I had a meeting this morning with someone who canceled three previous meetings with me with no notice. She e-mailed me this morning 30 minutes before our scheduled meeting time to let me know she arrived early and asked if we could meet earlier than our agreed upon time. I was available, but made her wait so I could finish Bumping.

My favorite Game of Thrones character is Petyr Baelish. He's just endlessly fascinating. It's fun to watch how he weilds his power and manipulates so many events in to existence.
**and yes, I'm completely caught up on all the seasons**
I gave my H grief last night about wanting to get take out. This was mainly because we have leftovers in the fridge and I would have been fine with a sandwich, but I told him we really need to watch our spending. I left out the part that my coworker and I went out to lunch yesterday and I spent $12 on my meal (when normally I eat for free at work).
....I did end up getting us take out, but was pretty close to holding strong since he was being so whiney about it.
@nlc8424 well I just spent $15 to get a sandwich delivered because it's raining outside. Jimmy John's is quite lucky that they didn't give me a customer feedback survey because 26 minutes is not what I would consider freaky fast
I hid from my toddler and ate some thin mints. Twice. Today.

@pourmeamocktail I’m impressed you still have thin mints left! They did not last long in my house I hide the good snacks from my toddler too. He won’t appreciate them like I do, so he gets the cheaper less exciting snacks. I think he knows this since whenever he sees me eating something when I leave the kitchen, he comes running over yelling I need something. When I ask what he wants, the answer is I don’t know.
@nackie Baby brain for the win. Hid them from husband and son...forgot where they are. Found them while party cleaning last week. Hiding and eating them alone as much as possible. I'm "celebrating" not having GD? That's my excuse, yup.

@nlc8424 Yessss I was totally guilting MH because he was eating out for lunch almost every day (buying cheap stuff) and I pack my lunch most days. Then I realized I've been going out for lunch 1-2x/week with friends/coworkers to nicer places and spending likely the same amount he is going out 4-5x. I haven't said anything to him since.
@pourmeamocktail The downside to having an "older" child is she goes grocery shopping with me, remembers exactly what treats we buy and then requests them by name, even if my plan was to hoard them from her. She doesn't like mint or coconut though, so if I'm eating something I don't want to share I usually just tell her it contains one of those.

Also, my manager has asked me to work two different days next month at another hospital and I'm dreading it because the office is hotttt and I don't want to be the difficult one always turning on the air. But for whatever reason my company has golden hand cuffs and I can't say no. Ugh
Our dog is a strictly outdoor dog. He comes in on cold winter days and winter nights, but even that is in the daylight basement we don’t use as living space. He’s a lab, he used to be a “normal” indoor dog before dd’s diagnosis and first hospital admission. Technically, there is no research showing having a dog is a risk to cf, but dh just couldn’t stomach the risk, and my house is ssoo much cleaner now...
when we go on vacation we leave him with friends who keep hom inside with them. I feel guilty he gets it better w them than at home.

@pourmeamocktail I am so jealous of your thin mints! They are the best.
FFFC - I'm working on my baby registry at work. Work is really busy and I'm certainly supervising. But, my projects are undercontrol and my people seem on track. So...I'm picking out hooded baby towels...why don't they sell these in a pack?
Yes, that's right, I'm still not done with my registry and it's still private. UGGG.
I am a HUGE control freak when it comes to how the dishes are washed in my house.
Due to said confession, I hate every time my mom tries to "help" while cleaning and washes my dishes. 75% of the time I have to rewash the dishes she already washed and it drives me crazy. This was the case tonight when I got home to a sink full of clean dishes, only to discover as I was putting them away that they needed to be rewashed. I cried, like an unreasonable amount because of this.
@nlc8424 omg. Are you my twin? Were we separated at birth? I could have written that post. For me the only thing is that I HATE doing dishes. Hate, loathe, despise, do not want to be in charge of dishes. But I'm so soooooooo picky about them! Well, I don't think I'm picky. I just want them to be actually clean, but I swear my definition of clean does not align with others' because I constantly find my self rewashing things.
@stothilike how does one not see when there is grease, or crumbs, or whatever still stuck to the dish?
I don't mind doing dishes, I like having my hands in water. And I like really clean dishes. But I hate repeating something that could have been done well in the first place.
@nlc8424 I’m picky about how my dishwasher is loaded. I try to appreciate when H does it so I wait until he goes to work and reload it my way before running the cycle.
My FFFC: I don’t trust people who don’t like animals. My in-laws have never in my Hs 39 years of life allowed a dog in the house. Last weekend when I chose to sit outside with my dog instead of come in to eat they let her in so I would come inside. I totally picked my dog over family. And I guess another confession is that I don’t feel bad for picking my dog over people.
My BFF got me one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Hooded-Towels-Babykiss-Assorted-Designs/dp/B078GLMC1W?keywords=KissBaby&qid=1529106313&sr=8-2&ref=mp_s_a_1_2

