I've recently read that it's actually ok for pregnant women to clean the litter box. I will not be telling H this.
I've been seeing on other boards of people rehoming their dogs while pregnant or soon after a baby arrives. I'm the crazy person getting another dog before I'm too far along in my pregnancy. It feels like our family will be complete once we have the second dog and a baby.
@SkilledSailor I have also heard that. I believe if your cat is indoor only and you have had them for over a year you are fine. The bacteria of concern comes from digging around outside. I would ask a vet for specifics though.
My fffc.... I love MTV's the Challenge and this new season seems extra ridiculously awesome
@SkilledSailor I got a second dog when I was 8 weeks with my last pregnancy. Wouldn't change it for the world! The vet visits for shots and training were much easier before a kid was in the mix.
My fffc: I think some of the pampering at spas is ridiculous and overdone. It's so over the top sometimes it makes me uncomfortable...completely the opposite of what I wanted in this experience.
@spottedginger This bloat already has me dreaming of maternity clothes and I've never even worn them. Also excited for all of the maternity maxis!
@patience7150 Why go to a nice spa if you don't want to be pampered? That's my favorite part! There are some massage places that offer just the basics but I love the spa with the hushed voices and a tea room and a robe and slippers and a sauna. *Goes to see what this months specials are*.
@SkilledSailor I like the slippers and robes and stuff, but the 45 questions on whether I need something until I acquiesce and accept something make me uncomfortable!
@spottedginger I am totally rocking maternity jeans today. I made DH get them out of the attic last night. The hair the trick wasn't cutting it.
My confession: I just told my 3 year old that Super Wy was asleep because after the third Netflix episode, my nerves needed her to watch anything else. Totally cool with lying to my toddler, lol.
@MrsAdventure hahaha I tell DD that Elmo is sleeping all the time, we only get 4 episodes at a time though or pbs app and we watch them all the time
@mdexter11 yessssss also Tori had become one of my faves. And since when is Britni good at winning??? Must have been working out in the off-season
@SkilledSailor so in a nutshell The Challenge is former cast members of MTV shows play ridiculous games and vote each other out and try to get to the end for the final challenge worth lots of money. It also includes drinking/hookups/backstabbing.... All the exiting stuff
Another fffc: I am much more likely to recognize your avatar from love tits if it isn’t a baby pic. Or a pic of you with a baby. When they are eraser sized on mobile and hiding behind a heart, all babies/ babies and their mammas look similar.
Eta- that came out more abruptly than intended. I have a hard time distinguishing users based on their baby pic avatars. Could just be a me thing
@MrsAdventure I wish that worked with my daughter. I got sick of sesame Street so I tried Word Party on Netflix, she loves it but Mommy can't handle the songs.
I will wear jeans and dress like responsible adult to go out, but I put on sweats/yoga pants/leggings as pants pretty much the second I get home. I don't understand how people wear jeans when they are doing stuff around the house, *especially* if they are on the floor playing with little ones.
It made my blood boil yesterday morning when my DH mentioned to me that I should stop wearing my slacks because they were looking extra tight and that I should just stick to wearing my dresses when I'm outside the house. My exact reaction was "You better watch out. You're in for a long ride because I haven't even begun to gain weight."
I started this job prior to treatment, so I made a point to only get stretchy work pants. I found the perfect ones at Macy's - no closure or anything - and so I got 6 pairs! (In different colours). So now I'm hoping to see how long these pants will last, if they'll fit under the bump eventually, too! :# LOL
I barely bought any maternity clothes last time, just plus sized stuff . . . And I never really stopped wearing them. So I can't tell if my waist is getting bigger because none of my stretchy pants are getting tight. (And I always look pregnant because I'm overweight and carry it in my belly anyway, my whole family does.)
@businesswife DH and I tried to watch the first episode of GoT. I made it 10 minutes before I fell asleep on the couch. I woke up an hour later to him playing Xbox. And that was our whole experience. We never tried again. Not impressed.
I’ve probably eaten way more bacon than a pregnant lady should so far.
I hate maternity pants. They all just slowly sag down and I spend all freaking day pulling them up. Every time I bend over, or squat down or sit down they fall off my ass, and I have a big one. I ended up wearing more dresses and super loose (husband's) pajamas and workout gear as much as possible last time. I want to love maternity, and I grow out of my wardrobe and the hair tie trick by 6 weeks every time-but I hate constantly pulling my pants up.

@BusinessWife I need to find those stretchy work pants? What brand are they??
@Wishilivedinflorida Ok initially I was the same way. But give it 2-3 episodes and you will be hooked. There are a lot of characters so it takes a while to figure everything out
@SkilledSailor I love the gif and congrats on the US!!!! I’m in the medical field and while I’m no expert I would take these 9 months as a break from car liter duties...def not worth the risk. And youre not crazy getting the puppy. My friend did the same thing when she was pregnant and it worked out great. And I second @Patience7150 now before the baby is the best time. And it will give your pup a playmate so he won’t be so jealous when you and DH are busy with baby.
@pourmeamocktail Saggy pants sound terrible. I think I’m going to be more of a dress person in pregnancy
If your cats are indoor only and you have had them for a long time (over a year?) Than you should be ok. Toxoplasmosis is found in the dirt. For this one I would ask your vet what your risk would be based on your cat situation.
@carolina422. Charter Club Cambridge tummy-control slim-leg pants. It looks like some colours and sizes are on sale right now, but maybe being end of season, the choices are a little limited. But I'm sure they will stock more before too long! They come in plus and petite sizes, too! I absolutely scored mine at the sale price, and couldn't be happier ;)
