This is a safe place for more detailed support in mental health, struggles, and successes. Whereas general stress and issues are often discussed in R/R of dailies, this place is for a more focused discussion of the impact of mental health. Members are encouraged to use thoughtfulness and depth to examine feelings, barriers, and useful supports.
This post can be replied to at any time during the month. Not limited to those with a mental health diagnosis, but please be sensitive to others. We will attempt to be as flame free as possible! Hi Based off precious discussions of this thread, I reworded the general description. If you have any feedback, or would like changes, let’s talk about it!
Most importantly, I added a few links for suicide lifeline resources. I know we have more than Canadians and Americans, so if you’re elsewhere and want your country’s in there, let me know and it can be added! With that in mind, if you call one of these hotlines, they are there to talk to you and support you. Only in an extremely emergent situation would they notify local authorities that you need immediate attention. Suicidal thoughts look very different in everyone. The US hotlines are for individuals who are seriously struggling with hopelessness, worthlessness, isolation, and/or guilt. This may mean the person actively wants to seek out harming herself, or may have thoughts about needing the pain to end without wanting to actively take measures to end her own life.
TL;DR: Whomever you are, where ever you are, whatever has happened, you are ALWAYS worth choosing life.
