Re: Symptoms - July

  • @molosmiles the one thing that’s comforted me is that I can feel that my uterus has expanded and is pretty close to my belly button at this point. So that gives me hope that she’s still growing in there! But weirdly I also felt like I was feeling more a few weeks ago!

@leighbrek it’s hard to reconcile the fact that baby is so low but your baby belly is higher at this point. It’s caused mostly by shifting organs. Where I can see my baby bump is well above where baby is located but it’s because my intestines have been shifted upward. Not necessarily all bloat. But that can play into fluctuating size.

  • @BitterBetty12 I know. I figured everyone would have figured that out by now so didn't bother adding it. My point was just that it can be comforting to know/visualize where the baby sits at each stage so that ladies might not stress as much when the belly swells and shrinks randomly. Might also help peeps to sort out if certain feelings could possibly be baby, which is also fun!

+1 for the gas....oh the gas  :s I started telling DH that's the baby's way of saying "hello" lol

on the plus side, also getting a nice second tri libido boost

For the first time yesterday I was hit hard with the uncontrollable mood swings. I am normally very even tempered and unemotional and I was in a meeting at work and was frustrated on how it was going and my mood was surging all over the place so I didn't trust myself to even open my mouth because I wasn't sure if I would start crying or cussing or what...it was weird
I ended up going back into my office and crying for the first time at work EVER and had to just put my headphones on and shut my door and listen to soothing music to calm myself down...ugh
  • @leighbrek thank you!!! I can definitely feel where my uterus is which isn't something I noticed in either of my other pregnancies. But the early stages of pregnancy can be so nerve wracking!
  • @molosmiles I know what you mean! Even though the risk of miscarriage is now at like 1% it's so hard to go a month without a lot of evidence that everything is going to plan. I didn't feel the baby at all yesterday, so I tried laying on my stomach today... No go. Sigh.
  • @KLS123 I'm finally getting there with mood swings, too. I'm normally very patient, but I've been very short-tempered the last week. And I keep having these moments where I start to well up with tears at the smallest of inconveniences. Sorry you had to deal with that at work.

@BitterBetty12 I'm anxious for the same reason - STM almost 17 weeks but haven't noticed a lot of movement yet. I'm only sure of one time and that was almost two weeks ago. Fx both our appointments go well next week. I need some reassurance!
  • @katethemom ah I’m sorry you’re struggling too. But I’m glad I’m not alone. I am crossing my fingers we both get great news! I didn’t know I was feeling DD for sure until 20 weeks when my anatomy scan confirmed that she was right where I thought I was feeling her. But I think I’m hind sight I felt little things back at 18 weeks. So now at almost 17 with only small moments I’m starting to freak out. But really I have to remember that by this point with DD I 100% didn’t feel anything at all. So I guess there is a difference.

  • @katethemom and @BitterBetty12 Do you know where your placenta is? I think having an anterior placenta can affect how soon/late you can feel baby. If it makes you feel any better, I'm almost 14 weeks with #2 and have a posterior placenta and haven't felt a thing yet. I remember feeling DD at 16 weeks.. I'm sure everything will be fine :) I also can't wait to feel kicks. They are so reassuring.

  • @Mandamay1414 With DD I had an anterior placenta. This time I'm not sure - but at this point I'm assuming anterior again!

  • I had round ligament pain all night and couldn't sleep :( Today we're supposed to see houses and I'm a complete zombie with a sore belly. I'm even too tired to eat my breakfast! Hopefully I get rest after we come back home, I really need it.
  • Anterior placenta over here...SOMETIMES I'm pretty sure I feel baby, but it isn't very often. Now that I'm solidly in 16th week I'm much more confident in the movements, but they last seconds and happens only once a day or every other day this last week. With DD I felt her around 16-17weeks very similarly, but I remember even at my 20week scan I could only feel some of the movements I saw her making. I was hoping to feel more of baby this time around, but alas, it's basically the same.

  • @sweetyjenj Same to hoping it would be different but we seem to be following the same pattern here too (as my pregnancy with DD but also as you). I mean, I do think I felt some movements in the earlier weeks. But at this point (17 + 1) I only have a couple of moments a day at most where I think I feel her. And I'm not always sure.

I have had morning sickness again for the past 3 days. Thankfully my afternoon nausea is not accompanying it. But like. WHYYY.

  • anyone else feel like they are waddling already? I'm only 14 weeks, but my gait is definitely different..
  • So jealous of everyone with increased libido. This is my third baby and I have never experienced this symptom. I get salty every time my apps suggest I should be having it lol

  • @Mandamay1414
A slight waddle, mainly when I first stand up after sitting for a while. I've also noticed that my physical ability to sprint out of bed has disappeared and bending over to pick something from the floor is getting interesting. I'm very very slight normally, and I've done acrobatic workouts for years. This whole belly in the way is cramping my style! Hahaha. I mean this with affection.
  • @snackheart I unfortunately agree with you,  no libido here,  my poor DH.
My symptoms are pretty minimal except acne but i've noticed one foot is really snug in shoes this week.  Not sure if that's normal or unrelated.
