout my TWW so I'm not sure what to think of that. Get my progesterone tested tomorrow, will see if maybe that's lower this cycle?

@emeraldduchess Oooo definitely enjoy your day!! And a sugar cookie breakfast sounds divine!! Now I'm craving sugar. Do you have to make up the day-off at the end of the school year? (SoCal girl here, we don't get snow so not sure how those days work)

@kiki047 That's so great about the weight loss!! And you should just call it "HIO" (just the acronym) and when people ask, call it a super fancy new workout.

@stephanie123456 omg hahaha I should. And if they ask what that is I could tell them it's a mix of interval training, core strengthening and some yoga-like stretches...   I started a running gag with MF where I'd call out random yoga poses during sex just to make him laugh because he has a bad habit of kinda getting lost in his own head concentrating on ... what he has to do... but it backfired cuz now when I do real yoga I burst out laughing when I have to do something similar.

@emeraldduchess, I hope you enjoy your snow day! I vote for a balance of 25% productive around the house, and 75% relaxing/enjoying the day off!

@kiki047, you are sweet to agree not to test for YF. Last time H asked me not to test (because he didn't want me to be sad on christmas) .... I just tested super stealthily and didn't tell him. 😬

Update: feel a second cold sore developing in the corner of my mouth, uuuuuuuugggggghhhhhh. I really hope my doc will agree to prescribe the Valtex because this sucks.

@kiki047 We are always on opposite boards but wanted to say CONGRATS on the weight loss! Too funny about the HIO as exercise LOL. Hope you can get the cold sores under control, that's no fun!

Hi ladies!  I'm so slammed at work and don't have time to do my daily today, but just wanted to say hi and I'm thinking of you all!

@kiki047 Lysine is one of those things that hasn't been studied extensively with pregnancy, but my OB told me it's just an amino acid and should be safe.  I have had good luck with preventing them cold sores with lysine.  Supposedly it can also help with anxiety, but I dunno if I saw a notable difference.  But stress usually triggers cold sores for me, so maybe it has a double benefit in that way?

@shamrocandroll thank you! I couldn't remember who it was that recommended that. I am going to pick up some lysine and will take it as long as I dare (meaning until I get KU). I also got my prescription for the Valtrex (plus 12 refills which is the equivalent of 36 doses ) just in case.

@kiki047 I would all your OB about taking it while PG. You might still be able to. Mine said she didn't see any reason why not.
