Re: Symptoms - Week of Jan. 1

  • I'm 4w3d and so far I'm a little neauseated and tired, my boobs are tender, and I'm bloated. I've had the sniffles since O, which is super annoying. Oh and backed up. :/

  • 4+4. Already bloated, peeing constantly, and tired. But the worst is that I've been spotting on and off for like...idk, 10 days. First it was implantation bleeding, then after that stopped I spotted a little from sex like 5 days ago. That stopped, and apparently it hadn't all worked it's way out, because yesterday I started just a tiny bit again, but super dark (which should mean it's not concerning....should), but either way it makes me nervous. Unless it gets heavy or has cramps, my doc doesn't want to see me until 10 weeks. So...I'd just prefer it stops.

  • 5+4 and I've been throwing up since 4+3. I had HG with my last pregnancy so I can't wait to start on diclegis again. It didn't take away all the symptoms last time, but made it more manageable ( throwing up 1-3 times per day vs 10+). I'm hoping I won't have a problem getting a script at my first appointment next week because I'm with a new OB since we moved to a new state, last time they made me wait until 9 weeks to "try more natural remedies first." Other than that I have some breast tenderness and that's about it.
  • @lizzydpt That sounds awful! Hope you can get that prescription soon!

I’m 5w2d. What started off as “queasiness” is now definitely MS. I realized on Monday that there’s no way I’ll be making it the whole trimester without throwing up. The only other symptoms I have are pure exhaustion and some breast tenderness.
  • @SkilledSailor it was pretty awful, luckily I'm not that bad yet, but I'm getting myself ready for the long haul. Preggy drops are a life saver, I don't know if it's the sour flavor of them or just that there's enough sugar, but they really help if I'm starting to get naseaous. Plus I can pop one while I'm treating and my patients are none the wiser.
  • @lizzydpt Fx this time is not as bad for you. I loved the preggy drops last time around as well.

No real bloating or MS yet, but I’m super exhausted! Per past experiences I usually don’t get any major symptoms until 6+ weeks and I’m only 5+2 today. So I’m waiting in the calm before the storm!

@pourmeamocktail FX your spotting stops soon! Also, I love your SN! I think we need a Mocktail Recipe thread like August has  :)

@Jyoung327 I'm with you...happy to be experiencing symptoms for good reason!

@Wishilivedinflorida Love your SN, too! I'm in the South and it is still sooooo cold here!

AFM: I'm 4 weeks today, my first sign I might be pregnant was sensitive nips at 9 dpo while in the shower. I also get crampy in the evenings, which I don't remember from last time around, and I'm cold all the time. I can smell allthethings which really hit me in the deoderant/Axe aisle at Target :s The exhaustion hit at 5 weeks for me with #1, so I'm trying to take advantage of having some energy for as long as it lasts!

  • Hello Everyone!!!
I'm 5 weeks today and am having sore breasts, bloating and gas, and what my sister calls the swamp crouch. I can't wait for my first appointment in 3 weeks!!!

  • @southernlady07 Thanks, and crossing my fingers too! I could probably contribute a new recipe most days. I mean I create mocktails at work for me and other ladies who are either hiding pregnancy or just wanting to be sober....

Gotta do something because sometimes I can't stomach water.

  • I’m 5 weeks and feeling pretty good except the last two days I. Am. Exhausted.
Second (third? fourth?) on the mocktail recipes! We’ve got to get through the whole summer once it gets here!
  • I'm 5+1 today. So far I have very tender nips/boobs, gas, and constipation. I've also had some nausea while eating or directly after eating!! I can handle most of the symptoms... this constipation is getting to me though!

  • I'm 4+4 today...battling a cold I've had since before BFP.  Tender breasts and fatigue are my only symptoms so far.
  • I'm 5+1 today and have felt sooo tired, but I can't tell if it's just normal life + having a one year old, or if it's pregnancy related. I also got super nauseous last night after dinner, which has happened a couple times now and I keep worrying that I'm getting food posioning, but I have to remind myself that I'm pregnant and it's probably morning sickness. I was so lucky and didn't have any ms with my first, so I was hoping for the same this time, but we'll see.
  • I’m tired, but have been struggling to sleep the past few days. I have sinus issues, and have been so hungry lately. With my first, I was so nauseous all the time I couldn’t eat. This time, I only get nauseated if I get hungry. Problem is that it’s all the time. I wake up before 5 every morning over the past week starving and I have to eat before I can lay back down again. I was constipated, but I think I finally got that fixed with colace. I’m taking all the symptoms as good signs so I’m super happy even though I feel terrible.
  • Hey ladies, fx the nausea and MS doesn't get too bad too soon!  ❤  The worst I've had of that so far is waves of a bit of nausea but nothing major, or gagging when I smell something lol

I have had the same cold as you @ttcintx and still haven't quite kicked it.  So maybe that is masking any pregnancy fatigue, but that is kicking my butt nevertheless.  I started getting short of breath coming upstairs almost instantly, and now I'm tired and yawning early in the evening, for sure.  But otherwise just some odd pinching and random cramps are about the most noticeable.  Well, that, and the <i>BLOAT</i>!  Lol

