Any appointments coming up? Anatomy scan tomorrow. Super excited but very nervous.
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): Pretty good actually. We passed another big milestone this week and I feel better after passing that. Had a momentary panic yesterday but then felt LO kicking away and that gave me a lot of reassurance.
GTKY: What was your best/favourite Halloween costume as a child? One year my best friend and I dressed up as Siamese twins. We already looked similar, so we put on her dad's huge winter coat over both of us. It was super warm (it's always freezing here on Halloween with lots of snow) and we got lots of compliments on our creativity. And it cost nothing! Lol!!
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)
2.0 has been kicking away in there more than I remember with my first, which is reassuring. I can only feel him down low or on my sides though because of my anterior placenta. Overall as time keeps clicking by, I am getting more confident about meeting this little one.
GTKY: What was your best/favourite Halloween costume as a child? I don’t know? Halloween has never been a big deal for me and I guess I’m trying to be more into it since we have DS ((but I was not dismayed that he completely refused to put on a costume or even pants last night and we ended up staying home and eating McDonald’s in our pjs on the couch.)) My go-to costume has been a farmer a lot so, maybe that?
@justkeeptrying I’m glad you got some kicks and I can’t wait for a good Anatomy Scan tomorrow.
Any appointments coming up? Next Monday is my anatomy scan. I'm with you @justkeeptrying , I'm so excited and nervous.
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here) For a good while I had been fine, but now I'm feeling little pokes and jabs I have noticed that I start to panic when baby is quiet. So far it seems like baby likes the car ride home from work and when I relax on the couch, but since it's still too early to feel it consistently I am quick to worry and want to break the Doppler out...
GTKY: What was your best/favourite Halloween costume as a child? My favorite costume when I was little was a butterfly costume my dad made me. He had made a set of beautiful wings and an antennae. They were so pretty, and I was quite upset when I ruined them after a couple Halloweens.

Any appointments coming up? weekly Makena shot tomorrow...but that's it for a while
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here) It's November - Mars birthday month and I am trying to stop obsessing about his death day and focus on his birth day because truth be told - his birth was the most profound, hardest and longest of all three of my births, so grateful for that experience with him. As for Nova - I don't feel her much at all. I think this anterior placenta is even worse than mine with Zane's as I feel less movement in this pregnancy than any of my others... however I am grateful for this anterior placenta because it means I no longer have placenta previa
GTKY: What was your best/favourite Halloween costume as a child? WONDER WOMAN at age 4 - 1980. It was one of those (now creepy) plastic costumes you wore over your clothes (I still remember the way they smelled) with the plastic mask secured with a thin elastic band. I have pics of me in it that look hella creepy, but I thought I looked super cool at the time.
@mdfarmchick jealous of your kicks - hope to feel more once I get to 22 weeks like you!
Even tho we anticipated having our little Marsbar for his first Halloween this year, its my kids favorite holiday so Jose and I rallied and ended up having a good time. This is the first year in this home and we got SO MANY trick or treaters we ran out of candy 2x!!! Had some friends over for Vance and went out with a big group - while my 14 year old wanted nothing to do with us and was out with his friends til curfew. Hope everyone else had a nice evening... even if were just home in your PJs (@mdfarmchick)

@SoraLk try not to worry too much, I didn’t have consistent movement every day until this week. Good luck with your Anatomy Scan on Monday. Keep us posted.
@senora76 I know this is going to be a hard month but I love that you are starting it out focused on the positive—his birth. And I’m really glad you had a wonderful Halloween with your family! Like I mentioned to others, I haven’t had anything even daily until the past few days, so try to not worry. I think this LO is more active than his brother was because now that he’s been kicking me for a few days in a row, I’m noticing it at night when I wake up to go the the bathroom. That’s a new one this early. Never fear, these LO’s will just keep growing and kicking away. Hugs.
Any appointments coming up? Nothing until my glucose test the week before Thanksgiving.
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here) Recently, I'm doing really well! In the past week, I've started to feel baby girl kick definitively and consistently, and it is such a nice and reassuring thing. Because it's so new to me, it's still a little surprising, and that much more awesome! I was not enjoying grading my students' papers this afternoon, but then the kicks started flowing.
GTKY: What was your best/favourite Halloween costume as a child? Baby Spice - no explanation needed!
@mdfarmchick Thank you, that really does help, and I'll certainly post about the anatomy scan on Monday.

