Another new girl has arrived

Hi ladies!
My name is megan and I am here to tell you a little bit about me.
I am 26 yo and my husband and I have been trying to conceive for 6 years. I am dx with PCOS and I take metformin daily. I have had 6 failed rounds of Clomid with an ob and I have my first appointment with a fertility specialist on feb 21st.
I am a pediatric nurse and I love my job but not a shift goes by that one of my parents doesn't ask if I have kids of my own. Each time I have to say no breaks my heart. I look forward to the day that I can say yes!
I look forward to getting to know each of you and supporting each other through this process.

  • H i Megan! Good luck to you lady! I have PCOS too and Clomid didn't do crap for me either or metformin. Well metformin made me super sick so had to get off of it. I'm sure they will figure out something for you that will work. Stims were a life changer for me. I can't even fathom working in that field and going through this. Super tough. Well welcome!

  • Welcome and I'm sorry that you find yourself here. This journey of IF is pretty tough and could get pretty lonely at times but I found a great support from this board, from the ladies who take the time to listen to me and give me lots of advice and care. Though this is just an internet relationship, I could feel that pat in the back when I needed the most. I hope that you'd experience this kind of support and encouragement I had from this board. GL on your cycles!
  • Thank you ladies! I hate that I have to be here but I'm glad I have a community to talk to. My husband tries to understand but he just doesn't because there is nothing wrong with him.
  • I’m sorry your here, but I found great support from TB. In fact, I’m super close with girls from my previous BMB and get together with girls from all over the country.

Also have PCOS and didn’t have any ovulation success until injectables were increased. Husbands try to understand, but it’s a totally different dynamic.

  • That is awesome that you get so much support. In the years that we have been trying to conceive I have kept it all hush hush like it is a dirty little secret I have to be ashamed of. I'm trying to be more accepting of my journey now and I am loving funding out I'm not alone.
