1. How far along are you? Any milestones? 11+6, 5 weeks last my loss! 2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)? Not bad! I finally figured out that my prenatals were making me puke, and as long as I take them with food, my nausea is minimal. I'm still SO tired and bitchy, though. 3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)? I don't have another OB appt until 6/26, so that's pretty stressful. I did just order a Doppler, though, so hopefully that gives me some peace of mind. 4. Any appointment updates? Just going in for my NIPT labwork tomorrow. 5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): We announced to my Grandma when we were in CA over the long weekend. She is the first family member we've told, the only other people who know are my boss and best friend. She is pretty excited, this will be her first great-grandkid. 6. GTKY: any fun plans this summer? We are supposed to go to Idaho in August to visit some of my husbands family. I'm pretty sure I'm not going anymore, though. There's always a ton of people, and a ton of partying, and honestly, it just sounds annoying to me right now. Maybe my feelings will change as we get closer to it.
1. How far along are you? Any milestones? 13w3d, past my milestones
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)? Was super tired yesterday & super uncomfortable sleeping last night. Some aches/pains and still constipated. Boo
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)? Okay-ish
4. Any appointment updates? Just got the call for my Panorama results & everything looks good. Pick up the envelope with the gender in it this afternoon. Eek!
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): Not too much. Worked two long days at a food tent this past weekend with my husband (chef) at a Bluegrass festival.
6. GTKY: any fun summer plans? Son has 3.5 days of school left. Only plan is to visit my dad for an extended family BBQ in NJ for 4th of July. Son hopes to visit Legoland while we're there.
1. How far along are you? Any milestones? 11w1d. Past my loss milestones.
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)? Minimal nausea, still pretty tired. Crazy dreams every night which make me feel like I've barely slept.
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)? Feeling okay. Really relieved to have gotten good results on our NIPT. It's been over a week since we've seen baby and my next appointment isn't for 2.5 weeks, which really sucks. I bought a Doppler but so far have been unsuccessful at finding a HB. I know that's normal though, so not letting myself freak out about it just yet.
4. Any appointment updates? NIPT was negative for chromosomal abnormalities and we found out we're having a girl
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): Going back to work my old job today since I'm done with school and can't start applying for jobs until I pass the board exams. Haven't been there since January, hopefully things haven't changed too much. 6. GTKY: any fun plans this summer? Meeting up with some ladies from my son's BMB at the end of June. Going to see my sister and nephews in South Dakota, and a friend from Florida is going to be visiting with her family at the end of July. Might go visit my dad and grandpa in AZ if I can afford it.

1. How far along are you? Any milestones? 13w3d - Almost to the 2nd trimester!
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)? Pretty good! Nausea is gone and most aversions with it.
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)? Getting a tad bit better. Bleeding has slowed up; I think it correlates with my activity, which oddly enough, knowing that helps my anxiety.
4. Any appointment updates? I have a friend who is a radiology tech and her friend at work is an US tech and said I could come up there next week and get a sneak peak to see if we could figure out the sex of baby!
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): We are having a bbq and swim party this weekend and I'm watching my 2 nephews overnight Saturday. I don't want to, but I didn't figure that was a good enough reason to decline, lol.
6. GTKY: any fun plans this summer? My birthday is in June and we are doing a road trip to San Antonio and going to Sea World!
@mommythelegend Congrats on good blood work!!! Excited to hear whether it's a boy or girl! @Hollyyyyy Oh yeah, I'm bitchy for sureeee. @coco2787 Yay for good blood work and an awesome baby girl!
@coco2787 Good luck at your old job today! @mommythlegend I'd be staring at the clock all day if I had my results waiting for me...exciting! @Hollyyyyy I'm glad you figured out your prenatals were the culprit. I take mine right before bed because mine make me even more nauseous, but I seem to sleep through it.
