Re: TWW Friday 9/22
So in the hope of getting this started a bit earlier today than yesterday ;-)
Month/Cycle: 30/29
CD/DPO: 15/2
Timing: Um, I guess IVF egg retrieval and in vitro fertilization counts as good timing :-)
Testing: Officially I will have my beta on 6th October (so really 2 weeks from today), but I will start testing tomorrow morning so I know when the HCG from the trigger shot has left my body, then I will know that I can trust other tests later
Typical LP Length: 14-16
Rant/Rave: I will put this in a spoiler just in case. If anyone is uncomfortable with me posting whilst I am in TWW please send me a pm. ***TW***
CS/Q: Nope
GTKY: If you could study anything at university/college without any time or financial restrictions, what would it be and why?
I actually had a "backup" place at uni to study genetics 20 years ago... with what we are going through right now, I have learnt that the whole reproductive and genetics science is still in so many ways in it's infancy compared to lots of other scientific areas and there would be lots of opportunities to contribute to future discoveries and treatments. So if I didn't need to go to work to earn money, this is what I would go and study now.

Please keep me posted. Or we can PM if you don't want to add other updates in the dailies. Rooting for you
Month/Cycle: I have no idea how to answer this. I swear I searched through the message board and couldn't figure it out. I have been trying for like 1-3 months ish.
CD/DPO: 9DPO.
Timing: ooh I know this one. I think -7, -2, -1
Testing: I'm using ovulation strips, no temp taking (will try that maybe next month?)
Typical LP Length: 13-15 or 16 I think
Rant/Rave: I'm so tired. I have been on-call for my job for the last 10 days and I will be at work till after 7 today. There is not enough coffee in the world and I want to lay down. Also, its 90 degrees and we don't have A/C. I'm going to cry.
CS/Q: Mmm this one isn't in the mega list of acronyms and I'm too lazy to look at the TWW thread from yesterday.
GTKY: If you could study anything at university/college without any time or financial restrictions, what would it be and why? Hm, Right now I think I want to study how to be a beach bum or independently wealthy. Not sure that counts. I actually really like my job but I am le tired.
@emmasemm OMG I am so excited for you!! YAY! FX so hard. Please give us updates. All the positive vibes your way.
Welcome @mygoodlucycat!
OK so Month/Cycle is how many months you have been TTGP for, and cycle is how many cycles. Many of the ladies on here don't have the regular 28 day cycle so that helps to distinguish a bit. Also some people take time off and then don't count it in one or the other.
Timing is normally counted between -5 and +1, as sperm can normally live up to a maximum of 5 days in the woman's body by which time they need to meet and egg and fertilize it.
Testing refers to HPTs (home pregnancy tests) normally - Ovulation tests of all kinds are normally discussed in the WTO thread.
CS/Q means "Chart Stalk" or Questions - so if you are charting and have questions about your chart you can post it (in a spoiler is best) and ask. Or if you're not sure about something you can ask here. If you want to try to reach more people you can use the weekly "Chart Stalk and Questions" thread. Then your answer doesn't get lost amongst all the other TWW posts.
If in doubt, just ask or pm someone - we were all new here once :-)

@emmasemm You are most definitely welcome to post in TWW! And we expect updates
@mygoodlucycat welcome! Month/cycle is how many months and cycles you have been trying. CD is the cycle day you are on (CD1 is start of AF). Testing is when you plan to take a home pregnancy test, or if you have tested you can let us know you got a BFN so we can support each other. Note- we don't post positives in this thread.

Thank you!! Ok that makes sense. So if I've been trying for 3 months and have ovulated each time it would be 3/3?
Testing! Oh of course! I have been testing with BFN each time! It's still early and I have some symptoms but it is probably in my head.
CS/Q That's right - thank you! I do have a chart at home from my ovulation testing. Because I'm not doing temps I don't think it's relevant to TWW.
Thanks ya'll. I appreciate your patience.
Month/Cycle: 1/1
CD/DPO: 21/4
Timing: -4, -2, -1, O
Testing: Nope. I've told myself not until 9/30.
Typical LP Length: 14ish
Rant/Rave: It's Friday!
CS/Q: Nope, just hanging.
GTKY: If you could study anything at university/college without any time or financial restrictions, what would it be and why? Honestly, probably accounting. I've become really interested in personal finance and would love to help others (hence why I'm a social worker).
@mrstmoose one of my best friends from school went back to college about 5 years ago and studied accounting to do just that! I love how she is able to support people and give them the skills they need for life. They are in the U.K., and at least there it is still not normal to teach "managing personal finances" in school. My brother teaches maths for 11-18yos, and especially with his kids who won't make the grade, he focuses on maths skills for life instead and my friend goes into his school and runs special sessions.
@mygoodlucycat yep you would be 3/3
And most ladies here use Fertility Friend app/website for tracking, so you might want to check it out as then you can get the best advice from this experienced bunch