    Oh, what am I 4+3 today?  I think? 12dp5dt
  • I can feel the morning sickness lurking in the background starting to set in. Exhaustion is creeping too. I am trying to get as much gym time in as possible before I crap out. With the girls I threw up all day every day for just over 10 weeks so I am hoping and wishing that doesn't happen again!
  • Also @lizzydpt I hope your morning sickness settles down soon. That sounds miserable. :(
  • @BuckeyeNut05 thanks, but I'm getting ready for the long haul again. I was sick with my daughter from week 6 until 24 hours after I delivered. A small part of me hopes it's a first trimester thing this time, but I'm also trying to be realistic and not get my hopes up. Seriously though if anyone needs any tricks to settle morning sickness I picked up a few tricks last time that seem to be helping so far this time.
  • Hi ladies! I’m 5w3d and so far the only symptoms I’m experiencing are sore breasts, some fatigue, and mood swings (sorry hubby). No nausea yet and I’m praying it stays this way!
  • Also, how can I change my username? I went into the settings on my app and changed it but it doesn’t look like it’s updated on here?!
  • Glad you're feeling pretty good so far!  @Knottie1451135046. Please, pretty please, do you want to take a minute to go over the the Knot and update your username so it's easier to tag you?   the knottie thing with all the numbers is pretty brutal ;)

Got it! Ugh, it was brutal - sorry about that!
  • Fx you ladies symptoms don’t get too crazy too early. 5+3 today other than some mild cramping I’ve been fine. Usually MS doesn’t start until week 6 for me. At least it’s been that way for my other 3 pregnancies.

  • @lizzydpt please PLEASE pass on your tricks! I’m sorry you’ve felt so miserable. I’ve had almost all pregnancy long nausea with my last two pregnancies and vomited almost every morning with my last one. I took diclectin which I did not find helped, and zofran when desperate. I’m 6 w and sooooo nauseous in the mornings. Zero energy and sleeping as soon as my girls are in bed nightly. I work shift work and nights are literally killing me.
  • I'm 5w today. My symptoms have been all over the place. But fatigue, mild cramping and breast tenderness were constant. Headaches on and off.

    BabyFetus Ticker
  • @starla I second you with bloating since my transfer but instead of backing up, I keeps having loose BM.  I know I'm still going to be constipated based on my past experience

  • Nauseated, RLP, back pain, moody as hell, my boobs hurt.
    Photobucket Pregnancy Ticker
  • Agree with @megnwingate. I’ve never really had vomiting with my MS (more like queasiness, aversion to food in general), but that usually kicks in sometime in the 6th week per my previous experiences. I’m riding out this 5th week in bliss, for I know what’s to come!
  • @borntorun17 I'm so sorry that you feel this way. I took diclegis last time and while it didn't make my symptoms go away, it made them more manageable.
I've found that keeping crackers right next to my bed helps with the morning nausea. I'm not at this point yet, but last time found that if I woke up feeling hungry in the middle of the night a snack made the rest of my night and then the next morning so much easier. My go to snack last time was a super pretzel, I know it sounds crazy but I've found that salt seems to help with my morning sickness and 30 seconds in the microwave allowed me to go back to sleep pretty quickly. I also can't live without preggy drops, I stayed away from them until about 20 weeks last time because I didn't think they would work, but I don't go anywhere without some in my pocket. I hope some of these tricks give you some relief and you start to feel better.
  • @lizzydpt thanks! I will definitely try that. I do find I’m more nauseated when my stomach is empty but I really don’t want to be constantly eating! Fingers crossed it doesn’t stick around for 40 weeks.
  • Again with the early round ligament pain! My Dr thought I was crazy last time because it was my first symptom and she thought it seemed early but here we go again!
  • Definitely tired and my boobs hurt! I had a dream a few weeks ago that I was nursing a baby (this was before I found out I was pregnant) and I was like ok my boobs are really going through it right now haha. I found myself a little cranky with my 5yo DD last night as she gave me a hard time at bedtime, and had to remind myself that it was just me being moody! I'm also either bloated or this baby is starting to show (6 weeks today) because I've had to resort to the rubber band method of "buttoning" my pants up. The one good thing about this weather is that I can wear layers at work and my tummy is concealed! Happy Friday mamas!

  • Is being freezing cold all the time a pregnancy symptom? My wool socks and long johns are no longer cutting it during the day

@EErin86 I am cold all of the time, too, and am typically warm natured! I didn't experience this with my first.

ETA: It's also been about 10 degrees where I am, so I am sure that is not helping.  :D

  • Nausea has hit me like a ton of bricks in the last 24 hours.
  • @ambybambi Girl yes. Everyone else saying it doesn’t really hit til 6-8 weeks has me scared.
  • Same here @ambybambi. It had been getting worse every day but this morning was puketastic. Unfortunately with my other pregnancies it got worse. I need to start planning our meals keeping in mind that I probably won't be wanting to eat anything.