1. How far along are you? Any milestones? 10+6 Almost 3 weeks past my loss! 2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)? Still super nauseous all day, moody and burpy. 3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)? Ugh, I was doing ok until my toddler dropped the peoples elbow on my belly Monday night. Now I'm worried with every little cramp and I fear blood every time I pee. 4. Any appointment updates? I go in next Thursday for my NT scan and then will decide from there what genetic testing we might do. 5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): Just getting back into the swing of things at work after being gone all last week. DD was an absolute hoot last night and her antics actually made me forget how crappy I felt...even though I had to reprimand her 3 times for saying "oh, shit!" 6. GTKY: any fun plans this summer? I'm really excited for this summer! Possibly a 20 year high school reunion (we can't decide on the date and will probably end up having 2 separate reunions), family reunion in the mountains (haven't seen a majority of these people since my wedding 3 years ago) and a wedding in Minnesota at a lake (DH is a groomsman and DD is the flower girl).
@clbness Toddler's are so rough!!! It has helped since we told him about the baby, so now I can talk about it and he seems to understand and be more gentle! Prayers all is ok!
1. How far along are you? Any milestones? 11w3d. Well past my milestone at this point!
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)? I’ve had terrible headaches the last three days. This is exactly what happened my last pregnancy and around the same time. Only thing that helped was coffee every day so I’m currently drinking my first cup in a while. Luckily I think I’m past the point of it making me sick. I hope it helps the headaches!
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)? Feeling good because I had an appointment last week and I got to see a wiggly baby. Before that my anxiety was starting to ramp up. I’m glad I have another appointment next week.
4. Any appointment updates? Not this week.
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): I’m having an impatient day with my one year old and I yelled and she got upset so now I feel bad. Ugh. How do you get 15 month olds to listen without yelling all the time? She generally ignores me or thinks it’s a game when I say no. How to make her understand “no” is not a game?
6. GTKY: any fun plans this summer? I don’t have any big plans. Hoping to get to the shore for a couple of day trips and maybe the zoo. We have a great zoo that I’ve bever actually been to and I think dd would have fun. Other than that we are trying to get our house up for sale so most weekends will be dedicated to that.
@coco2787 and @Hollyyyyy I have a Doppler too but I’m afraid to use it lol. I think if I can’t find the heartbeat my anxiety will skyrocket. So I’m waiting til maybe 14 weeks or so to whip it out.
@Hollyyyyy I'm with you on the big-party hesitation. We were just invited to a big going-away party in July, and I don't feel like being the only non-drinking preggo there...but I love those folks. Decisions.
@mommythlegend How was the festival? I remember you were concerned about having to work outside for two days, but it sounds like you survived!
@coco2787 DH and I were talking about Dopplers last night, and I said that I would just freak myself out with one (at least, I think that I would). Let us know when you find that HB more reliably
@texas_t My birthday is in June too *high fives for Texas gals whose names begin with T who were also born in June* Please give SA my best, and get a gallon of tea for me at Bill Miller's BBQ.
@clbness I didn't realize that mine & DH's 20th HS reunions are in 3-4 years Maybe we'll go to his if he's not deployed. Have fun at yours!
1. How far along are you? Any milestones? 12 Weeks today, three weeks past my loss!
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)? My appetite is still gone, but still taking my vitamins and trying to not eat junk. Yesterday my breast sensitivity suddenly went away - totally freaked me out - but WTEWYE assures that sometimes the pain goes away because the milk ducts have finished their initial construction. Got a random bloody nose last night, that was cool.
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)? Medium, trying to be mellow. Next appt is in a few weeks, just before we move. Trying to remind myself that this time is different from last time, and that this pregnancy has been textbook-normal so far.
4. Any appointment updates? Nope, just waiting on our NIPT results!
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): Dear Diary, I miss my appetite and desire to cook. I know that living on salads and fruits isn't bad, but I miss cooking our favorite Indian meals and turning anything into soup. *le sigh*
6. GTKY: any fun plans this summer? Moving to Alabama in a few weeks, then setting up house. Our rental property just turned into a money pit, so I may not be re-building a garage in the fall. We were invited to a big ol' lake party in July, but we're not sure if we'll have the time/money to go. It would be fun, but I would be the only one not drinking, and that's already gotten old. Options!

1. How far along are you? Any milestones? 9w6d - 3 weeks past my loss
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)? Tired and cranky. Also gassy.
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)? My anxiety is high right now. We had my last RE appointment last Thursday and baby looked great but I can't help to worry!
