 Rants/Raves?:

 How are you feeling?:

GTKY: What was (is) the best and worst candy to get in your trick or treat basket?

Re: Week 4 Check In 9/24

  •  Due date: 3/28

Any appointments? Questions?: Noting til Oct 5th. When did everyone start "showing"? Some times I have a little pooch and then the next I feel / look normal. Feeling like I won't believe it's all real until I get more of a "bump" going on!

Rants/Raves?: Rant: When people volunteer you for stuff without asking! Slowly getting over it, but I wish people just wouldn't assume I even want to do it. Rave: MH started new job, but old job is still paying. So next few weeks are double pay days :)

How are you feeling?: Pretty good besides the headaches and random gnarly heartburn phases.

GTKY: What was (is) the best and worst candy to get in your trick or treat basket? I remember one time neighbors made candy apples for us. It was the coolest thing when I was a kid. Though I think I ate all the candy and ditched the apple lol

Any appointments? Questions?: Next one is on Oct. 23– anatomy scan!

Rants/Raves?: RAVE: Got the NIPT results back! All is well AND it’s a healthy girl, just like we’d hoped & prayed for! VERY grateful.  <3

How are you feeling?: Terrible the past few days...

GTKY: What was (is) the best and worst candy to get in your trick or treat basket? Loved getting Whoppers and malt balls—especially the mushy ones. Worst candy is anything grape flavored or Twizzlers. They’re like slightly sweetened plastic-y rubber. Yuck.

Any appointments? Questions?: Next appointment 10/12 - we've got a busy next 2 weeks camping this weekend and my brother's wedding next weekend so it's going to come fast unlike that u/s appointment!
Anyone finding they're getting their energy back now that we're so close to 2nd trimester?

Rants/Raves?: Ranting about the blackheads on my chin that just won't go away, DH's car breaking down the week after we got the title for paying off my car, and the ridiculous teams in the NFL ruining my weekly pick 'ems LOL
Raving about work right now - there's so much on my desk right now but it's a lot of fun community events that I love being in charge of.

How are you feeling?: Overall the best I've felt since about week 7? Getting energy back and I'm not nauseous every hour on the hour. Still craving grapes daily but that's easy to deal with.

GTKY: What was (is) the best and worst candy to get in your trick or treat basket? I loved getting Reese's or Snickers. I hated the gummy/old lady candy...that sat in the trick or treat bag for months!

@kristimh80 Everyone's body is different of course but with my first I really "popped" at 15 weeks...people aren't kidding when they say they "pop". Went to bed on a Friday night with the bloated look and woke up on Saturday morning with a defined bump. You might be getting close  Definitely know how you feel with wanting to look more pregnant.
    kristimh80m3ganmc
  • @HoneyBear40 Thanks! That makes me feel better! Though I'm sure when it happens, I'll be complaining I have no clothes to wear lol So sorry your husband's car broke down. Hopefully, he's not like mine and wanting a new one. I think I hear that argument weekly!

  • @kristimh80 Oh yes there will be a turn of "dang now what do I wear?" And thanks..just one of those fun things about adulting LOL He hasn't mentioned getting a new one yet, wants to try and fix it himself (he's very handy so I trust he could do it) but in the meantime he's driving our truck (yes, we have 3 vehicles) and that's going to be expensive to drive daily while he fixes the car. I'm the one leaning at looking towards that new "Mom Mobile" :)
    kristimh80
  • @HoneyBear40 Lucky you he can fix it and you have 3 cars lol I love my car, but my husband is trying to "convince me" to get the car he wants because mine would have equity. I roll my eyes weekly at that because I have no desire to drive the SUV he wants. I keep telling him, if I'm getting an SUV...it's going to be something I actually want lol

  • @kristimh80 Oh very lucky he can fix it...or try to and when he can't we have a local guy that has worked on all our family's vehicles. Good luck on that argument - if you're going to drive a car everyday it should definitely be one you like!

  •  Due date: 3/26

Any appointments? Went in yesterday because I was spotting so had a reassuring scan. Baby boy was going nuts in there grabbing his feet and letting go.

