I know there was a little discussion yesterday about including some wording on the thread to hopefully limit discussion of BFPs. I didn't include any wording, but if anyone would like me to edit just let me know.
Month/Cycle: 10/11
CD/DPO: 22/6
Timing: good
R/R: I have so much work to do today! Also I really thought it was Friday today... Also I'm normally pretty good about not SS, but of course it started today. My gums bled when I brushed my teeth and it's obviously not because I am getting a cold... *eyeroll*
Testing: nope
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: After a stressful day, what's the first thing you do when you get home?
The first thing I do is give DH a hug and lay on the couch with the pups. Then I probably poor a glass of wine or grab a beer.

@MrsMiller8588 Oh no! I hate when I think it is a day later than what it is. Feels like the week just got stretched out. Hope that your work days goes quickly and that you get everything done.

GTKY: After a stressful day, what's the first thing you do when you get home? If DH is home then I always greet him first and catch up for a few minutes. Then I like to repack my gym bag, shower and put my ugly pants on and hit the sofa. That is when the real relaxation starts!
@mrsmiller8588 we posted the same answer to the GTKY at the same time!

Testing: Not yet! Planning on Monday, at the earliest.
R/R: It's my Friday this week! Yay! I'd say I'm going to be super productive today so I don't have to work at all this weekend, but it's after 9am and I haven't left for work.
CS/Q: So it turns out my temps are totally fine and I was just being a bit of an idiot. Here's the blatantly obvious reality I was missing: When you put a really cold thermometer in your mouth, it cools down the tissue it's touching and gives a lower reading. If you warm it up first you get a more accurate reading. Duh. I kept thinking it being cold didn't matter because it warmed up to take my temp. Sometimes I'm slow. So today's temp spike isn't really a spike, it's me rediscovering the laws of thermodynamics.
GTKY: After a stressful day, what's the first thing you do when you get home? Hug MH and pet the kitties.
@MrsMiller8588 I think we should all brainstorm more about language to use for the TWW, so leaving it off for now seems fine. @emmasemm It's getting cold here, and you're making me wish for a fireplace to snuggle in front of! Glad you and YH are having an awesome time in China! @nitnat007 +1 for ugly pants and snuggling on the sofa! I have a pair of polka dot fleece pants that are particularly good for that.
Edit to answer questions @nitnat007 we get home on Sunday. Loving it but I'll be pleased to be home after 2.5 weeks

I came out to play yesterday, but when I got here all of that nonsense was going on... @MrsMiller8588 I don't know that it is really necessary to add language, if one actually learns the culture of the board and reads the pinned posts and lurks then it would become apparent that this is not the place for those types of posts. Is it asking too much? I don't think so, but the board rules/culture change as the people on it change, so I may be in the minority on this. I hate when I think it is Friday and it isn't. My pandora pop up the other day said something like "you know the worst thing about Friday? when you realize it is only Wednesday." @kiwi2628 I love some mindless TV. @emmasemm I hope you're having a fabulous time on your trip @nitnat007 lol at the ugly pants. I have an old express sweatshirt that is legit from the early/mid 90s it is ugly and way too big and so comfortable. @darkstar42 glad you figured out the temp thing! I may have missed it, have you made any final decisions about your plan for next cycle (if there is a next cycle)?
Month/Cycle: 11/13

GTKY: After a stressful day, what's the first thing you do when you get home? I try to get to the gym if it has been a really stressful day, otherwise I let the dogs out and then sit in glorious silence for about 5 minutes. Sometimes a little bit of quiet goes a long way!

@Avrilmai Personally I agree that I don't think it should be necessary. It seems to be happening more frequently though, which no one likes. Depending on how tomorrows appointment goes I don't know how much longer I will stay on the dailies.

@Stargazer1lily Oh, I’ve been known to do some emotional
eating myself! Do you have any favorite comfort foods?
@coco2787 Forgive me if you’ve already said, but are you in
school (and for what?) or teaching school?
@Avrilmai@MrsMiller8588 My thought in suggesting an addition was just that this keeps
happening, and I hate that a lot of folks avoid the dailies because of it. Maybe we could just have a simple statement like, "please do not mention BFPs, indent lines, or evap lines."
@Avrilmai I still haven’t made a
decision about next cycle, but I’m leaning towards no IUI yet and trying to get
a second opinion from a different RE. I’m just not convinced that an IUI would
increase my chances at this point. What do you have going on this weekend? Fun
busy or work busy?
@Stargazer1lily +1 for emotional eater over here too! You are not alone girl. @kiwi2628 Mindless TV is a go to for me too. I need to find a new show to watch though. What is your go to atm? @coco2787 Studying or teaching? @Avrilmai Ugly pants are the best! They are always the most comfortable and once they come on, I am not leaving the house again that day! MH knows the clue now lol. I saw your post on the IF thread re protein. I workout a lot so I drink a fair amount of protein shakes and they are great on the go. If you can find one that you like, I add coconut milk to mine and it is like a milkshake. Otherwise as the other ladies mentioned beans and seeds etc are great too. @MrsMiller8588 GL for the appointment tomorrow. We will be thinking of you! Please let us know how things go. (hugs) @darkstar42 They are the best. I got them at Old Navy a few years ago and they are serious winners! lol
@nitnat007@darkstar42 studying occupational therapy, it's my last semester before fieldwork.

