Joining the convo on toddlers speech. .. DS is 17 months just started saying words like this week. I'm impressed with how quickly he's expanding his vocabulary, but his articulation is super off and he usually drops half a word. Fish is "iss" for example and dog and duck are both "da" (well everything is a da to him!) My pediatrician says they should be saying about 20 words at 18 months so we'll likely get him evaluated. If he doesn't qualify, then great, but if he does I'd rather get it addressed sooner than later.
How old are your other kids? Will be 2 on the 21st
Current challenges/concerns about being a STM+ or questions about things your children are going through now? I’m just worried that DS will have a hard time with the transition especially since it will be 2 babies and not just one.
Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM: I’m glad that DS will have siblings and I know he will be a great big brother once he adjusts.
GTKY: Do you like/ will you plan this baby’s name as part of a sib-set? How much will your other child/children’s name(s) influence your decision making process once that becomes a discussion?
i don’t pick names that match but I do a avoid names that are in the top 100. Picking a boy name was really tough with DS.

@megnwingate I LOVE both of your daughters names! I feel like Adalynn (and various spellings) has really gained traction in popularity which has made me more hesitant to keep it on my favorites list.

@xxkberxx I never heard her name until the year she was born, then every girl born was an Adalynn. like this year there are 3 Adalynn’s on her comp cheer team
@megnwingate that’s crazy but I guess that’s the possibility with any name we choose. It’s a beautiful name so it only makes sense others want to use it too