4. Any appointment updates? Tomorrow afternoon is my first OB appointment. I am SO nervous. 1.. that baby will not be ok and 2.. just in general since it is a new OB. I am also hoping so hard that I get NIPT blood work drawn.
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): Im so envious of all of you who are 12 and 13 weeks along. I feel like I am SO BEHIND and time is just standing still!
6. GTKY: any fun plans this summer? We are going to Boston for the weekend this coming weekend, trying to plan a vacation for the first week in August but having trouble deciding where and a family reunion in Virginia in late August.
@rosebud332 I'm just now to the point where not all coffee makes me gag! I had iced coffee 2 days in a row! @echo-charlietango High Five!!! Interesting about the breast pain! I had no idea! *the more you know**** @lexidawg Are you going to Boston for fun? I've never been, but it's on my short list!
@texas_t We are! We are going to see the musical adaption of Alanis Morrisette's Jagged Little Pill playing in Boston and then just going to have out for the weekend.
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)? Very tired. Nausea hits randomly
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)? I am pretty anxious making it through this week. We found our previous loss at 9w5d
4. Any appointment updates? I do not have an appt until June 18th.
5. What's
been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary
posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): Finally having a weekend off coming up. The last 2 weekends we have had company and it is just exhausting. Plus, I don't get to have drinks with everyone! haha
6. GTKY: any fun plans this summer? We live in Florida so we will probably try and head to Orlando for some mini-vacas. Other than that, beach and pool!
10w5d - still a week out from our first loss milestone
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)?
The nausea got SO much worse yesterday. Maybe because I changed up my breakfast from my usual crustless quiche (couldn’t bring myself to make it over the weekend and eating it every morning had been a struggle the last couple of weeks). Tried just having a full cup of plain Greek yogurt and blueberries yesterday and it appears not to have cut it. Got a breakfast burrito this morning and that seems to have worked better... And tired - I took a 4 hour nap on Monday after having slept a full night Sunday.
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)?
Trying not to think about it? Haven’t seen Baby T (T last name, but first name too if I get my way ) in a couple of weeks and hope everything’s still okay in there.
4. Any appointment updates?
Nope - next appointments aren’t till two Fridays.
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
I actually have a little work to do at work, which sort of helps pass the time, but most of it’s really mind-numbing.
6. GTKY: any fun plans this summer?
We just booked our flights and hotel for a trip to Montreal in August. It’ll be the first time visiting for both DH and me. We’re just a little concerned about leaving our fur child since she’s VERY attached to DH (she’s half Velcro-dog, er half dobie). And if I have GD as I suspect, that will mess with my vacation eating a bit

@texas_t Welcome back...I hope you had a nice vacation! Yes, and they seem to know to pounce at the exact moment you're not paying attention. While I can point to my belly and ask her what it is, and she'll reply "baby", she doesn't truly understand yet, darn it. Thank you...I'm sure all is ok, but you know PGAL brain!
@rosebud332 I hope the coffee helps your headaches!
@echo-charlietango Yeah, I'm actually kind of excited to see everyone and take DD back to where I grew up (tiny ass KS town)! And I'm with you and @Hollyyyyy on the big party thing. I mean, I don't have to drink to have a good time, but it just seems that drunk people are sooooo much more annoying when you're sober.
@lexidawg Good luck at your appointment tomorrow! I so understand the anxiety...big hugs to you. And a musical adaptation of Jagged Little Pill?! YES, PLEASE! You'll have to let us know if it's as amazing as it sounds.
Congratulations to everyone who has received positive test results! Good luck tomorrow @lexidawg
1. How far along are you? Any milestones? 9 weeks 2 days, so way past my milestone! 2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)? My nausea had not been as bad the past 2 days, so I’m hoping that continues. I am still exhausted, but thankfully I’m home for the summer and can relax. 3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)? I am still anxious, even though we saw the little bean last week wiggling with a heart rate of 165. I am debating if I should get a Doppler or not. I am afraid it will make me obsessive. I cannot wait to feel movement. 4. Any appointment updates? I go back next Tuesday. 5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): I am still feeling overwhelmed about losing my job. I am scared to just take the year off and putting all of the financial burden on DH, but I think it would be best for DS and the new baby. 6. GTKY: any fun plans this summer? I just plan on enjoying the summer with my 2 year old and soaking up the time with just him. We do plan on traveling to Texas to see my brother if I can get a for sure answer about Zika.
