The other night, DH and I were talking about how long it was until bath time. We spelled out B-A-T-H and DD said Bath! Yay!! We were shocked! We don't think she can spell yet, so we're guessing she just caught on to our conversation and pieced it together with the time of evening it was.
We're also working on potty training. Whenever I have her go to the bathroom with me and it's my turn, when she hears the tell-tale sound, she pats me on the shoulder and says yay mommy going pee pee in the potty! She has even done it in public restrooms. It's embarrassing, but really cute at the same time lol.
@zizzabell523 that's too funny about her knowing what you guys were spelling. DS did the same a few months ago when me and SO we're discussing putting him down for a N-A-P... His imemediate response "I don't want to take a nap!" These kids are so smart!
The creepiest thing that happened with a toddler... my friends 3 year old was at our old house, we were standing outside, she was looking up at the bedroom window. I asked her what she was looking at, and she said the little girl in the window .... there was no little girl... even creepier, her dad actually grew up in that house, and when I told him, he told me his mother had lost a baby girl. I have goosebumps just thinking about it...
DD 2 really wants the baby to be a girl. I'm actually getting worried she'll be any when it's a boy. Tonight we ended up negotiating it. She suggested we have 2 babies so we could have 1 of each. Finally, she decided they best compromise would be for everyone else to call the baby a boy, but she'll still call it a girl.
I swear I had a contraction after doing way too much activity being back to work on Wednesday. I held on to the doorway and said, "ow!" The toddler was next to me and said, "Mommy! What happened?" and I told him my belly hurt. He put his hand on my belly and said, "oh Mommy, are you ok? You feel better?" It. Was. The. Sweetest.
DD told me today she wanted to go to the beach. I told her we can’t because it’s too cold at the beach right now. She sighed and said “Mama, beach not cold” and stomped off.
She also threw a fit the other day when my mom mentioned the beach and then wouldn’t take her to it. We live 5 hours from a beach and have been once.
the other day Henrik (2) found a koozie in our laundry room. He said “beer goes in here. There’s no beer. It’s all gone. Daddy drank all the beer.” Proud mom moment? Haha. Just glad it wasn’t in public.
