It has been a crazy whirlwind weekend. We had AMAZING weather here though....how about everyone else?

Rant: We went looking at new houses on Saturday and I found one I LOVE but we would have to empty our savings to pay for it. Why are houses so expensive??

GTKY: What's the worst gift you ever received?    It was a Chinese Santa game that we were instructed to do stockings with giftcards, girly stuff, etc. Mine had a soup mug in it. That's it. That's not a bad gift, but when you're expecting gift card or makeup and everybody else gets that LOL needless to say, no one stole mine.

GTKY: What's the worst gift you ever received? 
My ex boyfriend was a notoriously bad gift giver. One year for Christmas he kept telling me how GREAT the gift he got me was. I mean, he really talked this gift up. So, naturally since o didn't feel like I'd gotten him anything that fantastic, I went out and spent some more money and bought a bunch of stuff for him. Christmas morning came and my gift was...Doug season 1. Yes, the nickelodeon cartoon. It was a teensy bit disappointing after all that big talk. Also one time he gave me a string of pearls and then proceeded to tell me he got them for free. Sigh. You should never tell a woman her gift was free.

Testing: BFN this morning. To be expected after all this spotting, but I still wanted to test. It’s my party and I’ll test if I want to, darnit!

R/R: It’s my birthday! I’m going to treat myself to a giant, free drink from Starbucks this morning.

CS/Q: Temps are starting to trend down a little now, still spotting. Waiting to hear back from OBs office on their thoughts.

GTKY: What's the worst gift you ever received? I think that I may just be a person who is really easily pleased, lol. I can’t think of any truly bad gifts. Every once in a while I’ll receive a piece of clothing that isn’t really my style, but that’s about it.

DH got me a membership to the Kennedy Center for my birthday, which I’m so excited about! We’re going to try to get Hamilton tickets later this week. Fingers crossed!!!!

R/R: It’s Monday… but I’m happy to be at work today.  We had a very boring weekend. We did go on a walk in the snow around a lake.  There was a moment on the dock where MH pretended to push me over. It would have been into the snow 5 feet below but I was seriously scared! I think I’ve been watching too much criminal minds lol.

GTKY: What's the worst gift you ever received? I think I’ve shared this before but in middle school my grandma gave me an oversized jean jacket vest with Noah’s ark embroidered on it…  Not my style lol

R/R: So. Tired. I wish I had a blanket in my office to take a nap . I am super frustrated I have been eating so much better (lest the GS cookies), and exercising 3-4 times a week and I’m not losing weight. It’s been about 6 weeks. Thanks, clomid, gonal-f, & prometrium. 

GTKY: I really cannot think of any. I can think of a few that I’ve given, that in hindsight we’re not the greatest!

@jrm_14 I mean, when I was 9 I guess you could say I was a fan? But not so much at the time of the gift giving lol And I think he had gotten the pearls in conjunction with another purchase. I can't remember what the thing he actually bought was though.

GTKY: What's the worst gift you ever received? When I was 12 or so, my aunt got me a shirt that waaay wasn’t my taste or size and had my name spelled wrong on it. I wasn’t really mad at her or anything since we weren’t particularly close, but it was hilariously wrong.

GTKY: What's the worst gift you ever received? When I was 16, my mom bought me a beanie with REBEL in rhinestones across the front of it. It was terrible. Every time I would leave to go snowboarding, she would ask if I was going to wear my new beanie

GTKY: What's the worst gift you ever received? 
My husband got me a breakfast sandwich maker one year for Christmas.  Gift-giving is just not a skill he possesses.  I’ve learned to keep my expectations low.

@meri-mac A very popcorn fantasy book ‘Oathbringer’. Thankfully DH is feeling mostly better now.

My RE intro appointment got moved back about a week, but at least it’s with a MD provider so it gets rid of the NP->MD step. So much waiting!

@jrm_14 Losing weight on fertility meds is an uphill battle. I gained a ton of weight and nothing helped me lose it, all I could do was try to hold my weight steady.

Testing: because I got a BFN yesterday and I'm going to believe it's too early.  I can't test again until I get home,  I only brought 1 with me on this trip.

Any kind of stupid lotion/soap/candle gift baskets. I hate them with a passion of a 1,000 suns yet I always get gifted them.

Sorry to P&G. I am super overwhelmed and swamped at work but wanted to post as I haven't in a few days.

R/R: Just bummed. This was our last chance before putting TTGP on hold and I thought I was okay with it but I'm feeling a little down. I also didn't get a break from work this weekend since I had to travel for a conference Saturday and Sunday and now because I was sick Friday I'm way behind plus still trying to recover from the stomach flu. so many rants today.

@jrm_14 I have seriously considered bringing a blanket to my office too! Not for the napping but because I’m always so cold… but then I would probably end up napping lol.

@lin0442 FX you and YH get better soon.  I always love getting some good reading in.  Now days I only read when I’m on the bus.

@eleven_ OMG I would die if I had to give a presentation like that… I hate talking in front of people. Hopefully it went alright.

@catlady2015 You never know, +1 might be the magic number for you guys.  I’ve been reading a lot about delayed O because of my ibuprofen use, but I guess it can happen naturally too, so you never know!

@coco2787 MH had his first dream that I was KU. He’s convinced this is our month lol. I love indoor water parks! Super jealous!

@meri-mac MH wants me to watch supernature. I told him I would after I finished binging criminal minds lol.

@galactickates Happy birthday to YH! I’ve never had my dogs teeth cleaned. I’m intrigued. I also hate lotion/soap/candle gift baskets.  They usually end up getting thrown away after a few years of sitting in the closet.

@kristah2 Sorry for your BFN. I can relate with you.  Only a few months in to us trying I got a new job, so we were going to just put ourselves on hold… We ended up NTNP instead because I couldn’t bring myself to stop.  I barely made it through 3 months before we actively started trying again, even though my probationary period was 6 month and we had hit the fertile week perfectly while NTNP. Why are you guys benched after this month? I think I remember reading somewhere that YH is going out of town for work??

@LJMoon6 A job with a probationary period can be super tough! Mine is timing with H's work schedule. Work is going to take priority for about 6-8 weeks in the new year and it's not fair to either of us to have a newborn then. We will be benched now until July probably. It seems so far away!

@meri-mac - my younger sister was the genius behind that gift. happy high school graduation, here's a used bag.  she admitted (like ten years later) it was a crappy gift and apologized, but in the moment she thought it was a pretty good gift.

@LJMoon6 - we have doxies and they are super prone to bad teeth so they go once a year. The scariest part is that they go under anesthesia. They are just so little. H and I freak out while we wait the whole time. 

@kristah2 - I got a bfn too. I say it's too early,  let's not get our hopes up yet.  Maybe our fertilized eggy is just taking the scenic route? Idk - Let's go with that. 

@rosebud332 - that story about Doug was hilarious! You should get him Dougs outfit as a gag gift one year.  "I got you the best present!!! Now you can BE Doug!" Lol

@rosebud332 Ugh I hate Doug. I was always super disappointed when that came on. That and Hey Arnold! I feel you on needing to de-clutter your house. Mine is so bad and I don’t even know where to start.