    Questions?:

Rants/Raves?: I was on progesterone for my daughter 6 years ago and did not spot when I stopped. Apparently this guy wants to ramp up my anxiety

How are you feeling?: still super tired. Less nauseated. Still cranky, hoping dropping the Progesterone helps that.

GTKY: What was (is) the best and worst candy to get in your trick or treat baskets

    Best: Reeses Nutrageous
    Worst: Candy corn

  • @MrsFobeyFobes Glad you got to see your little one in there playing! Yes, I feel like when I stopped my progesterone shots, a lot of things got better and started feeling more "normal"...least as normal as you can be preggo! I've been off it for a few weeks now and still have my cranky moments, but I feel being off of it did help with the bloating part at least. Well at least in the morning...the evenings are a different story :)

  • Hi ladies! I haven't checked in in a few weeks cause life has been crazy but I've been lurking each week to see how you are all doing.

    Due date: 3/26

Any appointments? Questions?: 16 week appt on 10/9 and then anatomy scan on 10/30.

Rants/Raves?: Ugh. I had a stomach bug for a few days and I'm having the hardest time getting over it. I was just starting to get over the nausea and this has set me back so bad. Rave: I shared the news with all my family (other than my parents who have known for a while now) this weekend and it was great!

How are you feeling?: Apart from my gut, I'm doing pretty well. My energy is coming back too which feels amazing!

GTKY: What was (is) the best and worst candy to get in your trick or treat basket? Best was anything with chocolate and caramel, my favorite combo. Worst was tootsie rolls.
    catlady2015kristimh80
  • Just realized I messed up the due date note and listed it as 9/24-9/31 🤦‍♀️ Glad everyone is wiser than my preggo brain

    Due date: 3/27

Any appointments? Questions?: not until October

Rants/Raves?: Going to a Broadway show (in my town not nyc) this weekend

How are you feeling?: better today...not sure if I spaced my meals out better or if 2nd trimester is gracing me with it’s presence.

GTKY: What was (is) the best and worst candy to get in your trick or treat basket?

love snickers or skittles and always hated tootsie pops or rolls
    kristimh80
  • Hey, ladies!!

    Due date: 3/27

Any appointments? Questions?: Just had one on Monday. Prenatal lab work came back ok, noted that i've developed pregnancy induced hyperthyroidism, but it's thankfully mild. No treatment needed now, but they'll check my numbers again after the anatomy scan and make sure it's not progressing. NIPT came back as low risk for abnormalities and that has made me feel so much better!

Rants/Raves?: We just had to drop 1600 on one car and my car needs new tires. Also my job hunt is not going well, there is just not a market for my position close enough to make working not a giant PITA. I found one opportunity earlier this week, and we're talking over an hour commute just to get in on a good day. :(

How are you feeling?: I'm having a massive aversion to sweets right now. We baked cupcakes for DH's work to announce the sex of the baby and it was making me sick just smelling them. Such a sad day in the catlady household, I almost never say no to cupcakes! Otherwise thankfully the nausea is gone. So hopefully the second tri happy place is joining me.

GTKY: What was (is) the best and worst candy to get in your trick or treat basket?
Best: Reese's PB cups or Starburst!
    Worst: Mr. Goodbar/Krackle

  • @catlady2015 Hey, you're not alone in the car issues club! DH said again last night his "old reliable" car finally let him down :( Glad your hyperthyroidism is mild, fingers crossed it stays that way!
@m3ganmc Hahaha I didn't even notice and actually scrolled back up to look once you pointed it out...oops. I just looked at the title of the topic as week 4 check-in :)
@diaphena Hello, again! Hope you start to feel better.
    m3ganmcdiaphena
  • @catlady2015 Boo on the car trouble lately. FX you stumble across a good job soon that's a lot closer! I know for me, being preggo, after a certain amount of time in the car I get worn out and moody.

@m3ganmc lol I noticed it, but knew what you meant!