How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here) I’ll let you know after today’s ultrasounds
GTKY: What was your best/favourite Halloween costume as a child?my mom did a homemade Zazoo (the bird from the lion king, we all wore it at least once it was pretty amazing. Now I’m wondering if I can find a pic bahaha)
Thanks guys. A/S went well I think, I gave the guy my background so he talked me through all two hours of the scan. Every measurement he took, he told me what he was measuring. My belly is still aching from it and in 40 minutes I’ve got the echo. Everyone keeps telling me gown long it will be. Yeeesh I’m fidgety already. Saving grace being that they will follow up with results immediately after.
@syssa-o I am noticing I am getting the kid gloves approach this time around too which I am grateful for... I know I also have other strikes against me like being over 40 and a prior pre-term birth... but the same was the case when I was expecting Mars and I was not seen by an MFM the entire time, nor did I have a dr perform the MFM scans and not a tech. The MFM took over an hour for the NT as well as A/S and described every thing in such detail... it was actually a little over the top, even for me, but I'm relieved they are not messing around. Good luck at the echo

How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)
I’m good. Still dealing with what I assume is SPD. I THINK baby may have turned and is no longer transverse. Noticing more kicks and jabs to my ribs rather than hands tickling one side of my abdomen and feet kicking the other. Back pain is kicking in which is about right. It was terrible by 32 weeks with DS and 28 with DD. So kind of makes sense it’s starting sooner and sooner. I find if I rest every once and awhile rather than constantly go go go, I feel a little better in that aspect. I truly am grateful for these aches and pains though, it’s strange. I was obviously grateful in my previous pregnancies, but this time around I have a hard time complaining (except on TB) because these aches are bringing me something worth every minute of any misery I may experience.
GTKY: What was your best/favourite Halloween costume as a child? A devil when I was 4. Because I was a devil child. HA!
I haven't been on much, but I hope everyone is doing well!
How far along are you? 21+ days
Any appointments coming up? I think Tuesday, regular OB appt
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)
So I was doing ok, then I got an update on an old friend from 2IF that is struggling with a possible 2nd tri lost and that really hit me hard. Just a lot of anxiety lately. I'm thankful he is kicking regularly now so I know he is ok, but I still worry
GTKY: What was your best/favourite Halloween costume as a child? I don't remember, but I have a lot of fun picking costumes with the kids for Halloween

Just had my MFM appt today. It went great! US looked good. Baby looks normal. The doc thinks what they saw originally was just the galbladder at a weird angle.
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)
Doing well today. I can finally breath a little and sleep semi-normally.
GTKY: What was your best/favourite Halloween costume as a child? ...I always loved making fortune teller costumes lol.
Speaking of sleeping... I am a stomach sleeper and I am trying to sleep on my side with a body pillow, but keep waking up on my stomach... Never had a pregnancy this far along stomach sleeping and not sure how dangerous this is...anyone else?
Mama to: Zane William 9/17/03 Vance Xenophon 5/17/06 Mars Florencio 11/15/16 - 3/6/17 Nova Marsela 3/14/18
@senora76 I have been sleeping with a pillow tucked under my belly to make me feel like I’m sleeping on my stomach for weeks. They say your body knows and will flip you if you are causing issues? He is still happily kicking away in there. I wouldn’t worry too much.
@senora76 I still sleep on my stomach... the second it gets uncomfortable I’m awake and turning over. I’ve done this through all pregnancies.... I feel like our bodies wouldn’t let us sleep through that much discomfort, ya know?
I think too many, but what do I know. 11/13, 11/15, 11/27, and a growth scan 11/28
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)
It's been hectic and I didn't even get a chance to thank everyone who welcomed me and encouraged me the last time I decided to post. I'll say it now and how appreciated it is to know there's others that sympathize.
I just got over a cold which has had me feeling more tired than usual. Also, during the weekend my father suffered a small heart attack. During this upheaval didn't help that one of my brothers started a big argument with my mom despite all the worries with my dad. Thankfully he's home and getting some rest. Meanwhile yesterday I had an appointment. Everything seems to going ok, but every time I go I am reminded that I'm high risk. "You're so high risk you are in your own stratosphere." Verbatim...you can only imagine how that makes me feel. So, at this point (according to doctors the point which I'm at most risk), I have been referred to see MFM. Yup, anxiety and depression through the roof.
GTKY: What was your best/favourite Halloween costume as a child? I don't necessarily have a favorite but typically I chose to be a witch or a vampire.
@PixieMoxie If it brings you any comfort, I see an MFM who I love, he takes such good care of me and the extra monitoring albeit sometimes nerve wracking, is nice. It’s hard being in the high risk bracket, hugs.
@PixieMoxie second what @chasingroygbiv said. My MFM is super cautious and although hes not warm and fuzzy, he doesn’t make panic inducing comments... If you cant switch specialists than just have the mindset that you dont care what his opinion is, u just see him for the medical care. My MFM with Mars suggested I terminate my pregnancy based on the location of my SCH and placenta previa... she said “women have terminated for a lot less.” Real positive.
