Testing: Still OPKs. I really don't want to believe my early O this cycle. But my CP is clearly on a downward trend and I'm getting those pre PMS symptoms

R/R: Rave - almost the weekend! I have big plans for my back yard. I got a quote for a landscaper to come remove these outrageously overgrown beds all around our new house/re-sod and some river rocking and it came in a 4freakingthousand dollars. No thanks. So I'm getting dirty this weekend and ripping that ish out myself.

CS/Q: sooo TMI. anyone ever have a more swollen urethra area/vaginal walls post-O? def not an infection bc I literally have no other symptoms.

Testing: Going to try to WFAF since next week is the first week of school with kids and I don’t think I want good or bad news during the week. Maybe next Friday afternoon or Saturday morning. We’ll see if I can hold out

R/R: A little hesitant to be here, I got CH from FF but my temps from Ava aren’t as dramatic as my oral BBT temps were last cycle. I wish I had the sense to do both for one cycle while I’m still figuring out Ava. The positive OPKs are the only thing keeping me going since I’ve never seen positives before.

Testing: trying really hard to hold out and not test, because i know as soon as I start, I will obesess

R/R: Rant - I put on about 10 pounds over the last three months because of stress eating and not working out while on an intense deadline at work. Now it feels like everyone (MH's family, my co-workers, my family, the barista at the coffee shop...) is asking if I'm pregnant. It's gotten to a point that I just want to make a t-shirt that says, "nope, just got fat", because having people asking constantly while I'm waiting is making me crazy. Rave - the coffee shop by work is still doing their awesome $6 healthy breakfast special for an extra week, so I am looking forward to that.

@chichiphin: I also have that for the first time this cycle. Maybe it has to do with the crazy weather this month?

@chichiphin sounds like something we would do ourselves to. It's also much more fulfilling when you get compliments after the fact!

@dogmomma271 I agree you should have done both temps (but really, who enjoys waking up to take their temp....) . I know vaginally are usually higher then oral and I think I read that orally is usually higher then the Ava.

@knottied1bba3e9ee74a7cd sorry people are asking inappropriate questions. I will never understand why they feel okay. Also, if you are going to stuck around and hang with us, you may want to change your user name. This will make it easier for us to get to know you and tag you in conversation!

R/R: We foolishly forgot to log out of our netflix account at the rental house. Some b^&@$ took free reign to create herself a profile and even upgrade my acct. Luckily I caught it before being billed and have given her the boot. DH said I should have changed her profile name to reflect my opinions of her and know I'm wishing I had.

CS/Q: This mornings temp may have been inaccurate due to me getting up at 4 and going back to bed (temp at 530). I'm certain that FF will not give me crosshairs so I'm officially done temping this cycle.

Oh, I didn’t spot yesterday or today yet, hope this trend continues. I did take the supplement the last few days as I didn’t really see any harm and I am just going to do a half dose.  I doubt they worked that quickly but maybe.

So I tried to start a new hobby last weekend. I really wanted to learn how to knit. I have crocheted before but that was years ago. I started out knitting for about 30 min the first day. The second day I decided to sit out on my deck and listen to podcasts as I knit away. I ended up knitting for about 2-3 hours. I had to stop because my left thumb started to get tingly. Now, 4 days later, my thumb is still numb/tingly. I’ve read that this is common but even after only 2-3 hours?! WTH. Does anyone have any advice on how to get the tingliness to go away?

    CS/Q:
Huge temp drop today… implantation dip anyone? Of course that’s all I’ve been googling this morning. It was cooler in the house by a couple degrees but I was sleeping with 2 blankets on instead of 1 so not sure what’s going on with that. In the past I never temped all the way through the TWW so this is all new territory for me.

@prpl11butterfly - i feel like your chart is looking pretty good...for a FF newbie, why do you think they won't give you crosshairs?
  • Options
@lcking82 because I missed those 2 days right before O. I slept through my alarm *shrugs*. I'm pretty confident with my O date based on my other signs so I'll just leave it set this way. No sense in stressing myself out (or getting false hope) with inaccurate temps.

I actually say this very thing to people who ask. Its worth it for their reactions alone, AND they never ask again!

@chichiphin - YES for yardwork! It sucks while you're doing it, but there's nothing like stepping back and seeing all the work you did at the end of the day. Great feeling.

@chichiphin all the best with your backwards renovation. Stay hydrated!

@dogmomma271 fx this cycle. I respect your resolve to wait.

Excited to head home this afternoon. Loved the brevity of my work trip.

R/R: Hi ladies! I’ve been lurking for a bit as I’m new to TB TTC board but decided to join in the convo! Hope I’m doing it right.  I just started temping this cycle, kind of fun but I’m sure the novelty will wear off, ha! Of course my first cycle temping I get sick with a fever/chills/aches the morning I get my +OPK

C/S: I thought FF would discard temps if I marked illness but still gave me crosshairs..I feel like it’s probs close to accurate but it’s saying I O’d before my + OPK. I’m thinking I O’d CD 13. Hopefully won’t matter since I think timing is good but just confusing since it’s my first time charting and I have a fever!