@katy0990 I am struggling with the same thing regarding a doppler. I want one but feel like I will become obsessive about it too so it would be a bad idea.
@Hollyyyyy Oh, how exciting your grandma's first great grandkid! That's so cool. All my grandparents passed before my DD was born, so I just think it's so special that they'll meet.
@mommythlegend OOH so exciting! You're so close to knowing the gender!
@coco2787 So psyched for your positive NIPT results (and that it's a girl!) And sounds like you have some fun summer plans!
@texas_t Glad your nausea is lifting and your bleeding has slowed.
@rosebud332 Ugh, the headaches have been starting for me too! They suck. And I have no idea how to make a 1 year old (or a 2 year old haha) listen. Good luck!
@echo-charlietango Oh I miss cooking so much too! I can't wait until I can cook again. Also, do not worry at all about the breast sensitivity thing, I never had any at all with my DD and this time it has come and gone lots of times so far. (I know easier said that done, but try not to worry!)
@lexidawg I'm sorry you've been feeling so anxious! I hope your appointment tomorrow goes well and eases your mind.
@Fruitcove7 Good luck getting through this week - I know loss milestones are super hard. Hugs.
@artemis618 Sorry your nausea has gotten worse! I think mine peaked between 10 and 11 weeks, so hopefully it'll lift for you at least a little bit in a week or so!
1. How far along are you? Any milestones? 13 weeks 1 day! Holy cow, I cannot wait for the official second trimester - almost here!
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)? Still nauseous, especially at night. Last night was awful and the night before I threw up BUT I am feeling pretty good today and hoping that holds. I found chewing minty gum helps a bit so I'm chomping away like a cow, lol.
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)? I am fine mostly, except I cannot pull the trigger on announcing. It's a mix of nerves, sadness about previous losses, sadness that I know of friends right now who will see the announcement who are currently going through losses or IF and me not knowing how to announce in a way that feels right to me. Like, I want to honor the losses I've had, but still have an excited announcement that honors this LO, and I just can't find the right balance. It's driving me nuts and my husband really wants everyone to know at this point. I am trying to make myself do something about it this weekend.
4. Any appointment updates? I have an endocrinologist's appointment tomorrow, otherwise nothing until 16 weeks.
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): Other than nausea struggles, things are going pretty well. Started my new job, so I'll be busy and less able to post for a bit, but I love the new show! My husband and I have had some problems with work/life/relationship balance, especially with how bad/cranky I've been feeling, and now throwing potty training in the mix, so I'm going to have to prioritize our relationship more, which I'm bad at. I'm such a logistics person but we really need a date night.
6. GTKY: any fun plans this summer? Not anything in particular, but I am really looking forward to finally feeling better so I can enjoy the fun things that are always happening around our city. I do have a girls trip planned for the desert in August but I am not sure if I'm going to go or if it'll be too hot/I'll be too pregnant to deal with it by then. (It's by Joshua Tree and it gets CRAZY hot in August.)
@maureenmce I TOTALLY get you in wanting to honor your previous losses and be sensitive to those who are struggling with IF when you announce. The way that I think about it is that I found hope when I knew someone who has struggled with IF or loss and they announced a healthy pregnancy. I felt like maybe that could one day be me. It felt different (for better or worse) to me than someone who didn't have struggles (or at least that I know of). When we do announce publicly, I want to find a way to somehow acknowledge our struggle without taking away from our LO. All that to say.. I totally hear you.
@maureenmce have you looked at rainbow baby announcements on Etsy or Pinterest? Maybe use one of those ideas to acknowledge your loss while also celebrating your current pregnancy?

It’s so exciting how many of us are past milestones!
@maureenmce I vote it’s wayyyy to hot in August. My sister moved to Phoenix, AZ area a few years ago and I kept her company on the drive out. It was August. It was hot when we left OR. Hotter at Sacramento, hotter in Barstow, and even hotter the further we drove east. Too hot. Lol, I’ll visit her when it’s not triple digits.
