Congratulations on the birth of your daughter! Speedy recovery to you both and I hope to see updates as she grows! Also, I donated lots of breast milk to the milk bank at the hospital and I was always hopeful that it went to the babies that needed it most. If you decide to pursue that form of feeding, just know it came from moms like me with the best of intentions. I was always sure to be extra careful with the milk I pumped intending to donate.
Congratulations for your baby! I will keep you in my thoughts and envision a calm stay at the NICU and continued and increasing health for both of you.
@ottergirl81 Thanks so much for the picture! Precious! I had a BFF have a baby really early, not a lot over a pound and today he's a healthy 6 year old! Thank God for awesome NICUs!
Hugs and congrats to you and your little one. A friend of mine had a sudden and unexpected delivery at 25 weeks exactly... and he just posted on FB yesterday, that she was healthy and headed home now--about 18 weeks later. She looks so healthy and I hope the same for you and your LO!
@ottergirl81 she looks wonderful for her age! I wouldn't have guessed she was that small from the photo. I'm so happy for you both. I've had several friends who had very young preemies and they did not look nearly as healthy as Amelia does, and they are doing well now.
Congratulations! I will be praying for you both in the days and weeks ahead for a smooth recovery for you & continued positive growth & development for sweet girl. I am the proud Aunt of our family's "Miracle Maggie" - same gestation and 1lb. 1oz. - your story has touched my heart. I look forward to her beautiful updates.
Hi everyone! Update on Amelia; she is doing super well! Held her for the first time this past Monday (she no longer has as many cords coming out of her). She opens her eyes now and looked at DH and I for the first time the other night. She is so strong, I am one very pround momma. She also has a pretty loud cry, and cute sqweeky noises. I will try to post another photo soon
@ottergirl81 I am so happy you both got to hold her! I love hearing that she opened her eyes and is making little (and big) noises. Thank you so much for updating us. I will keep thinking about and rooting for your family!
@ottergirl81 this makes my heart so happy. I am so glad to hear that she is doing so well and even opened her eyes for you! Thank you for the update. You have been on my mind lots lately!!
