We are trying to adopt our niece and it's just been a s$&% show. Starred the process in Sept 2016 and still dragging it out. Her mom is fighting us but can't get her a%& in line enough to parent her properly. I don't know if all the things neice tells my mom and gram (who she often confides in) are true. I don't know if I should tell her lawyer about them or not. I don't feel like her lawyer is on our side  (feel like she sides with the mom more even though she's not supposed to). She visited last night and when she was leaving she asked if mom had shown up for any of the week night visits. I told her no because she hasn't and she acted all dissapointed. I'm not dissapointed. I'm glad. It shows she can't step up. If she's not on mom's side why is she dissapointed that she hasn't followed through?

GTKY: What would your dream house look like? Hmmm. Not sure really sure, but it wouldn't be "generic". One of my favorite parts of the house we live in now are the gables and how they were designed. I can't explain it, but my grandfather built the house for his friends and the wife wanted something that reminded her of a church. So they kind of extend and just look neat.

R/R: Rant: I think I had another cyst this month. It definitely makes HIO nearly impossible. My DH couldn't go through with it because he knew I was in pain. Rave: It's wedding anniversary month and my birthday month!

R/R: There is this lady that wants me to be her nanny but doesn't agree with me on pay. She basically told me that other people she knows only pay their sitters 3 dollars an hour, which seems a little ludicrous. Maybe I'm overreacting though because I'm pms-ing.

I've always dreamed of having a quaint old farm house on a piece of land, away from all the hustle of the world. Maybe a light yellow with a white porch railing.

@babydream0916 $3/hr? that is crazy. I don't think that you're overreacting.  I would be insulted if someone offered me that. Is there a minimum wage where you live?
@meladams10 have you talked with your doc about the possible cysts? I had one rupture a few months ago and it was a horrible experience (to say the least).

R/R: just staying busy. trying to decide if I want to go to the gym tonight or go home after work and just relax/read. We had a busy weekend and I don't feel like I got to "re-charge" like I normally do.

GTKY: What would your dream house look like? more counter space in the kitchen! and a lot of storage. My house now doesn't have any hall/linen closets and I wish it did.

@Avrilmai The minimum wage where I live is $7.25, but I live in the oilfield. The fast food place pays $14 an hour.

I definitely feel you on wanting more storage space. I dream of being able to organize properly.

R/R: I’ve been in a horrible mood the past few days. I’m doubtful that this will ever work. I’m second guessing going to an RE. Maybe we should just get the HSG with an OB. Everything else has come back normal at this point. I’m frustrated that MH seems to think we don’t need testing. He keeps bringing up that it took him mom 5 years to have her first. That’s great but I’m not your f-ing mom! I understand that we’re young and we have a lot of time but still! I’m so ready to give up. Every cycle is such a rollercoaster. I’m over it.

CS/Q: nope

GTKY: What would your dream house look like? Something with a big kitchen and an island. Big yard, lots of mature trees. Lots of windows with a great view. A big family room to watch movies and play games.

 

@prpl11butterfly I’m so sorry you’re having a hard time with the adoption. That’s so wonderful that you guys are doing that though. I’m surprised her lawyer is leaning one way more than another… and showing that emotion to you guys. Can you change lawyers?

@meladams10 Maybe your late O is a good thing??? Is this the 2nd cycle after the HSG? I can’t remember.

@LJMoon6 I'm so sorry that you are dealing with those frustrations. You're right, you're not your mom-in-law. Every body is different, and with the fertility help that is out there now, why wait five years? Maybe your DH is just scared and that's why he's putting it off. I don't think men can truly understand what it's like to restart every month feeling so discouraged and hopeless. They truly don't get that it is such an all consuming process for us and our minds.

@prpl11butterfly Thinking of you and your family! I know that has to be so hard. It sounds like you're doing the right thing.. keep fighting. SN: I had a BBT dip too, on day 5, weird. 
@Stargazer1lily I just love log cabins! They're so pretty, especially in the winter time. Maybe I've watched too many Hallmark Christmas movies... LOL. 
@babydream0916 Sounds like you don't need to nanny for that family. $3 an hour?! That's ridiculous.

@Avrilmai I actually had an ultrasound and they saw that I had a ruptured cyst last month, but she said it was not a big deal and was fine. and you're right, they hurt like a B! Had the same thing this cycle as well, but not as intense.. Hopefully this is not a reoccurring thing! 
@LJMoon6 Sorry for your BFN. Maybe it's still too early. I'm with you though, this TTC thing is just mentally and emotionally exhausting. I hate when people say oh it took me this long. Well, good for you! BYE! Hang in there.. we will get our BFPs at some point. This is my first cycle after my HSG, so I was disappointed to not be able to get our timing perfect due to travel. But, keeping my fingers crossed none the less!

@LJMoon6 we could try to get another lawyer but at this point, I really just want the process to end.  I'm waiting for my lawyer to call and advise. We have grounds to push for a trial now because she hasn't shown up for those weekday visits (4wks and today will mark 5). And, sorry about the bfn. I don't think you should wait either. No sense suffering to find out down the road it was something super easy to correct.

@prpl11butterfly I agree with you on the lawyer.  That sounds incredibly frustrating.  I hope you are able to get everything taken care of quickly and smoothly.

@babydream0916 uh no, not over-reacting.  That's ludicrous that someone would expect someone to work for that never mind take care of their precious children for that.

@babydream0916 Thanks for the support! I think his apprehension stems more from money. Like, I get it. Everything is likely fine and we could waste nearly $1000 just for testing to have it come back “unexplained.” But yet he goes and drops money on bike parts like it’s no big deal! Like dude, that’s your hobby. Not mine. Seriously, where are your priorities?! Ugh! He really just doesn’t get how emotionally drained I am.

@meladams10 Ugh, I know I hate being so negative. But it’s how I’m feeling about TTC at the moment. It is great to hear stories about people finally getting their BFP, it gives me hope. But at the same time they are not me. It is not 30 years ago. We have a way better understanding of what’s going on with our bodies. FX for you this cycle. I think your timing looks really good!

@prpl11butterfly Thanks for the support. I agree that if it were something easy to fix then we would have waited for nothing. But I know I also have a huge fear of the worst. Ugh. Sorry about the lawyer business. I definitely get just wanting the process to be over. Hopefully it all goes in your favor. I can’t imagine how hard this is for your poor niece!

@quidditchcapn1120 AH! I'm excited to get through the series! So far The Goblet of Fire has been my favorite! The Order of the Phoenix has been a little bit boring to me.

@prpl11butterfly I have a sister that is a dumpster fire of a human, my parents had to take custody of her children a few years back. Sorry you're going through that process - I know how much it sucks. But on behalf of the universe, thank you for stepping up and taking it on.
@LJMoon6 Don't second guess yourself. Do all the testing you can get your hands on, if anything just for piece of mind. If it all looks great, that's fantastic and keep bumpin uglies! But if there's something that needs to be addressed, better to know upfront.

Testing: Trying to hold off until Friday when AF would generally rear her nasty head, but I've already decided if she doesn't show by this afternoon I'm buying a test for the morning. I'm so weak!

R/R: Just that I came back to life from vacation to SNOW in april, and my nose has already started peeling. Sigh

CS/Q: None today!

GTKY: What would your dream house look like? A new house, in the middle of the woods, with a loong driveway and giant kitchen
