Trying to Get Pregnant

CD 17 negative OPK

I have been testing OPK and temping in the last six months. My cycle is usually 29/30 days, and in the past I O'd on CD 17, although weirdly last month my cycle was 27 days and o'd on CD15.

This month I was expecting O on CD 17 but I kept getting negative OPK. Well in fact I never got positive OPK so I don't know how much I trust this, but it is just frustrating that OPK is not reliable. I check opk twice a day.

My cervix this morning was high, soft and open. Maybe my temp will go up tomorrow morning. Maybe I should get digital opk and give up on the Internet cheapies...

Does anyone have any advice on this matter?

Re: CD 17 negative OPK

  • My advice would be to keep testing with opk and do it twice per day starting at 11 am and do another one in the evening since if you test once every 24 hours, your surge might not last for 24 hours when it starts, which will mean you'll miss it. I recommend going here to introduce yourself and reading the link mentioned in the OP to get a feel for the community here. When you're ready, you can jump into the daily threads, depending on where you're at in your cycle (tww or wto) and ask these kinds of questions there. https://forums.thebump.com/discussion/12731019/newbie-intro-thread-week-of-7-2
People think we become mothers when we give birth but the truth is we become mothers the moment we start calling our babies to us in our thoughts, dreams and prayers. Some paths are short and some are so long that you can easily forget where you were headed.
