My husband only likes names of children that he knew growing up.  He doesn’t seem to notice that no one is named these anymore, and that they are dated.

Please help me think of some names that are not trendy, but not dated  to suggest to him.

Re: Husband likes 80s/90s names.

  • Sarah is a great name. It was on our list for awhile. Also love Grace.

    What about:
    Anna
    Rebecca
    Claire
    Elizabeth
    Hannah
    Julia
    Laura/Laurel
    Alison
    Emma
    Rose
  • Print out the top 100 or 250 or 500 from the social security name list for 2018 and have him highlight ones he likes. Men aren’t really overall into names so when asked they think of names they are familiar with which usually are dated.

My husband was the same way, just because he doesn’t think much about names or pay attention to trends.  Sarah is classic and doesn’t feel 80s/90s to me the way Jennifer and Ashley do.  Reese goes well with Sydney. Suggestions that were around in the 80s/90s but not dated-

    Sydney and...
    Victoria
    Alexandra
    Erin
    Bridget
    Jacqueline
    Noelle
    Tara
    Cara

  • Sarah is lovely and timeless!
Maybe try finding an updated version of an 80s name.
