Month/Cycle: 7/7 (3 ntnp, I realized this weekend that I’d
been counting the number of months wrong.
We are in the middle of our 7th month trying…)
WAYDTGKU: PNV, charting CM, first month with OPKs (still
haven’t turned one positive… which either means I missed it cause I’m only
testing once a day. Or that I’m O-ing later in my cycle which would line up
with my previous cycles from charting CM).
R/R: Rave. I found out that there is a European Christmas
Market close to my house. I am so
excited to go next weekend but temps are supposed to drop to a high on 18 on
Saturday. I guess I’ll have to break out
the long underwear. Rant. I’m
starting to get anxious about this cycle.
I’m so worried about missing our week or that something’s wrong.
CS/Q: (rant continued…) If I am O-ing later in my cycle that would
mean my LP is less than 10 days. Is that
enough to request some tests? Of course
I would like to confirm O with OPKs AND BBT next cycle…. I also had a freak out
moment this weekend googling too much.
My mom had endometriosis, and ended up having a complete hysterectomy from
post-partum complications before she was 30. I know I’m at a high risk of
having endometriosis, although I have no symptoms. Again is this enough to request some tests
before the one year mark?
GTKY: Create your own holiday-inspired
"Would you rather?" question. (Feel free to look ideas
too. The funnier the better ). Ugh so bad at this… Would you rather write a
five-paragraph essay about the meaning of Christmas or solve a page of
Christmas-themed math problems.
@jsnakehole I am totally
in the same boat with the OPKs. So frustrating and making me anxious with
@dukestar5 Yay for positive
@matryoshkadoll Whenever I
get sad I always repeat in my head “Everything happens for a reason.” It’s what
my grandma always says.
@SkilledSailor The “week o’
fun” sounds great!
@darkstar42 Happy belated
about your foot! I’m glad you’re feeling better.
@Avrilmai Although I hate
winter I am also excited for the weather to get a little colder so hopefully
there will be snow for Christmas. It’s
just not the same without it.

WAYDTGKU: HIO, PNVs, CM, OPKs
R/R: Rant: I tried to use an OPK this morning without dipping it in a cup and
that didn’t work at all. Mostly that’s a rant at myself for being lazy. Rave: I
found Hallmark Christmas movies on youtube so that’s my background noise at
GTKY: Would you rather never receive another gift from anyone ever again or be
forced to give everyone in your family a sex toy as a gift? Thanks Buzzfeed for
@jsnakehole Oh what kind of field trip is it? The robotics
@dukestar5 GL tonight! And I definitely pick the Rudolph nose.
@matryoshkadoll Is it bad to admit I don’t think I’ve heard
that Paul McCartney song?
@skilledsailor Your week of fun sounds awesome! I’m totally jealous
of your ugly Christmas sweater party.
@darkstar42 Sometimes lazy weekends are so necessary and worth
the work you have to catch up on just for the mental break.
@stargazer1lily How did you hurt your work? I’m glad it’s
feeling better now though.
@Avrilmai I don’t love flavored coffee usually, but I NEED
peppermint mocha during the holidays.
@eleven_ Is there alcohol in my eggnog because if so, I pick
@LJMoon6 Ohhh a Christmas market sounds like lots of fun. I’m
not as far along with trying as you are, but I think I would still see about
getting an appointment with my Gyn and talking to her about my
@emmasemm FX the rest of the week continues to go smoothly.
I think I would pick New Years Day because I love Christmas and I wouldn’t want
to start hating it if it never ended.
@emmasemm Hi. I joined the board a week or two ago but haven’t
posted much (still getting used to this talking to strangers thing lol). I thought I had a pretty good understanding
of the signs my body was giving me but every month I get less sure. So I decided to add the OPKs. Now I’m wishing I would have started tracking
BBT this month as well… Oh well, next month.
A couple of you ladies suggested testing multiple times a day, which I
did over the weekend. But how do you do
it at work!? The tests I bought say no
FMU which is why I’ve been testing in the afternoon when I get home. I’m just
hoping I’ll turn one soon and I don’t have to worry about it (I did detect an
increase in CM this morning). I
downloaded FF when I joined the group but never officially set it up till
today. Made me kinda realize how little
of information I’ve been keeping track of… BTW I love math. That’s why I picked
that question lol. Huge STEM nerd.
@SkilledSailor When I have been testing it has been in the
afternoon. I did test multiple times
yesterday but I’m not sure how to test during work days?
@melbel0824 I had an appointment with my gyn a couple months
ago and all she said was to keep BDing… She wants me to come in this month is
not KU yet for a pap but other than that she doesn’t sound too concerned about
@ljmoon6 don’t worry - I still discover new things about my body and my cycle every month! I set up the spreadsheet as after my number of cycles I can do some pretty good regression analysis by now ;-)Someone recently posted that if you can change a pad or a tampon at work, then you can use OPKs and do IVF injections... other people tend to realize less than we think! I do OPKs without peeing in a cup by using the wrapper it comes in (I use internet cheapies) to pee in and then dipping in that. I rip open the top and half way down one side which seems to give me a big enough space to aim in!
@emmasemm and @Avrilmai Fucking genius! You guys are
awesome. Thanks for the tip, I will have
to try that tomorrow.
@blackhottamales I’m at that point in my cycle that I start
to doubt everything I thought I knew about my body… I’m really just hoping that
I’ve been misinterpreting the signs. I’m
hoping the OPKs will give me better insight of when I actually O. Next month I’ll
be adding BBT.
@SkilledSailor I’m glad you have a week o’ fun coming up!
You deserve it. Wait, Star Wars comes out this week??? I’ll be there too.
@Stargazer1lily That’s great that your foot is feeling
@Avrilmai Thanks! It was nice to take a break, especially
after last week. And I’m a Paul McCartney fan as well.
@eleven_ Thanks! I’m sorry for cd 1. It doesn’t matter how
many months you’ve been at this, cd 1 is always rough. AFM, I’m terrible at
time management, so I didn’t get through everything I should have today. Oh
well. Tomorrow I’m going to work from a coffee shop instead of going into the
office, so hopefully that’ll help me be more productive!
@LJMoon6 Am I remembering correctly that you’re in the twin
cities? Can you pm me info on the Christmas market? That sounds lovely! Since
you aren’t temping right now I’d wait before getting testing done.
@emmasemm Your dinner with YH sounds lovely! Thanks so much
for your support and encouragement with all things RE-related. It’s always hard
to know when to trust the doctor and when to advocate, but you have been so
helpful with figuring it all out!
@melbel0824 Your background of Hallmark movies sounds fun!
@blackhottamales I don’t blame you for wanting to dial back
on ttc. It can really become an obsession, which isn’t good. You know we’ll all
fully support whatever decision you make.
@offtoneverland My day wasn’t too crazy, but I definitely
didn’t get all my work done! That’s pretty par for the course though. I’m awful
at time management. Congratulations on the new position! That’s fabulous!
