@leilaquinn My step daughter had the reflux surgery at 7 years old, they didn’t catch it for many years and many years of infections. Even at 7, the surgery was “easy” and you’d never know she had it. Another friend’s daughter had the surgery at 2. Hers was a faster recovery, because she was younger. Hopefully it will clear up on its own, but if it comes to surgery, know that it was relatively easy as surgeries go and now you’d never know!

@mcb0110 that’s great to hear! I’m So glad your step daughter is all sorted out, I’ve had 2 UTIs in my life and one of them was when I was about 9 and it was so terrible.
Update: We had our second level 2 ultrasound today to check on the three spots on baby’s liver. They are still there but they have not changed in size or in quantity, which is good. Everything else checked out perfectly fine. He weighs 2 lbs 9 oz (65th percentile). They also said that they couldn’t find anything wrong with my placenta today (they said that I have something called a circumvallate placenta and that needed to be monitored as well). Overall a pretty good appointment and we’ll go back in 4-5 weeks for another check on his liver/growth.

Had anot her level 2 US today to make sure the bladder cyst is gone. It is. Baby looks fantastic, but they found out my cervix is short. So now that is being monitored.
I had my first follow up ultrasound yesterday. Baby is in the 50ish percentile and the umbilical cord insertion is no where near my cervix, which are both great. I spoke to the MFM more about my history of small (healthy) babies and what that means going forward if (when) this baby starts going down in the growth chart. Basically, they have no way of telling if it's genetics or the cord issue causing growth drops, so they'd have me come in for more frequent ultrasounds to monitor for IUGR. My son was born at about the 5th percentile, and monitoring for IUGR starts at the 10th.
Had our follow up today and everything looked great! The placenta calcification isn’t affecting his growth (33 percentile) and he’s doing all he should. He’s still transverse but I could have told you that, he kicks my cervix like it’s his job, plenty of time to turn. One more growth scan and I can do it at my dr’s office, not the high risk office. Yay.
@Cowboycorgi My cervical length was 2.5cm. It is being checked again next week. I have had no contractions, or anything that I could see would cause this. There is no funneling when pressure is put on my abdomen, which is good. I have also had 2 full term births. The MFM said it could just be how my cervix behaves during pregnancy, but I am being monitored now.
@notthefather It really is haha. Now every twinge I think I am having contractions. When I know rationally, I am not. But I live less than an hour from one of the best children's hospitals in the country, worst case scenario.

@kalawa, what was your cervical length? Are there any other signs that this could cause a problem or preterm labor? Keep that baby cookin’, mama!
