false positive due to blood in urine?

Has anyone heard of - or had experience with - a false positive at-home pregnant test due to trace amounts of blood on test?

I have been spotting brown blood for approx 5-7 days.. kept thinking period was coming but it’s never turned into flow 

i just took a pregnancy test and it came up positive

I am NOT asking if I’m pregnancy

But I read online that if there’s blood in the urine it can cause a false positive.. would some menstrual blood cause that?

ill follow up with my doctor but it’s 5am so all I have are my thoughts and the internet now.

    OP I would suggest calling/visting your doctor and they can run a blood test to confirm if you got a false positive.
