WTO Thurs 03/29

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Thanks for keeping this a safe place for us all to engage!**

Re: WTO Thurs 03/29

  • @emmasemm I love that you started this already. Early bird like me!

    Month/Cycle: 4/2

    CD: 21

    WAYDTGKU: OPK, BBT,CM, BD

R/R: Rant: STILL getting EWCM (had more and more yesterday, every time I wiped) and still super negative OPKS. Not even almost positive. Of course last time it went to really negative to blazing positive, but still. It doesn't feel like ovulation is coming anytime soon. RAVE: I get to see my mom this weekend!

    CS/Q: None

GTKY: What is your dream car and why? I really want a Honda S2000! They are so cute. I've wanted one for YEARS, since I saw it in a car magazine a long while ago. I also wouldn't mine a Tesla, the sporty one.

WAYDTGKU: Waiting on test results from 2nd RE

R/R: Interrupted day today as DH is in and out of the house so difficult for me to concentrate on my thesis. Also I got a message from the new RE that they have all our results back but that the RE needs to review them and has not released them for us to have. So I’m just waiting for feedback if we can already book an appointment with him to go over them, since it seems like there is something to discuss. No chance until after Easter now though. So I’m going to be wondering what it is they’ve found and if it’s something we can easily address.

CS/Q: Nope. Temps still nice and low this cycle.

GTKY: What is your dream car and why? I would go with a black range rover sport. Black because they show the dirt the least! I like the feeling of being a bit higher, but they still have pretty good performance. They also have plenty of space in them and will fit in my garage (and still have room for a second normal sized car next to it). I would take it with all the modern bells and whistles. And including sun roof and tow bar of course (got to be able to tow a horse trailer!).

R/R: my rant/rave is related. I love my job and I honestly have the best students ever. I'm lucky bc I teach so many hs sciences that I have many of the same students multiple years. The topic I'm teaching right now led to so many student questions and it makes me so happy when kids get interested/curious. However, the county/state has the WORST bonus/raise system ever and it is being distributed tomorrow and it is such a slap to the face. I have earned the highest eval rating every.single.year and my students test very well but my bonus depends on a test I took in hs over 10 years ago?! The worst part is if I was in another county my scores would qualify, it's just my county that does wonky interpretations of the state legislation. It makes me so mad and I hate that I cry when I'm mad! Gah!

  • @rocketmom88 ok that seems like the strangest way to distribute raises and bonuses ever... what motivation is there for anyone to work hard or improve? I’ve studied quite a bit about performance measurement and reward systems, and have to say that is a weird one.

@rocketmom88 That seriously sounds like the most bs way distribute bonuses. But what I really came to say is that I had an Altima too for a very long time and she was a rockstar. That car made it through a lot. My new car is also a Nissan because I loved that Altima sooo much.

  • @emmasemm Super frustrating to have to wait so long. I'm glad you are getting a phone call with the doctor at least. Don't hesitate to be the squeaky wheel and keep calling them. It tends to be effective!

@AdorkablePixie Silly pee sticks. Fx you catch the LH surge soon! Enjoy visiting with your mom! Also, the Honda S2000 is indeed very cute.

@rocketmom88 That is really unjust - I'm sorry you have to deal with it year after year. Your students are very fortunate to have you. I loved my HS biology teacher so at least you know you're making a difference in many lives. It's really disappointing that you aren't getting the financial recognition you deserve. I also cry when I'm mad... silly body/reactions!

At least tomorrow I took the day off so it's like Friday today for me!

    CS/Q: Not yet

GTKY: What is your dream car and why? Acura MDX all the way. To me it's just the best looking SUV out there and has all the space for our pup and stuff for camping, etc. Though it almost got bumped by the new Ford Excursion. It finally got a facelift and it looks really, really good! I just googled it and actually, the MDX does get bumped for a loaded new Excursion!! Off to daydream about it a bit more now...

