I only know circumcision, so I can’t speak on not— personally anyway. Our son’s circumcision was quick and easy. DH went back with him shockingly and said he only cried when they strapped him down and by the time they handed him to DH he was already asleep again. When they got back to the room I had to undress him to wake him to nurse. We loaded on Vaseline to prevent it sticking to his diaper and never had any trouble. Still have not years later.
Side note: my husband’s best friend in high school was not circumcised and was very self conscious about it, he also said he complained of being overly sensitive. That said, that’s just one person, someone else may not care what their man goods look like and may not be anymore sensitive than the next! I would look at unbiased studies/information though, avoid anything that sways heavily one way over the other, similar to vaccinations you’re going to get super strong feelings on both sides!
