How far along are you? 19+2

Any appointments coming up? Anatomy scan tomorrow. Super excited but very nervous.

How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): Pretty good actually. We passed another big milestone this week and I feel better after passing that. Had a momentary panic yesterday but then felt LO kicking away and that gave me a lot of reassurance.

GTKY: What was your best/favourite Halloween costume as a child? One year my best friend and I dressed up as Siamese twins. We already looked similar, so we put on her dad's huge winter coat over both of us. It was super warm (it's always freezing here on Halloween with lots of snow) and we got lots of compliments on our creativity. And it cost nothing! Lol!!

@SoraLk try not to worry too much, I didn’t have consistent movement every day until this week. Good luck with your Anatomy Scan on Monday. Keep us posted.

@senora76 I know this is going to be a hard month but I love that you are starting it out focused on the positive—his birth. And I’m really glad you had a wonderful Halloween with your family! Like I mentioned to others, I haven’t had anything even daily until the past few days, so try to not worry. I think this LO is more active than his brother was because now that he’s been kicking me for a few days in a row, I’m noticing it at night when I wake up to go the the bathroom. That’s a new one this early. Never fear, these LO’s will just keep growing and kicking away. Hugs.

How far along are you?  21 weeks, 6 days

Any appointments coming up?  Nothing until my glucose test the week before Thanksgiving.

How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)  Recently, I'm doing really well!  In the past week, I've started to feel baby girl kick definitively and consistently, and it is such a nice and reassuring thing.  Because it's so new to me, it's still a little surprising, and that much more awesome!  I was not enjoying grading my students' papers this afternoon, but then the kicks started flowing.

GTKY: What was your best/favourite Halloween costume as a child?  Baby Spice - no explanation needed!

@mdfarmchick Thank you, that really does help, and I'll certainly post about the anatomy scan on Monday. :)

@syssa-o I am noticing I am getting the kid gloves approach this time around too which I am grateful for... I know I also have other strikes against me like being over 40 and a prior pre-term birth... but the same was the case when I was expecting Mars and I was not seen by an MFM the entire time, nor did I have a dr perform the MFM scans and not a tech.  The MFM took over an hour for the NT as well as A/S and described every thing in such detail... it was actually a little over the top, even for me, but I'm relieved they are not messing around.  Good luck at the echo :)

    @kalawa thats great news!

Speaking of sleeping... I am a stomach sleeper and I am trying to sleep on my side with a body pillow, but keep waking up on my stomach... Never had a pregnancy this far along stomach sleeping and not sure how dangerous this is...anyone else?

@senora76 I have been sleeping with a pillow tucked under my belly to make me feel like I’m sleeping on my stomach for weeks. They say your body knows and will flip you if you are causing issues? He is still happily kicking away in there. I wouldn’t worry too much.

@senora76 I still sleep on my stomach... the second it gets uncomfortable I’m awake and turning over. I’ve done this through all pregnancies.... I feel like our bodies wouldn’t let us sleep through that much discomfort, ya know?

@syssa-o and @mdfarmchick thanks!  I guess its okay then! I love sleeping on my stomach!

As of today 23w on the dot

    Any appointments coming up?
    I think too many, but what do I know. 11/13, 11/15, 11/27, and a growth scan 11/28

How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)
It's been hectic and I didn't even get a chance to thank everyone who welcomed me and encouraged me the last time I decided to post. I'll say it now and how appreciated it is to know there's others that sympathize.

I just got over a cold which has had me feeling more tired than usual. Also, during the weekend my father suffered a small heart attack. During this upheaval didn't help that one of my brothers started a big argument with my mom despite all the worries with my dad. Thankfully he's home and getting some rest. Meanwhile yesterday I had an appointment. Everything seems to going ok, but every time I go I am reminded that I'm high risk. "You're so high risk you are in your own stratosphere." Verbatim...you can only imagine how that makes me feel. So, at this point (according to doctors the point which I'm at most risk), I have been referred to see MFM. Yup, anxiety and depression through the roof.

GTKY: What was your best/favourite Halloween costume as a child? I don't necessarily have a favorite but typically I chose to be a witch or a vampire.

@PixieMoxie - I can't believe how insensitive the stratosphere comment was. Sending strength and hope and good thoughts your way.

@PixieMoxie  If it brings you any comfort, I see an MFM who I love, he takes such good care of me and the extra monitoring albeit sometimes nerve wracking, is nice. It’s hard being in the high risk bracket, hugs.

@PixieMoxie second what @chasingroygbiv said.  My MFM is super cautious and although hes not warm and fuzzy, he doesn’t make panic inducing comments... If you cant switch specialists than just have the mindset that you dont care what his opinion is, u just see him for the medical care.  My MFM with Mars suggested I terminate my pregnancy based on the location of my SCH and placenta previa... she said “women have terminated for a lot less.” Real positive.