@Mrsmiller8588 Ugh, I wish it were Friday! Hope you get all your work accomplished! How was your drive yesterday? I'm right there with ya on the SSing and I'm only on DPO7 I have heartburn from the cup of black coffee I had this morning cause clearly I'm KTFU
@nitnat007 your "ugly" pants sound awesome Just out of curiousity, why;d you discard the temp from CD12?
@darkstar42 YAY! Hope you have a fun weekend I hear ya on the warm thermometer thing, I've been leaving mine under my pillow that way it's not as cold and it's easier to access.
@stargazer1lily good job getting the jog in Lol... emotional eater what's that? (as I shove Gardetto's in my mouth)

@lurvleybunchococonuts I ditched it because we had been drinking the night before. Got home around 2am and I barely got any sleep let alone 3 straight hours. I have left it in and taken it out and it does not change CH's. Ouch heartburn is no fun! Hope that goes away quickly. Maybe you can that OT aside for a nice treat for yourself? Splurge on something! You deserve it.
@ajsanders-2 Congrats to YH! Hope you have a great time celebrating.

@lurvleybunchococonuts 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda in a shot of water as hot as you can stand it. Down the hatch. Heartburn gone in a few minutes. You’ll be like bye Felicia. I had it bad Sunday. Yuck. I feel for you.
@darkstar42 I’m glad you learned something and that there is nothing wrong with your temps. Now you can get back to some normalcy at least until you find the next thing to obsess on. No judgment here

GTKY: After a stressful day, what's the first thing you do when you get home? DW and I both work from home so, typically after a stressful day at work we head out of the house.
@MrsMiller8588 - Not SS is so hard... But hopefully you don't have a cold!!
@emmasemm - Hope you're having SO much fun in Beijing!
@luckypandas I totally am right now and not because you gave me permission. OK I lied. It did help.
I got those little baby 4 pack bottles of Merlot. Did you say one? I’m almost done with one.
People think we become mothers when we give birth but the truth is we become mothers the moment we start calling our babies to us in our thoughts, dreams and prayers. Some paths are short and some are so long that you can easily forget where you were headed.

@avrilmai I use Revolution High Whey Chocolate. Largely due to the price we can get from our local store. Gold Standard and Jym would be my next pick. I stick to chocolate so I can throw in fruit or nut butter for a smoothie if I want to. Most places with give you samples though if you want to try a couple first before buying a big tub of it.
@luckypandas FX that this the one! I think your ritual of going camping is a fantastic idea. AFM it will be a quiet weekend. MH is away so it will be catching up on things around the house and quiet time. Enjoy camping!
@Avrilmai@nitnat007 Isopure is a good one too! Their Dutch chocolate flavor is delicious. It’s whey based as well, and low carb. I order it from Amazon. Stay away from Orgain, that stuff is gross!

My pandora pop up the other day said something like "you know the worst thing about Friday? when you realize it is only Wednesday."
@kiwi2628 I love some mindless TV.
@emmasemm I hope you're having a fabulous time on your trip
@nitnat007 lol at the ugly pants. I have an old express sweatshirt that is legit from the early/mid 90s it is ugly and way too big and so comfortable.

@nitnat007 Pink llama pants sound amazing! I’m jealous.
@Stargazer1lily Oh, I’ve been known to do some emotional eating myself! Do you have any favorite comfort foods?
@coco2787 Forgive me if you’ve already said, but are you in school (and for what?) or teaching school?
@Avrilmai @MrsMiller8588 My thought in suggesting an addition was just that this keeps happening, and I hate that a lot of folks avoid the dailies because of it. Maybe we could just have a simple statement like, "please do not mention BFPs, indent lines, or evap lines."@Avrilmai I still haven’t made a decision about next cycle, but I’m leaning towards no IUI yet and trying to get a second opinion from a different RE. I’m just not convinced that an IUI would increase my chances at this point. What do you have going on this weekend? Fun busy or work busy?
@kiwi2628 Mindless TV is a go to for me too. I need to find a new show to watch though. What is your go to atm?
@coco2787 Studying or teaching?
(hugs)
@darkstar42 They are the best. I got them at Old Navy a few years ago and they are serious winners! lol

@darkstar42 I’m glad you learned something and that there is nothing wrong with your temps. Now you can get back to some normalcy at least until you find the next thing to obsess on. No judgment here
Month/Cycle: 2
CD/DPO: 23/10dpiui
Timing: This again?
R/R: my Dad has been having visions of people who aren’t here anymore. It has been a really Idk what to call it experience getting to hold him and tell him that it’s OK to see what he’s seeing, that he isn’t alone and that there is nothing to be afraid of. Talk about a role reversal! But I feel so honored and blessed to get to do it.
Testing: 10/29
CS/Q: Can someone pullleaze tell me it’s OK to drink wine
GTKY: After a stressful day, what's the first thing you do when you get home?
Eat.

@luckypandas that’s nice that you and YH can get away and decompress for a bit. I’m keeping FX for you and hoping you enjoy camping this weekend!
@luckypandas FX that this the one! I think your ritual of going camping is a fantastic idea. AFM it will be a quiet weekend. MH is away so it will be catching up on things around the house and quiet time. Enjoy camping!
