My DH and I are TTCing, but I have not had a period for 13 Months. I stopped breastfeeding DD 1 month ago and we have been BDing every other day since. I have been going crazy taking pregnancy tests (all BFNs) and finally bought pre-seed and an ovulation kit. My first 3 days using it I got negatives, but on Sunday I began period-like cramps and VERY little bit of spotting. Yestersday afternoon I got a strong positive OPK and so we BDd and used the pre-seed. Today I am still getting painful cramps and this evening got another strong positive OPK. Are these cramps normal? Could I be getting my period back and be ovulating at the same time? Could it be pregnancy? Is something wrong? Trying not to overanalyze and failing...advice/similar experiences would be so appreciated!

*dirty lurker* As stated in a previous thread. Qfp. Op it's against tou to ask if you're pregnant. None of us are able to look inside your uterus to see what is occuring. I recommend taking an hpt and/or seeking medical advise from a medical professional, such as your doctor.

First of all, read the rules of the board. One-off posts like this don't go over well. There are specific threads for certain topics, one being a question thread. Or more appropriately would be TFAS since it's easier to discuss current children/previous pregnancy on that thread.
Secondly, it's against the terms of use to ask if you are pregnant, even in a roundabout way. Most ladies here haven't experienced pregnancy, so it's likely you won't get a good answer.
Third, use a TW when mentioning children or pregnancy on this board.
Fourth, it can take months for your period to regulate after breastfeeding. Also, OPKs just detect an LH surge, it's not 100% guaranteed to tell you when you're ovulating, only temping or an ultrasound can confirm. I'd let your first period happen before thinking too much about any "symptoms" you're having. FWIW, **TW it took two months for my period to return after BFing, and then my first period lasted 16 days and I didn't get another until 72 days later. End TW** Your body needs time to regulate again.
People think we become mothers when we give birth but the truth is we become mothers the moment we start calling our babies to us in our thoughts, dreams and prayers. Some paths are short and some are so long that you can easily forget where you were headed.
