Pink/tan discharge at 6 weeks pregnant

has anyone had any pink/tannish colored discharge at 6 weeks pregnant? I am really worried. I only had it in my discharge and it was only once- I’ve pottied since then and nothing. But I’m worried about the pink/tan discharge..... how worried should I be? I’ve had mild cramping in my legs and back the whole pregnancy and there’s been no change in the pain or anything. This will be my second child. I’m 32. I have a 2 1/2 year old son and bled bright red blood at 6 weeks with him- and he came out totally healthy and perfect! So I’m not overly concerned but still enough to not be able to sleep much. I haven’t ate very well lately and I haven’t got much sleep at all- I also accidentally sat in a hot tub before I knew I wasn’t supposed to. My son is pretty rough when he plays too- worried he may inadvertently kick me in the stomach and hurt baby. Ughhh why am I obsessing over something I really can’t control! If I miscarry, then there’s nothing I can do about it- but we’re just really excited to have another baby it would just really be hard to accept that. Ughh I hate this mom worry! Please help!

Hi, welcome! It looks like you are new here so I’d encourage you to introduce yourself on the intro thread and read the “read this first” post pinned at the top of this board.

we are a community and one-off posts like these don’t go over well. If you scroll down a bit you’d see a “spotting thread” where unfortunately other ladies are in the same situation as you.

That being said, and you’d find this in that thread, that spotting can be normal, it can also unfortunately mean a MC and there’s really no way for any of us to know which way things will go. If you are really concerned you should call your dr. Also, I know hot tubs are discouraged but at 6 weeks I don’t think it’s a cause for alarm, and as far as your DS kicking you, your uterus is still tucked behind your pelvic bone so although I’d work with him to stop for future months, he is most likely doing no harm to your baby at this point.

  • I had that around week 6 with my last pregnancy - doctor said it was nothing to worry about - but you should call and notify your doctor just in case.