  • @emmasemm Oh, awesome!! I've been to the Frankfurt airport but that's it. I'd love to take a trip to Germany and actually get to experience it.

That's great your RE is going to have a call with you to discuss the results!

@rocketmom88 That is such a stupid way to determine raises!! That's not even fair. You shouldn't be being judged for a test you took TEN YEARS AGO!!! I cry when I get angry too. It sucks.

@LemonofBluebell Yay for today being your Friday! I debated taking Friday off at well, but I decided to take Monday off instead since my MIL wanted to do something.

  • @AdorkablePixie Sorry for the negative OPK, but I hope you have fun with your mom this weekend!

@emmasemm Thanks for starting today! Fx for your RE results and that YH spends his day outside :) Eat all the chocolate and relax this weekend! I know, easier said than done  :p I agree with @AdorkablePixie that it is a little cruel of them to let you know the results are in when the RE hasn't reviewed them yet. I feel like they must get desensitized from seeing all the couples coming through.

@rocketmom88 I used to be a teacher in Canada and that does seem messed up to me. We get raises based on the number of years and various educational advancements (ex. Masters, etc.). I'm sorry it is so crap in your state. It is nice to see the kids being so curious though :)

@LemonofBluebell Hey Ravenclaw from Hufflepuff!! My friend knit me a seriously long blue and gray scarf because I was obsessed with Ravenclaw, but I have come to realize that I am much more Hufflepuff material. It does seem to depend on my circumstance since I can be seriously vengeful and sneaky. Hope your optional-non optional event goes quickly. It is my Friday too and I know how you feel!

@Stargazer1lily So happy for the positive OPK!! Fx the good signs continue!

R/R: rant - so tired of headaches

rave - my dog is doing well; we ended up taking him to the emergency vet at 4:30am yesterday because he started vomiting blood because the hydrogen peroxide didn't work to induce him earlier in the evening so it just sat in his tummy. Vet gave him anti-nausea meds and subcutaneous fluids to keep him hydrated and flush his kidneys just to be safe. (he'd eaten a raisin Tuesday evening and raisins can cause kidney failure in some dogs). They checked his bloodwork and we have to bring him to our regular vet today and tomorrow to check his kidney levels again to make sure they're good, but as long as they're not elevated by tomorrow he should be in the clear.

Also rave - I've felt like it was Friday every day this week since Tuesday, but today really is my Friday since I'm off tomorrow!

CS/Q: nothing to see yet this cycle

GTKY: What is your dream car and why? I'm not really into cars overall, so I'd go with anything that drives well, has 4WD/AWD and is a sedan, because I don't like being up high when driving.

@emmasemm ugh, why would they bother telling you they have it if they won't release it yet? I feel like it'd be better for them to just wait until they actually review everything, then contact you rather than making you wait.

@rocketmom88 that really stinks, I'm sorry! That's the most ridiculous way of determining raises; aren't raises supposed to be based on your actual job performance? Basing them off a high school test leaves no motivation for people to improve, so you'd think that would backfire on them!

@LemonofBluebell last cycle was my first cycle off The Pill in about 7 years, and it was the same for me lol. I got way too used to super light periods and cramps, the past few days were like "BAM! Welcome to reality!"

  • @fantasyflyte I am so glad that your pup is doing better! Fx for the next vet visit. Enjoy your long weekend!

  • @Stargazer1lily The spotting likely means you Od today! Woohoo.

@meri-mac And Dean Winchester. LOL I second that.

@fantasyflyte I am glad your dog is okay! It's always scary when they get into something they shouldn't or they are sick and we don't know what's wrong.

  • @fantasyflyte, I am sorry about your dog. Hope he feels better soon.  I hope it is not necessary, but I use salt to induce vomiting, it has worked great every time.

@emmasemm , I just finished off some gin. Unfortunately, I guess my hormones are causing me to feel no effect from the alcohol.... I may have to try again later.