@diaphena So sorry you've been sick lately! Hopefully, you're at the very end and can start enjoying 2nd tri now :)

  • Due date: 3/25 ish

     Any appointments? Questions?: nope

Rants/Raves?: rant - I'm the worst mom ever as I shut dd's foot in the van door yesterday, which warranted an er trip. Rave - at least she's totally fine, just some bruising.

How are you feeling?: other than a huge dose of mom guilt nausea, great.

GTKY: What was (is) the best and worst candy to get in your trick or treat basket?
Best - Anything chocolate, but especially kit Kat. Worst - the orange and black crappy Halloween candy circle things that tasted like stale candles.

  • @HoneyBear40 and @kristimh80 Thank you both, I'm gradually getting better!

@sejica Glad your DD is okay! She will be just fine, don't let that guilt eat you up. Kids are durable!

@catlady2015 I can't take too much sweet stuff either, which is not like me at all. Sorry to hear your job hunt has been so difficult.
    kristimh80sejica
  • @kristimh80  Pretty sure my bump has a little baby to it finally! I noticed it a couple days ago. When I tried to suck in, I couldn’t so I’m assuming that’s baby now!

@HoneyBear40 I feel like I have so much more energy! It’s crazy how I read comments from other March Mom that are weeks ahead of us and just think I won’t get those symptoms, but low and behold, a few weeks later I do!

@catlady2015  I’m having the exact opposite feeling towards cupcakes right now. I’ve been craving a home baked sweet treat! Problem is I haven’t had the time or energy to make anything!

    Due date: March 29

Any appointments? Questions?: Oct 10. And anatomy scan oct. 29

Rants/Raves?: I told my principal, team members, and closest friends at work. And just in time, because I’m pretty sure my belly is no longer just burrito!

How are you feeling?: good! I’ve had some small, dull to sharp pains in my pelvis and growing uterus area, but I’m assuming it’s just growing pains. They go away very quickly.

GTKY: What was (is) the best and worst candy to get in your trick or treat basket? The best was butterfingers. Worst, anything that wasn’t name brand and popular candy. Where did people even get that stuff?
    keikilovem3ganmcHoneyBear40kristimh80
  • Due date: March 24

Any appointments? Questions?: 16 week on October 8th - impatiently waiting!

Rants/Raves?: Rant - there was a lab error with my NIPT which means I have to have it completely redone and wait another 7-10 days for results. I’m disappointed.

How are you feeling?: Really good! Nausea is gone. I weaned off of my B6 and unisom. Starting to be able to drink coffee again. I was starting to get some anxiety again, but then I start to feel baby move. That made me feel better!

GTKY: What was (is) the best and worst candy to get in your trick or treat basket? Best - Reese’s PB Cups, Worst - hard candy, smarties
    catlady2015m3ganmckeikilovekristimh80
  • @purpleteacher82 - glad you’re feeling better! Getting your caffeine back is huge. Sorry about your nipt, keep us posted! When are you getting the blood drawn again?

  •  Due date: March 25

Any appointments? Questions?: Oct 4th with the nurse practitioner

Rants/Raves?: I have so many rants but I'll only share my rave because I'm so far behind on checking in and I don't want to overwhelm the board. My husband has been amazing so far. He's allowed me to rest anytime I need and has really stepped up to help with our DD.

How are you feeling?: exhausted. I basically get home from work and go to bed. This is the reason I haven't been on the boards much.

GTKY: What was (is) the best and worst candy to get in your trick or treat basket? Plain Hershey bars are my fav. I don't like a lot of candy so there were so many that were given away or thrown away

@violetmarie61516 Good to see you checking in here. :) Sorry you’re feeling so exhausted. Nice that YH is helping out so much. Also sorry for the lack of NIPT results—that’s so frustrating! Hopefully you get them soon and all is smooth sailing from there.

Feel free to “overwhelm the boards”. I’m in a totally different time zone than most of you so I see all the comments (and comment on a ton of them lol) at the end of my day when you all are in deep sleep. It’s awkward seeing my own name as the last commenter on a lot of posts but by the time I wake up in the morning that’s all changed. Feel free to do it too. ;)
