I used to drive a beautiful 3 door fiesta which I loved, but not really practical for a baby. Last week we picked up our new Ford Focus, a 2016 model, and all seemed well. The first place we went to was mothercare to pick out a car seat, and that is where it all went wrong. Due to the incline in the rear seats it sits the car seat up, which isn't safe for a newborn without head control as they can occlude their own airway.
We spent a couple of hours with the technician at mothercare fitting different car seats into my car. The only one we could get to fit was the Maxicosi Cabriorix, without the base. Which would mean clipping the main seat belt each time to put the baby in and out of the car, and to add to it the seatbelt in the focus is one of the shortest that the technician had seen, so its a case of wiggling it into position....
Has anybody found an infant car seat that safely fits a new focus?
Please introduce yourself and jump in on other threads. I have a Chevy sonic, which is smaller than the Ford Focus and we use Britax seats. They do not fit in the middle, though, because then my H could not drive.

Car Seats for the Littles is a great resource. They also have a Facebook group where you can ask questions.