@chichiphin $4k?! I have to do something similiar this year and that is not giving me much hope that it'll be a quick/cheap job. Yowza. GL ripping that out yourself. Good way to get out some aggression (at least that's how I look at it when I'm weeding, lol). Oh, and yes I do notice a bit of swelling (?) near the end of my cycle. I always attributed it to increased blood flow to the area.
@dogmomma271 hello hello! Back to school already, where did summer go?! How are you feeling about it?
@knottied1bba3e9ee74a7cd I second what prpl11 said about your username. But really sorry people are so insensitive. They don't realize how hurtful it can be, not just from a TTC POV (esp if you're struggling) but also for self esteem. For me the worst culprits are the people closest to me too, like my mom or close family. I turn down a glass of wine and the first thing out of their mouth is "WHY, are you... PREGNANT?!" Ugh.
@prpl11butterfly seriously?! who does that?! Wow. Glad you caught it in time.
@jhems776 I giggled reading it, lol.
@LJMoon6 How was your anniversary? Did YH surprise you last night?
@lcking82 have fun playing around with FF! I think I might be in the minority when I say I actually love temping. I look forward to seeing what tomorrow's will be, lol.

R/R: I finally found a green smoothie flavour combo that I like, and I've been making MH drink it too. His coworkers are teasing him so much about it because he is notorious for eating crap and I am pretty pleased with myself, haha. He's only accused me of trying to kill him (with green sludge) once this week.

CS/Q: Confession - sometimes I just open FF to stare at my chart. How many days does my temp need to stay above my coverline to assume that I actually did ovulate? I know it should be the entire LP but I now live in fear that my temp will just drop and maybe my body just fooled me again.

@lcking82 Sorry about the slow morning. I hate when I want to get stuff done but something/someone is keeping you from it.

@LJMoon6 Fx it is an implantation dip! I have the same dip in my charts but I believe it's due to a 2nd estrogen surge.
@lcking82 I agree, I think it's best to wait until the day of AF. Otherwise, you drive yourself crazy testing and wondering if it's just too early or what. I'm glad you're hoping on the FF train!

sorry it's been busy at work - yes 4k for everything. I live in a very sheshe area, lots of money flowing, so I'm sure people pay it. and for those asking for pics - I'm essentially ripping out literally everything and just want grass. soooo I'm not really honoring the gardens lol. Last weekend it was raining and I started on the front and was COVERED in mud but it was much easier ripping ish out in the wet soil.

@LJMoon6 aww, YH should get extra points just for remembering. And yes, hello from North of the border. There's a reason so many people end up going stateside for treatment when they just can't wait that long here. I'm a big advocate for holistic treatments/remedies so I'm glad to be working with a naturopath who specializes in fertility. I had already done a ton of research on my own so she was pretty impressed by all of the things I was already doing and just adjusted some of the doses and added a few other homeopathic treatments to the regimen. I guess the biggest thing for now will be keeping my expectations in check as this won't be a quick-fix so I can't expect results overnight. Her main focus for now is to try to regulate my hormones and cycles without resorting to metformin/clomid/femara. I've never responded well to drugs so at least this makes me feel like I'm doing something while we wait for the referral. Based on the fact that my temps stabilized almost immediately when I cut out gluten and simple carbs speaks volumes. And if I really did ovulate, that's just the icing on the cake!

@crookshanks10 Yay! GL with your RE appointment tomorrow! I hope they'll have all the answers you need to kick things into high gear. As for the green smoothies, since I'm off dairy I've switched to coconut kefir and I added coconut manna this morning. MH hates coconut but he's trying so hard to be supportive of my diet because he understands I'm doing it for "us". I'm betting he won't say anything about it if he didn't like it, but if he makes his own smoothie in the morning before I come downstairs then I'll know he hated it

@crookshanks10 Hey lady! I've missed you around here! I read so much about implantation dips this morning that I'm almost positive it's just another estrogen surge and means nothing lol. My head is telling me one thing but my bsc heart is telling me another. I'm so excited to hear about your appointment tomorrow. Do you feel ready for it? Have questions prepared? How is your DH feeling about it?

@kiki047 I totally think there's something in holistic medicine. There's so much with the mind body too that we don't understand. I'm glad you found someone you like and are staying realistic about the process. That's so good that you're already seeing changes. I hope this is exactly what you needed.

@LJMoon6 most likely a pinched nerve due to travel and lack of ergonomic seating/equipment when I WFH.

@crookshanks10 thank you so much! even if they say take motrin, etc. for a few weeks, I'll take it as long as I know what's going on.

Ok it’s definitely going to get harder for me to be actively posting once school starts, but I promise to try my best!!

@chichiphin Way to go! Definitely worth doing the work yourself. I totally get bodies being frustrating and not doing what you’d expect!
@prpl11butterfly LOL I can’t get over what happened to you! Crazy enough to use your account but to create a profile AND UPGRADE it?!?! That’s so ridiculous - glad you caught it before you were billed! How could you even prove it wasn’t you?
@LJMoon6 FX it’s an implantation dip! I’m excited for school but wish I had more time to prep! I’m doing a lot of new stuff this year so I don’t think I’ll ever feel ready.

@chichiphin I hope you have great weather! It's so satisfying tearing plants out of the mud and seeing your progress at the end of the day, ESPECIALLY when things are crazy at work.

I hope the username thing is fixed now; I can't see from the app, but I've now changed it both on the Knot and in the Bump app, so hopefully it works this time!