1. How far along are you? Any milestones? 10 weeks! Past my milestones 2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)? Hit or miss if eating makes me feel a bit queasy, not eating makes me cross. I’m really tired. 3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)? A lot better the further I get into this pregnancy. I think working on the baby registry makes it more “real”. 4. Any appointment updates? Just the next regular one, next month 5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): my legs are still sore from Monday’s berry picking, and I did some gardening today = more sore tomorrow? Atm, my cat is freaking out because a bird is teasing her from a tree just out of cat-reach from the balcony and she’s frustrated she can’t murder it. 6. GTKY: any fun plans this summer? Epic kid vacation planned! I have my 6 yr old niece July 4th week and I’m planning a bunch of fun “city” things for the little country mouse to do. What will terrify my sister more- if we go downtown to the top of a parking garage to watch fireworks, or stand on a bridge? ETA- since I mentioned 2 sisters here, I want to clarify the one whose kid I’m watching is in OR, not AZ.
@maureenmce Glad you like the new job better . I don’t think we’ll announce anything till the kid is out. I mean, we’ll tell friends as we see them if I’m showing, but I’m hoping to make it till August before saying anything at work.
I once went out to camp in Joshua Tree in August to watch the Perseids - but we made sure we were packed up and departed by 7am to try to escape the heat!

Hello all! I’m late to the party so this is my first check-in. I’m glad this group exists! Congrats to those who have passed your milestones already!!
@lexidawg Good luck at your appointment tomorrow! I hope it eases your anxieties.
@maureenmce I totally understand the hesitation to announce, especially when friends are going through losses or IF, but I agree with @lexidawg - it was always a little comforting to hear success stories from people who struggled. Also we found these little onesies on Etsy that say “handpicked for earth by my siblings in heaven.” I completely bawled when I saw them, and of course, I bought one.
1. How far along are you? Any milestones? I am 10 weeks 5 days. Milestone-wise, I am a high school teacher and we had graduation last week. Two years ago I missed graduation because I was in the ER with our first loss. Last year I was going through another loss at graduation, although I still went because the pain was still mild at that time. (I’m not sure why my body insists on this timeline so much.) This year it was a relief and a joy to make it through graduation with nothing to worry about but my nausea. (We have also see the heartbeat this pregnancy which we never have before).
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)? Nausea is still bad, although I’m getting sick a little less. I also have a terrible metallic taste in my mouth which doesn’t help the nausea. Fatigue is big as well.
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)? Pretty good. Seeing the heartbeat helped. Still get nervous when I go to the bathroom.
4. Any appointment updates?
not this week
5. What’s been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcomed and encouraged here): too tired to do much of anything. I really want to work on our yard/garden but I can’t muster up much energy at all after work.
6. GTKY: any fun plans this summer? We are beginning to plan a trip for after summer school but we don’t know where yet. Any suggestions of places to go in July in the US with good trails nearby? (My husband is a trail runner). We live in Colorado and are looking to get out of state.
@tennandpem Welcome! I'm so sorry for your losses. We just got back from San Francisco and they have tons of trails up in the woods North of the bridge! Seattle/Tacoma is another option.
@echo-charlietango the festival was hot & busy. I chugged water, but mostly had to be on my feet all day. 1st day was ok. Ended up leaving 2hrs early the 2nd day because my head felt foggy & I was crampy. Started crying because I was getting worried. Glad it's over!
@clbness Somehow I missed you in my tags! I have the world's biggest and most rambunctious 2 year old and she is constantly jumping on me, kicking my stomach, all of the above. It drives me crazy and it does not help the PGAL anxiety, I know! My OB has reassured me that it's unlikely to do any real harm though, so hopefully that helps you too.
@katy0990 I'm glad your nausea is lifting but so sorry you're having stress due to the job loss. Did I miss any update? Have you found out any new word on the situation?
@coco2787 I have looked there and I actually found one I like, I just am having trouble thinking of what words I would write along with it in the facebook post. But yeah, they have a great rainbow baby announcement selection on etsy!
