3rd Trimester

Pregnancy making you hate coffee?

Did this happen to anyone else? I'm usually a coffee fiend but since I've been pregnant I can't stand the sight or smell of it. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm now in the third trimester I don't see it going away. My mom had the same thing and said it lasted her entire pregnancies but came back after.

Did this happen to anyone else? If so, did you like coffee again?

Re: Pregnancy making you hate coffee?

  • No coffee but i can’t stand most tomatoe sauce products since my last pregnancy 2 yrs ago. It may or may not come back idk
  • No coffee or any types of caffinne for me since we got pregnant in september.  I feel funky even when I have chocolate too.

  • Yes! It happened with my first pregnancy and happened again with this one. I haven't been able to have a sip of coffee since around week 10 :( But after my first pregnancy, my craving for coffee came back, so I'm hoping it happens again this time, and fast! But I recently found I can tolerate frappuccinos - not much "coffee" but still something lol.
  • I had a coffee aversion for first tri- finally able to have it again at 14 weeks! My first pregnancy I didn't have this aversion.

I had this with my first. I couldn’t even be in the same room as someone drinking coffee the smell was so bad. It went back to normal after I gave birth.
  • I'm funny, I have gone off coffee completely at home but can still have iced coffee from a café. Hoping to be able to drink it properly again soon, I'm getting jealous of my SO drinking coffee every morning while I'm on tea and water :(
