Realizing as I read this how lucky I am that my dog only poops on the woods. She has never liked to go in the grassy part of the yard and no matter where we are she goes a couple steps in the woods or to a fence line if there are no woods.
@arcticseal-2 yay!! Happy that you now have a vehicle large enough for all of you.
Confession: those weeks-to-months charts make no sense to me. The day you turn 30 years old you’re in your 31st year of life, but you still say you’re 30, not 31! Those charts basically go up to 10 months, not nine, which is so misleading. Anyone talking about pregnancy in months is likely thinking you give birth at 9 months, not 10.
Agree 100%.
I like the calendar method. I ovulated (and conceived around) dec 17 and am due sept 7; that’s actually less than 9 months. LMP was dec 1, which equals 9 months and 1 week if we count the time I was very much not pregnant. On June 7, I’ll be six months pregnant at 26w5d.
If you can’t give up the charts, the most accurate interpretation would be to consider yourself “X months pregnant” at the end of the time span (which is how we always measure passing time as pointed out above)
Yay @arcticseal-2! Funny, because I came here to gauge interest in making a dedicated “vehicles for growing families” thread. DH and I have been vehicle shopping recently and it’s not going well at all. But, I didn’t want it to turn into a selfish one off thread! Anyone else going through this now or soon?
Lol @BusinessWife glad I could bring you some early morning giggles.
I love Shirley Temple and seeing this gif made my day better already.
AFM I got up at 3:30 yesterday morning, had to be at one of my clinics at 5:00 was on my feet all morning for an open house the. I had two big client report presentations. Told my last and most difficult client that I am pregnant. They were happy for me, but I can just hear them a year from now saying that things slowed down or were on hold while I was out. I think we have it covered so that won’t happen, but some things will probably just naturally slow down. Going to try not to worry about. Finally got home at 11pm last night making for an 18 hour work day. I’m struggling to get out of bed this morning and when I do I know I have a million emails to respond to and back to back meetings from 8:30 to 4:00. Boo! I feel like it should be Friday...womp womp womp it’s only Thursday.
@Wishilivedinflorida I'm all for that, we have to car shop this fall. We can go a couple of weeks with 2 kids in our car, but not many, because DH has to have his knees in the dash to get into our car with two rear facing seats...facepalm.

@Wishilivedinflorida I'd be down for a thread like that. We're planning on me getting a new (to us) SUV late winter/early spring. I'm also wanting to get my real estate license soon and in this area, real estate agents are expected to have nicer cars so now I'm trying to balance the idea of a family friendly SUV with one that will also look nice as I pull up to fancy neighborhoods.

Being due in September makes this super easy. Since September is the 9th month of the year whatever # month it is = how many months we are pregnant. May is the 5th month so we'll each be 5 months pregnant when we hit our specific number date in this month.

So I'm not trying to brag, but today is my Friday!! I'm so excited for a 4 day weekend. It'll be filled with painting and cleaning, and a cook out too. This is the first and maybe last long weekend I'm planning for right now before baby girl is here since I'm trying to save up my PTO.

I'm embarrassed that I find this so mind blowing, haha. It makes so much sense now!
I just keep track of the weeks and guestimate/tell people what they want to hear about the months. If it's this hard for us to figure out exactly what month we are in, I'm sure someone who is not pregnant is going to do the math. And, eeeeekkkkkk! I'm 24 weeks tomorrow!
+ 1 to dog poop scooper! We have a wireless fence system for our lab, before we trained him on it he pooped in the woods/edges of the property, then his range got shortened... so he took to pooping in the flower beds... which keeps it off the lawns I guess? But this year I’ve been dedicated to keeping it picked up and retraining him where is an acceptable location fornsuch business. He is not getting it, and I swear spite poops when he isn’t getting enough attention.

We pick up after our dog each time he goes. DNW to have to go out and search my yard for days old shit to scoop. A few of my neighbors wait and scoop at once and it just seems like so much extra work.

Do you go out with your dog each time? Our little old lady has her own dog door so I don't know when she goes. I think I would pick up each time if I was out there with her when she went though. Unless it was her nighttime poo. I'd let that ride.

Usually. We don't have a fence so while we do let him outside by himself sometimes it's not that often and not for that long. He also generally won't poop if we just let him out. He always goes on one of our walks or while we're out throwing his frisbee. So true - much easier to clean up every time when I'm already out there with him.

House work is literally never completely done. Ugh. H and I were off today and we painted several walls of our living room and dining room. Monday we will do the second coat on the trim, tackle our giant living room window, and hopefully paint the hallway and wall lining the stairs. So.much.work. We're primarily blaming this on having people over for DS's birthday but it really just needed to be done.

@klj0228 I am just thinking, "I dunno, does a dog poop in the woods???" Lol and I can't stop internally giggling. It's too early still...