@tumbleweed-1 I'm from Sacramento so I'm usually used to the heat (if it's a dry heat, lol) BUT not when I'm pregnant, so I am a maybe at the moment. They are staying in a place with a pool and A/C but I just don't know! I think I'll wait til it's closer to the date and see how miserable is is/I feel.
@artemis618 Oh it's so cool you got to see a meteor show at Joshua Tree! It's such a magical place (except when the sun is up anytime in the summer, haha.) And I'd love to just announce the kid once he arrives, but my husband is so excited to announce soon and I want him to get to do that. I'll figure something out!
@tennandpem Welcome! I'm so sorry for your losses but I'm so glad you got to experience a graduation without a loss this year, after having experienced some rough graduations two years in a row.
@maureenmce Thank you for that reassurance! Also, I’m glad to hear you like your new show and, although busy, you’re not as stressed! I hated to hear how stressed you were with the last show.
@Hollyyyyy another +1 on not wanting to party. My sister's getting married in August and her Bachelorette is next month. I really don't want to go. Does that make me a terrible sister?I mean, I will go but I'm dreading it.
@tennandpem Welcome! 1. How far along are you? Any milestones? 9 weeks 6 days, @lexidawg I think we may be due date twins! No milestone yet, but soon... 4 more days.
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)? Still nauseous. Still tired.
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)? I'm keeping it in check but if I'm honest, its medium. I can't allow myself to get excited really...
4. Any appointment updates? Last Friday I had my first appointment with the Midwife practice. I decided to switch back to my old practice because new hospital...and they got me in for my first appointment next day. It went well but when the midwife did the ultrasound, the baby was dating a week behind. Now, I kinda got the feeling that she was inexperienced, but I did have a minor panic. Dating behind was the first sign with my previous loss. She got another midwife to come in and do it again, and sure enough she got a better view and a right-on-track measurement. So the panic was momentary. Now my next appointment with them is in four weeks! I do have a scan scheduled for three but that is so far away!
5.
What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever
(Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): I'm just tired and scattered and unmotivated. I have so much to do work-wise and so little desire. I just don't feel like myself and I hate it.
@katy0990 I asked the midwife aboutZika, she seemed to think that the Texas case(s) (maybe it was just one?) had been pretty minimal and not so recent but you should investigate further. Also, so sorry to hear about the job!
I do think that I can't go to Mexico, which is such a bummer and my real rant. There haven't been a ton of cases near Puerto Vallarta but enough to freak me out...I could cover myself with Deet but I'd spend the whole trip worrying. We had an awesome airbnb rented in Sayulita with my sister and her kids...and my DD has been taking swimming lessons in anticipation.I'm trying to decide whether to have DH go with her and I stay home, or just try to cancel the whole thing -- which is tricky because the cancellation policy is strict. If I can't get the money back then DH should just go, right?
But another part of me that fears a loss doesn't want to cancel anything just in case something happens and then I'm grieving a loss and also don't have a beach to look forward to.PGAL brain is working overtime over here.
@fernsy Thank you for the feedback! That is good to know.
@texas_t We are hoping to visit my brother in Austin and then spend some time in Galveston. However, my doctor wanted me to look up Zika on the CDC website before booking. When I did, I noticed that the whole state of Texas is outlined in purple. So, I feel kind of confused. I really want to go, But I also do not want to take any risks. @maureenmce I am glad your job is going well! That has to be a huge relief! I really do not have an update on my situation. There is a lot of drama going on in the district. They fired all administrators at both schools. Apparently, our school secretary was having an affair with a board member and they decided to get the principal fired. Now, all of my former coworkers are terrified that they will all lose their jobs. At this point, I am thinking that I will sub in the district that we live in 2 to 3 days a week. That way I am not logged in to having to go back to work after eight weeks since I will not qualify for FMLA if I take a full-time position. Also, Going along with what you shared in your post, I am concerned about taking on a new job and having to do all of the prep work to be out while trying to juggle a very active two-year-old, a newborn, and our marriage, especially if I struggle with PPA again.