Yes, I will join team clean dishes. If there is visible food on the plate then you aren't done washing. Also my dishwasher does not combo as a garbage disposal so please rinse things so I don't have to pick dried noodles off things that never served noodles. And plus also if you pack the dishwasher too tight then the water can't clean the dishes.
I'm at the point to where if DH wants to load dishes in dishwasher, I'll let him. I don't care how it looks. He knows if they aren't completely clean first time, to restart dishwasher. I've been too exhausted. I just really appreciate the help and at least right now, he seems to enjoy doing some chores around house. Next step is teaching him about laundry. Ha!
I totally turned off the dishwasher and reloaded it last night when dh wasn’t aware... he had cleaned up the kitchen and started it, which was great! But, our dinner dishes were still on the table, and were totally gonna fit, and I hate dishes in the sink in the mornings.

@EErin86 yes!!! And can we please all acknowledge that cooked on, dried hard, crusty egg will not come off in the dishwasher? Don't play like it will. We all know that has to be scrubbed off.
My husband refuses to "waste"dish soap, so pretty much every plastic thing he washes I have to wash again because it's still greasy. He'll just put them away. But currently, we're a family of 4 with no dishwasher...so I still get frustrated if I end up doing too many loads in one week. Like the last seven days I did 8 loads and he did 2 (we had a party last weekend-it was more dishes than usual, and I had to make up the difference...even though he got to skip out on all cleaning and a lot of set up!!!). He didn't understand why I was angry.
I hate re washing dishes, but I'd rather wash his plastics again than have things be that unequal.

Forgot to add: we do cloth diapers, cloth wipes for the whole family, cloth napkins, etc and I have to wash that load of dirty stuff every other day, and due to quantity of wipes it's a lot to fold, but I don't hate folding, and my husband isn't fanatic about how it all get folded and organized (I totally care how rectangles get folded, because I want the folds on the same edges...), so I don't let him help with those at all. I don't get angry about that though.
Post birth I'll probably let him help for a week or two.

I should probably be flamed for this. Or maybe I just feel guilty. I have only taken my prenatal vitamin maybe 20 times this whole pregnancy. Usually i forget but then i made a point to put them by the coffee maker and by my toothbrush and I still dont take them. Not sure why.
@ellbeedee first trimester I took them less than half the time cuz swallowing them made me gag, but even now some nights I just don’t have the energy to take them. Kind of pathetic that I literally lack the energy to swallow a pill, but there it is. I figure with the amount of folate fortified foods out there, as long as I’m eating lots of fruits and veggies baby will probably be ok. I do feel guilty about it though
@ellbeedee I put mine on my nightstand. So before I go to bed I make sure to take my vitamin, aspirin, and allergy pill. It’s the only way I can remember. I was doing okay at first with it in the kitchen by my coffee, but started to slack so I moved it.

I only just now ordered a second bottle of prenatals and my first was only a 60 days supply... Oops. I was just too nauseous first trimester to get them down most of the time. I'm actually doing great now... At the very end of the second trimester... Better late than never?
My midwife has me on a cocktail of vitamins due to previous pre term baby and propensity towards UTI and yeast. So I have 5 pills and 4 chewable cubes every night. Luckily my nausea was light and ended early, and most of the pills didn't start till 14 weeks. It's hard to forget about taking them for me-I'm ordered to take before bed. We have "custom zoned AC" which is my fancy way of saying 4 window units to cool off on house-it otherwise reaches 90+ inside for days on end, and no one sleeps. So when I go to turn AC on like 30 min before bed I take pills and chews, then brush teeth.

@ellbeedee I've been feeling guilty because I've been skipping my prenatals a couple times a week maybe. Sometimes I forget, frequently I remember when I'm on the cusp of sleep and guiltily choose not to rouse myself and have to try to fall asleep again. With DD I was religious about taking them and payed more attention to trying get some nutritious foods into my diet. This poor baby is already getting so much less social attention. *Hidingfacemonkeyemoji*
I have a little set of screw-top rainbow cups from the drugstore for each day of the week, which I pre-fill with my prenatal, D, DHA, and Calcium. I have to wait at least 4 hours after my thyroid pill to take them, so I've been throwing the little cup in my lunch bag, and having them at work before my break is over.
Whatever works, but that way, for me, even if I don't take them at work for whatever reason, I will see them again when I'm unpacking my lunch bag and take them when I get home.
@ellbeedee I was forgetting a lot, so I ended up putting a little container by my bed, one in my purse where I keep my keys, one on the kitchen counter, and one on my desk at work. I have to take them within a certain time of eating or ill get sick, so having them in multiple places helps me remember.
