Stupid insomnia!!! I can't get comfortable and I can't sleep and I'm grumpy about it, so here I am posting to the Bump in the middle of the night. Also every time I think I'm gonna going to fall asleep I get hungry! I can not stop eating.

Monday moan for me too...and insomnia for me too hah. The last 3 nights I keep tossing and turning and going in and out of light sleep. What gives! Saturday I expected it since my hips were really sore, like couldn't walk by the end of the day sore, but I had no reason last night! I think my schedule is pretty busy today but instead of getting in the shower I'm bumping. You know, like the only 20 minutes of quiet and coffee I get for the whole day. 

I hope I have some miracles later today.

Monday moan agreement to not sleeping well. Weird dreams too, which I hate. When I woke up from my last one I remember frantically searching an airport for my Uber ride with police asking me questions about my moms wallet/bags and them thinking I stole them because they were hers. So weird.

Also have an uptick in insomnia but extra Tylenol PM helped a lot!

Monday miracle over here because DH let me sleep as much as possible and left a snack by my nightstand ❤️ He has really been incredibly helpful. Even more so than usual.

@BostonBaby1 snacks on the nightstand??? That's award winning husband material right there! Even if mine tried that I'm sure the dogs would find a way to eat it, they are jerks

Moan is insomnia and rib pain. Miracle is even though I felt sick, I was able to fight it... atleast for right now. I've only got sick twice after having coffee. Normally, it's a race against time to grab some coffee before I get sick. Coffee does seem to help with the sickness most of the time.

My moan is that DS was sick all weekend,so I wasn’t able to get more than 2-3 consecutive hours of sleep since Thursday night. Last night he finally seemed to be feeling and sleeping a little better, but DH was snoring like a chainsaw. I even got up and moved to the guest room and he was still keeping me awake!    Days like this I really wish I liked coffee

Still not off to a great start, apparently my stomach is smaller than I thought and I ate too much cereal before leaving for work so I was really uncomfortable on my drive to work. DS cried and clung to me at daycare drop off which is unusual for him, made me sad. Also, had some baby part in my bladder for 30 of my 60 minute drive to work this morning. It was such a relief to finally pee when I got to the hospital!

Monday moan: I have a bad attitude right now.  I am ridiculously emotional and have about zero f*cks to give today. I also have been having horrendous back pain that comes and goes and I am trying to decide if I want to email the doctor to rule out a UTI.  I am sure it most likely isn't a UTI as I only have symptoms of it randomly.  I went to try to find a pair of maternity capris for work and could not find a thing.  So, I ordered like $300.00 worth of clothes online in various sizes to try to find something I like. Pants are already hard enough for me to buy not being pregnant, I have large thighs and a skinny waist.... I can return everything in store so it will just feel like Christmas for awhile. 

Monday Miracle: I wore leggings today with a very long shirt and they feel great!   I realize from my comments above I need to flip my attitude, so at least I can recognize that???

Monday Miracle: I woke up feeling good and took an amazing shower and walked around the very clean apartment congratulating myself on cleaning up so well after we had people over last night. And, got out the door on time!

Monday Moan: I also couldn’t sleep last night. I got 4 or 5 hours total but was waking up so much. So, my whole Monday miracle is going to come crashing down around me at 2pm today when I will get extremely tired and grumpy.

+1 team moan: My drive into work this morning was the definition of Monday. Plus DS was a mess, although that may be the fact that I think his first canine is going to break through soon.

I'll go for Miracle number 6-

My husband has been getting my son up and ready for school, so even though I'm tired, I got to wake up to the sound of my already fed and dressed toddler laughing hysterically while he played with his daddy. That's a pretty darn good way to start the day!

Moan: DH is out of town and my kid who usually sleeps through the night woke up screaming at midnight, and even a diaper change/sippy cup didn’t help. I rocked her back to sleep only to have her wake up again when I put her back in the crib. I woke up at 5am with pregnancy pains and having to go pee (which is happening a lot more, LO must have switched positions), fell back asleep only to have the cat wake me up an hour later. I still haven’t showered and workers will be here in 30 minutes plus I still have to work a full day.

Miracle: since DH is out of town I got all the cuddles to myself today. Also after over a month I finally have my next OB appt!

Great chiropractic appointment and I just booked a pedicure. So I guess I’m either barely working today or am going to be insanely busy this afternoon.

Miracle: I was pulled over this morning, for not using my blinker to change lanes, but didn’t get a ticket or even a warning.

Miracle 2: had a blowout this morning, not Brazilian that will be in a few weeks, but my hair looks fabulous and that scalp massage was fantastic.

moan: I came shopping for comfortable shoes and they have nothing in my size. My pregnant self will be on my feet for 14+ hours Wednesday and need dress shoes that are comfortable. I will be miserable and exhausted Wednesday night.

I'm still taking unisom for vomiting so insomnia is like the only thing I don't have! Sorry you guys are dealing with so much insomnia.

Monday Miracle: Fetal echo all looked good! So relieved. My placenta is still low which is annoying but at least baby looks good! It's also a relief that I'm finally done with all the IVF-related stuff and it's like I can have a regular person pregnancy now!