@katy0990 Ugh, I am SO sorry you're having to deal with all of this work craziness and stress! I really hope things resolve in the best way possible. Seems like the subbing plan you have is the best move in a tough situation. I dealt with PPA (and PPD) as well and I am super nervous about it returning with a toddler to care for too! I really hope we don't have to deal with it this time around. At least my endocrinologist today reminded me that I will be very aware of the signs and will know when something is wrong much quicker, and you will too. Hugs to you!
Re: PGAL check-in w/o 5/30
Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
We announced to my Grandma when we were in CA over the long weekend.
Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
Not too much.
Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
Going back to work my old job today since I'm done with school and can't start applying for jobs until I pass the board exams.

*Loss of Twin 5/2018*
Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
Just getting back into the swing of things at work after being gone all last week. DD was an absolute hoot last night and her antics actually made me forget how crappy I felt...even though I had to reprimand her 3 times for saying "oh, shit!"
*Rainbow 8/2015*
*Expected Rainbows 12/2018*
*Loss of Twin 5/2018*
Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
I’m having an impatient day with my one year old and I yelled and she got upset so now I feel bad.
Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
Dear Diary, I miss my appetite and desire to cook.
Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
Im so envious of all of you who are 12 and 13 weeks along. I feel like I am SO BEHIND and time is just standing still!
6. GTKY: any fun plans this summer?
We are going to Boston for the weekend this coming weekend, trying to plan a vacation for the first week in August but having trouble deciding where and a family reunion in Virginia in late August.
@echo-charlietango High Five!!! Interesting about the breast pain! I had no idea! *the more you know****
@lexidawg Are you going to Boston for fun? I've never been, but it's on my short list!

2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms)?
Very tired. Nausea hits randomly
3. How are you feeling (anxiety wise)?
I am pretty anxious making it through this week. We found our previous loss at 9w5d
4. Any appointment updates?
I do not have an appt until June 18th.
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
Finally having a weekend off coming up.

Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
I am still feeling overwhelmed about losing my job.

Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
Other than nausea struggles, things are going pretty well.
Married: 4/5/13

@maureenmce I vote it’s wayyyy to hot in August. My sister moved to Phoenix, AZ area a few years ago and I kept her company on the drive out. It was August. It was hot when we left OR. Hotter at Sacramento, hotter in Barstow, and even hotter the further we drove east. Too hot. Lol, I’ll visit her when it’s not triple digits.
1. How far along are you? Any milestones?
10 weeks! Past my milestones
Just the next regular one, next month
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here):
my legs are still sore from Monday’s berry picking, and I did some gardening today = more sore tomorrow?
I once went out to camp in Joshua Tree in August to watch the Perseids - but we made sure we were packed up and departed by 7am to try to escape the heat!

Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcomed and encouraged here):
too tired to do much of anything.

@echo-charlietango the festival was hot & busy. I chugged water, but mostly had to be on my feet all day. 1st day was ok. Ended up leaving 2hrs early the 2nd day because my head felt foggy & I was crampy. Started crying because I was getting worried. Glad it's over!
@coco2787 and @mommythlegend congrats on the good results and congrats on the girls!
@tennandpem Welcome!
Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): I'm just tired and scattered and unmotivated. I have so much to do work-wise and so little desire. I just don't feel like myself and I hate it.
@katy0990 I asked the midwife about Zika, she seemed to think that the Texas case(s) (maybe it was just one?) had been pretty minimal and not so recent but you should investigate further. Also, so sorry to hear about the job!
I do think that I can't go to Mexico, which is such a bummer and my real rant. There haven't been a ton of cases near Puerto Vallarta but enough to freak me out...I could cover myself with Deet but I'd spend the whole trip worrying. We had an awesome airbnb rented in Sayulita with my sister and her kids...and my DD has been taking swimming lessons in anticipation. I'm trying to decide whether to have DH go with her and I stay home, or just try to cancel the whole thing -- which is tricky because the cancellation policy is strict. If I can't get the money back then DH should just go, right?
But another part of me that fears a loss doesn't want to cancel anything just in case something happens and then I'm grieving a loss and also don't have a beach to look forward to. PGAL brain is working overtime over here.
6. GTKY: any fun plans this summer?
