No HP movies for me, but I LOVED reading the books...except #5, @doxiemoxie212, which drove me bonkers! I thought Harry was such an adolescent toolbag almost the whole time. I think #6 is my favorite, followed by #3.

@oneblessedmess I read the first 2 GoT books and then tried to watch the show and couldn’t get into it. Everything seems so much better in my head- and I agree with @Austenista, I can read violence, but have trouble watching. I’ve never tried the Walking Dead because I know I’ll hate it! DH loves it though!
@PatientlyWaiting10 tell me about it! I swear every Halloween since I had kids has been ice rain and/ or snow!! Yay Trick-or-Treating!
@LaceyBee522 I love smushing the strawberry and lemon together... mmm!!!
@fantasticmrsfox I have 2 girls and would love a third! I would obviously love a boy too, but I love being a girl mom- so I get what you’re saying!
My UO is **TW term for PGAL- I don’t like the term rainbow baby. I would never judge someone who liked it/found comfort in it/used it, and I know lots of people who do, but for me I don’t find it comforting at all. In fact it’s the opposite for me- it’s a constant reminder of my loss. For me, it automatically creates an association between the living child with the one I lost and I don’t want to be reminded of the loss whenever I see my baby. IDK, does that make sense? I mean, I’ll never forget my loss, but I don’t want to think about it whenever I look at the child I had after it either. End TW**
UO: I think birth announcements sent in the mail are ridiculous if your baby is already blasted all over Facebook. Extra ridiculous if you use a picture (or one very similar) that was already posted on social media. I guess they are meant for older generations to enjoy? When I receive one, it sits on the counter for a day or 2 and ends up in the trash.
@buffalove1211 This makes me feel good, because sometimes I feel like a crappy mother for never sending out a birth announcement for our first. (Dude was all over FB a few days after birth.) I will pretend that everyone I know feels the same way as you, and revel in the fact that my laziness actually makes me a great mother. HA.

@buffalove1211 You better believe it I sent out a birth announcement to almost everyone! I love doing them! I am a photographer/designer on the side though so I enjoy designing it. And I used pictures that weren't on/have never been on FB.

"Dear Lord, I would have loved to have held my babies on my lap & tell them about you, but since I didn't get the chance, would you please hold them on your lap & tell them about me?" All are welcome!
I love giving and receiving mail, so I will definitely send out birth announcements. I don't like Facebook much and will likely start a separate IG account for just baby pics, so I don't think anyone will really know I was pregnant or had a baby without sending those out.
Edited to add: This is probably an UO, but I don't want my kids to take over my own personal social media. I am always sort of weirded out when my adult friends have their baby or child as their own profile picture.
I love birth announcements! With our first we sent to EVERYONE, but our second we only sent to family and really close friends- we’ll do the same this time around.
@RachelH77 Agreed, Starbucks coffee is not the best (burnt tasting)
Your post also reminded me of another UO. I live for coffee and love most things pumpkin (baked goods, pie, flavored cereals, as a base for savory soups and chilis) but I can't stand PSLs...it boggles my mind that I don't like the taste
I skip birth announcements, but I do make a point of sending out annual Christmas cards with a family photo and also birthday party invites with current pictures of the birthday child. Everyone is either on Facebook or will see the baby in person soon enough.
And I refuse to feel guilty about not sending out announcements shortly after birth when I'm in the middle of being a tired cranky sleepless mom of a newborn.

@emjeve I’m totally lurking because UO Thursday’s are my fave day to lurk... ANYWAY, *tw* I wholeheartedly agree with your feelings on rainbow baby. We lost our daughter @ 8 days and we’re having twins now. I don’t get it. Like I love my daughter so GD much that it hurts but I would never want my new babes to be associated with the loss of our daughter. It seems.... morbid in a way? And every. single. person. refers to these as our rainbow babies. Noooope.
Totally had to chirp in because you’re the first person I’ve ever seen echo those thoughts of mine!
My UO is that I hate hate hate going to the OBGYN and I can’t wait until I have my ultrasound next week so I can transfer out and to a midwifery practice again.
@mytinc I think I sent our out around two months...so yeah, kind of pointless, but I still love it. And I know my parents, ILs, grandparents all appreciate that kind of thing too. And our relatives who live a distance from us who don't have FB and we don't see often in person.

@emjeve ~ I get that the rainbow baby is supposed to represent the light at the end of the dark tunnel of loss. But I also get not wanting to think about that loss every time you look at your new baby.
• Orange Starbursts are my favorite, then strawberry.
• I hate all big name doughnuts.
My OU: Pizza Hut is my favorite chain restaurant of all time. Their food gives me terrible heart burn, even when not pregnant. But I love it so much. (not sure how unpopular this is among you all, but it is very unpopular in my family)
My UO is “busy” people. I hate when people say they are too busy for things that should be a priority, such as calling their grandchildren, going to the doctor, and taking care of their health. To me, being “too busy” just means not a priority. If people were honest and tell me they are drowning in life and asking for help or extra patience-I can take that!
@bitzyg I hate when people complain about being too busy but everything they are busy with is because they said yes. If you don't want to be too busy then don't say yes when someone asks you to do something.

I feel conflicted on the Rainbow baby thing. TW* The child I had after stillbirth was NOT a rainbow baby and the term doesn’t sit right after that type of loss. But this one after my mc kind of feels like a rainbow baby...somehow? Like they don’t feel like two separate babies as much or something totally unscientific like that. *end TW*
@napqueen I like Pizza Hut breadsticks. And that cheesy bites crust they used to have!! YUM!!!!
