@KristoKekerooni I dont know if anyone will do u/s for AFC, but I also don't know how necessary that is for IVF (vs a cool things to know, KWIM) if you have already had an AFC counted in the past 6 months
@kristokekerooni I would echo what @kiwi2628 said that not getting an AFC on CD3 should not stop you starting the first night of stims - if you have an US in those first few days it looks pretty much the same normally, certainly one day more won’t hurt. Also my RE says I can choose to start stims anywhere from CD2-4.

About 18hrs after my first dose of letrozole, I started noticing a rash on my face & neck. I didn’t think much of it bc I have sensitive skin. I took another dose 6hrs later and I’m now covered in full blown hives, swelling, and it burns like a raging fire.
Took benedryl & called the RE’s nurse on call. Clearly I’m not going to take anymore. They can’t do anything until Monday, like switch to clomid. Nurse said they may just cancel the cycle and try again next cycle.
I am sad. At least I hadn’t started injections, right?
What’s on my neck has sense spread to the trunk of my body.
@jrm_14 holy shit, I’ve never seen a reaction like that from letrozole before. I’m glad you’re okay! That really stinks though that they can’t get back to you until Monday after I’m sure you were looking forward to doing this treatment cycle. Remind me what you were doing this cycle again?
@rallykat14 oooh So your donor starts stims any day now then? And I much prefer the REs that don’t just put people on BC for convenience. Will you do an ERA this cycle to know when best to transfer your frosties next month?
@jrm_14 oh no!!!!! Oh that really sucks. But yes it’s a good thing the reaction came before you started with injectibles. Hope it calms down now you don’t take any more. And Fx they can get you onto something else quickly - would just going with the Gonal F not be an option?

I am am still racking my brain for ANYTHING else that reaction could have been. Nada- nothing else was different. Not detergent, not soaps, not good, nothing. I used a different type of a face mask (same brand, different scent). However, that wouldn’t explain it all over my body.

Took benedryl & called the RE’s nurse on call. Clearly I’m not going to take anymore. They can’t do anything until Monday, like switch to clomid. Nurse said they may just cancel the cycle and try again next cycle.
I am sad. At least I hadn’t started injections, right?
And I much prefer the REs that don’t just put people on BC for convenience.
Will you do an ERA this cycle to know when best to transfer your frosties next month?
@jrm_14 oh no!!!!! Oh that really sucks. But yes it’s a good thing the reaction came before you started with injectibles. Hope it calms down now you don’t take any more. And Fx they can get you onto something else quickly - would just going with the Gonal F not be an option?

yeah, still nada. No cramps, no spotting, nothing. I love been eating Indian food and taking black cohosh and turmeric pills. At this point, if she shows before Wednesday I’ll just move my flights. Otherwise I’ll have to completely cancel them. So frustrating.
Diagnoses: RPL, Endometriosis, MFI (count, morph, DNI, DNAS, multiple bilateral subclinical varicoceles), low progesterone

Laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, chromotubation: 23 July 2018: blocked right tube, heavily inflamed, covered in endo. Removed right tube. Removed more endo from uterus, tubes, ovaries. Endo remains on bladder and bowel.

I am am still racking my brain for ANYTHING else that reaction could have been. Nada- nothing else was different. Not detergent, not soaps, not good, nothing. I used a different type of a face mask (same brand, different scent). However, that wouldn’t explain it all over my body.