Ok, so I think my Monday miracle is just the fact that I'm going to make it until bedtime in one piece. I'll take it as an accomplishment for the day.

Miracle: baby is measuring right on track, my OB said my weight gain is fine, and she is happy to sign off on me being off work 4 weeks before my due date which means no sitting in an office for most of August! I see lots of swim dates in mine and DD’s future! Woo hoo!

I finally found one! My sisinlaw passed along her maternity clothes just in time for our camping/beach trip this weekend. I washed and sorted them and am so excited to have proper fitting clothes to wear in public!

Moan: I have not really had a single pregnancy craving. I'm pretty sad about this. Also, I had this AWESOME hearty laugh last time and was hoping it'd come back, but no such luck so far. 

Miracle: I went back to the chiropractor and got to lay flat on my stomach for a few minutes!

Hold on, I have a legitimate wtf moan!! An African American female co-worker of mine (we're both attorneys for the company in a male dominated industry) emailed today asking if I wanted to hand a new project off to my male counterpart because she "didn't know how much longer I'd be in the office." A- none of your business, I have a leave plan in place with my boss and B- last person in the world I'd have expected that email from! I don't need to stick a fork in my career more than one kid already has, but thanks for the support?? Was this some disguised power play!?

@Patience7150 LAME! That's a serious WTF moment. I also work in a male dominated industry, my main "ugh" has been dudes telling me "you can't xyz while pregnant" you know what I can do? Still be your fucking boss and give you shitty assignments for being so lame. I haven't done that yet, but don't think it hasn't crossed my mind! 

Miracle: I got to leave work an hour early and when I got home, the husband was gone with the puppy and I got to take a NAP, all by myself, with nobody here to say the TV is too loud, or trying to get me to play ball. IT. WAS. GLORIOUS.

Miracle: DH and I worked on cleaning last night, he took the garage and holy smokes it looks awesome!!!!! I did a mediocre job on the kitchen and some laundry.

@Redpuma119 when I read @Patience7150 message back to me I thought, why would I have said something about a blowout. I typed it as two words but auto correct made it 1 word. Either way a blowout of the tire proportion or the poop variety would most definitely have been a moan not a miracle. Lol. 

ETA: a blow out of the hair variety now that is a miracle!

So I had what I thought was going to be a Tuesday moan turn into a miracle: I had an appointment scheduled for a 10 year old girl this morning, and when mom showed up, she had 6 kids in tow, 6! I thought it was going to be a disaster from the get go. I was SO pleasantly surprised by how well behaved her kids were in our too small room for 8 people including a toddler. They were polite, they were well educated, kids were involved in the conversation. It was fantastic. Makes me so appreciate what I do on a daily basis.

Well let's just follow that up with an actual moan: one of the volunteers who I regularly see asked me when I'm due and told me that I look bigger than how far along I really am. I tried to just nod my head and say, "yup, can't help it". But he's the first person bold enough to say it out loud. Boo.

Tuesday miracle: 
I found another bag of bras in random sizes in my closet and 3 fit! Yay no need to bra shop just yet. Phew. Also, the post partum bathing suit I wore after dd was born fits well enough to get away with for now. We’re camping at the beach over memorial, so I’ve been frantic trying to dress the giant bump & boobs properly for public viewing. 

Tuesday Moan: 
DD threw a tantrum of epic proportions. My method once we’ve established the issue and she just has to bawl is to have her play in her room “until her happy voice comes back”. Took well over half an hour... *eyeroll*

Also, she refused to play barbies (typically the cure-all) because “I don’t want them to have my sad voice”.... what am I even supposed to do with that??

Monday miracles a few days late. 1- after almost 14 days of dogs, weather, toddler, husband issues-I got to sleep through the night (minus peeing) and get up alone, hung out for an hour before waking up my son for quick breakfast before speech therapy. 2-I was on my way to an ICAN (group for c section moms) meeting, and MIGHT have been speeding because I was having fun in my fun car alone, and got pulled over doing 22 over (oops!) and no ticket.

@pourmeamocktail wow, no ticket for 22 over?? That is a miracle! I’m glad you finally got some sleep too.

@nackie Total miracle, but had he clocked me 100 ft earlier, it would have been only 12 over, I missed slowing down at a speed change. Also, rural road with no houses or cars-I don't speed around children/people. The sleep was so good!

Miracle!!!! I was procrastinating getting gas for the car and forgot about it and then didn't have time to get it before DDs dentist appointment. Then I was going to get gas and grocery shop and nearly forgot to get gas (but there was a station that shared a parking lot ) and I literally coasted up to the pump, guys I actually ran out of gas 30 feet away from the pump and luckily rolled far enough.

Work miracle: this one is pretty special! I have been asked to serve on the search committee to hire a new HR person. HR does not yet know that I'm pregnant. This new person will be the one in charge of maternity leave and the one that I will eventually have to tell that I'm pregnant! And I get to help pick who it is! Oh, this feel like a little more power than I deserve and like it will be a little more fun than it should be! Now, can I successfully keep hiding my bump? That's a good question. Walking into meetings with a cardigan on and a notebook in front of me seems to be working.
