R/R: Two more days until the weekend! Rant - I’m not ready for it to be this cold yet. All I want to do is come home from work and curl up in a blanket... brrr.

CS/Q: Still no O yet. My temps are plummeting, so maybe today or tomorrow? I got 2 almost positive OPKs this past weekend and now they are lighter. I’m thinking my surge was overnight Saturday. Maybe a slightly delayed O due to travel? We’ll keep HIO in the meantime 😉

@SpongeWorthy FX on figuring out O! Are you mouth or vaginal temping? I used to have super rocky charts, so I started vaginal temping - so much better! If you have another cycle, it might be worth going that route. Just don’t change mid cycle 😊

@dogmomma096 I know!!! I’m ready for holiday season! Good luck with potentially talking to your family about TTC. Personally, it was a big weight lifted when I did it.

I literally sent DH a screenshot of the calendar from one of my fertility apps to explain the importance of certain days lol. He's going to be hunting during a prime chunk of my FW so I'm really hoping he gets a deer the first day and comes home! 

CS/Q: Sorry this is TMI but I usually have a heavy flow during AF. I have all of the cramping and PMS as usual but it's super light? I know this is only day two but it's very strange for me. My endo appointment is finally in sight (next month) so I'm getting a little anxious!

@cpiper39 - I would definitely keep testing until your temp spikes. Looks like you may have a delayed O and your body will gear up again.

@SpongeWorthy - Echoing cpiper39's questions. Vaginally is so much better for rocky charts. Also, most post-O temps are in the 97.7-98.3 range. So I don't quite see O in your chart yet. Keep testing, HIO, and waiting to see what your temps do.

@dogmomma096 - Sorry to see you over here too. Today IS my "Thursday"! Have an amazing time at your parents, and hopefully you can find a good time to talk to them about TTC.

@brookert615 - Let's hope the hunting trip is quick and successful! MH is going to be hunting a few days after Thanksgiving, but shouldn't have any over night trips, FX.

CS/Q: Talk to me about B vitamins. I know B6 helps lengthen LP, and B12 helps your body absorb B6, but I don't want to go overboard on the daily amount.

@marebear15 So sorry about CD1 and just being mad at the world ! B vitamins are very good! I would make sure you're not taking too much. If you're taking b-complex you should be fine as long as you aren't overlapping.

R/R: yesterday my coworker said she wasn’t feeling well (she was working at home) and was going to lay down “for a bit”. She never came back. Home girl took a 6.5 hour “nap”. That’s practically more than I sleep in a night. Did she take PTO? No fair!!! Rave- today is the last full day of work before we head up to my parents tomorrow! Can’t wait for some mom / family time. 

CS/Q: should I be worried that my temps are always way lower than average, specifally my post O temps?

@b_1029 Damnit friend, so sad to see you here. Have you had your 7DPO bloodwork checked? I think low post-O temps can be a sign of low progesterone but I don’t actually know what I’m talking about.

@dogmomma096 hmmm yeaaaaa the only time I had my progesterone tested was day 24 of a 26 day cycle so that probably wasn’t very helpful now that you mention that haha. I was thinking of making an appointment with my gyno to discuss so that’s definitely something I’ll bring up!

There's another manager at my work that "works from home" and pushes his responsibilities to everyone else in emails. He doesn't even remote his computer which would make him capable to work from home! Also enjoy all of the family time! Do your parents live far away? Hopefully you can get answers at your appointment about your low temps!

For your reading pleasure - Fish oil in all its glory: 

Fish oil is one of the best and richest sources of Omega 3 fatty acids. A variety of studies over the last 10 years have shown that Omega 3 has supported fertility by helping to regulate hormones in the body, through both the follicular and luteal phase. Another vital area it helps is to increase cervical fluid, which helps project the sperm and nourish it before it gets to the egg.

Omega 3 also helps at the point of ovulation by allowing follicles to remain more fluid, pop out the egg that is inside it and therefore allowing ovulation to occur. EFAs have a huge role to play in improving the lining of the womb by improving and increasing the blood flow to the reproductive organs

@b_1029 - When do you normally O? Hopefully we can move back over to TWW together! I think your temps are fine, especially since you can see a nice shift post-O. It could just be how your thermometer is calibrated.

@marebear15 Yes, I know a lot of them have B vitamins but I did read somewhere that you just need to be careful you're not overdoing it. And DH has a butcher do it for us but yes we get jerky! It is so good!

@marebear15 we've always done a photo card. DH last year actually custom made the whole layout. We like to do little updates. 2 years ago we highlighted our new pet Pinecone the hedgehog (huge hit). Last year we finally went on a honeymoon to Iceland so of course we had pictures of that! This year I was hoping for a bundle of joy or pregnancy announcement on the card but no  DH did get his Tesla Model 3 so we'll be highlighting that this year lol

Photo cards are nice because it saves us from having to write a bunch of crap over and over

R/R: Just found out that my company is switching health plans for 2019 so I won't be able to keep my current insurance!! I'm a little sad because I've had Kaiser since 2014 and love the convenience and ease of everything.

*TW* My entire pregnancy with DS was through this insurance and I loved being able to look at my results on their app and basically email my doctors and get a hold of them... and I'm pissed at having to find a new pediatrician and also a new OB/GYN for a new pregnancy. *End TW*

CS/Q: My temps are all over the place this cycle but I'm sure it's because of the cold I'm still trying to get rid of. Also, can you recommend a good supplement for increasing CM?

@cpiper39 I always get a dip a few days before O too. Its usually on CD 14 or 15. HIO is in order!

@brookert615 I think an occasional light flow can be normal. Two days is a little short but mine is anywhere between 3-5 days. Recently it's been close to 3 days and very light too. Can we blame the colder weather?

@b_1029 I think today would be an ideal day for you to need a "little cat nap" as well. Sorry for CD 1. And yes, I would talk to your doc about your low post O temps. It can be a sign of low progesterone.

I have one more project I need to get done before I can officially transition into holiday mode and I can't seem to muster the motivation to it. Instead, I'm on TB

Also.... I sprang out of bed this morning and started my morning routine then realized I forgot to temp. So I ran back to my bed, pretended to be asleep and then took my temperature. Do you think FF knows?

@stephanie123456 boo, I’m sorry about the insurance switch. It’s always such a headache trying to navigate insurance as it is, let alone an entirely new provider/plan! And yes echoing @brookert615 , green tea is supposed to help. I’ve noticed a slight increase when I drink that and grapefruit juice (which I’ve read increases CM also) but it’s not like I have a TON of CM.

@marebear15 Sorry for CD1.  All the hugs and wine to you   I do typically have lower temps.  I was looking back at my only other chart from 2 years ago and my post O temps go from 97.0 to 97.8 at the highest.  But that was also with temping orally so maybe that is why.  Thanks for the insight!

@b_1029 I also have lower temps typically.  Have you had your thyroid levels checked lately?  It can be indicative of hypothyroidism (which I do have).

@SpongeWorthy I have hypo as well. My levels have been within the normal range (haven’t gotten it tested for like 10 months though) but I’m not sure what “ideal” is for TTC.
