Mucus build up while pregnant?

I've had problems with mucus buildup since I was about 7 weeks I am currently 15 wks 1 day. Has anyone else had this problem where everytime you turn around you have to spit? I know it sounds gross but it stays in the back of my throat and always makes me gag. if you do have this problem have you found anything to help?