@emmasemm ~ I am new around here, but your update is exciting! FX and yes, keep updating J
@mygoodlucycat ~ The acronyms can be a little confusing at first, but you will get the hang of it! It looks like PPs (previous posters) answered your questions, so I wont go through it again. But I did want to say hi and welcome! I am new around here too
@mrstmoose ~ we are cycle buddies in this TWW! FX for you
Month/Cycle: 2 (1 AL)
CD/DPO: 14/4 (If we believe FF, but I think its 3DPO)
Timing: If we go with FF, we hit O. If we go by what I think is right, we hit -1
Testing: FF says to chill until 10/1. But that wont be happening! 9/28 is my wedding anniversary and that is 10 (or 9)dpo, so I will probably be testing then, even though I know I shouldn't
Typical LP Length: 12 days
Rant/Rave: I'm excited its Friday! We have friends coming into town this weekend to help us redo our front yard. and my ILs will be coming into town too to watch DS so I can focus on the front yard. So I am excited about that.
CS/Q: I got CHs yesterday for O on CD10. I was hoping this morning's temp would change it to CD11, which is when I think it was, but it didn't. I would attach my chart, but I think that is supposed to be done in a spoiler and I cant see where to/how to do that. Either way, our timing was ok, so I am hopeful. I just don't like when I don't agree with FF. Today I want to tell it that its drunk and it needs to go home. Oh well.
*UPDATE* Chart in spoiler ~ Thank you for your help @zamora_spin
@BurlapandLace You don't need to put your chart in a spoiler. People just tend to do it because charts sometimes are big and take up a lot of space on the page. If you want a second opinion go ahead and post here or in the chart stalk thread. Btw, again, you don't need to use a spoiler, but if you do the way you create a spoiler box is you hit that little paragraph symbol and select "Spoiler" and then put whatever you want in there. It can sometimes get tricky on mobile though.
It's Friday!!!
Month/Cycle: 3/3
CD/DPO: 17/4
Timing: Unsure?
Testing: None yet, trying to wait it out until 9/30
Typical LP Length: 12 days
Rant/Rave: Had to drop my dog off this morning to have a small growth/tumor (benign) removed off her inner eyelid. Send positive thoughts!
CS/Q: Just using an app to chart.
GTKY: If you could study anything at university/college without any time or financial restrictions, what would it be and why?
Definitely Law. Wish I had gone that route when I graduated college, and also wish I can go back and tell my 22 year old self to do it.
I also was wondering if anyone here on this thread has tried the Ava bracelet?
Month/Cycle: 3/2
CD/DPO: 32/10
Timing: -1, -4
Testing: Waiting to see if my period comes 9/24, then testing on 9/25 if no period.
Typical LP Length: 12 days
Rant/Rave: Even though we had much better timed and executed sex I just don't feel like it worked this time. Last cycle I was champing at the bit to take a test, but this time I just don't feel like POAS unless I'm late.
CS/Q: None.
GTKY: If you could study anything at university/college without any time or financial restrictions, what would it be and why? It would be a toss up. I'd love to get my Ph.D. in Leadership Studies because that's what my M.S. is in. But I've always been fascinated by real estate and criminology, so I'd have to decide between getting my real estate license or going to law school/getting a degree in criminal justice. Or maybe I could combine the two and investigate murders and then put the murder houses up on the market.

@lm0729 fx for your dog today
If you search you will find a couple of threads on Ava. I have it and have been using it for more than a year, have to say no problems and made me feel secure with my temping. But you can't really use it fully standalone until they deliver the update of the app to include more features.
@mls6212 thanks and I really lol'd at the investigating murders and then putting the murderers houses on the market hehe

Fav Quote: The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return
This is my first time here, so hello everyone.
Month/Cycle: 2/1 (last cycle was NTNP)
CD/DPO: CD16, 4DPO (I think)
Timing: -4, -2, -1, 1, 3... I am sort of guessing with the days because I wasn't temping, I just normally track my cycles and CM
Testing: Going to try not to until 9/30 but really shouldn't until 10/6.. ugh
Typical LP Length: I'm going to be honest, still haven't figured this one out.
Rant/Rave: My rant would be that I wish I more more exciting/interesting things going on in my life right now so that I wasn't so fixated on this (hence being on The Bump!). My rave would be that this community seems really supportive and lovely.
CS/Q: Nope
GTKY: If you could study anything at university/college without any time or financial restrictions, what would it be and why?
History! I studied public health and have had public health type of jobs, but really I studied the history of public health (I worked with a history of science professor on my thesis). If money or jobs didn't matter, I would definitely go study history. Probably something super esoteric like culinary traditions of pre-columbian Peru, or something that would give me the need to conduct research in a castle or ancient ruin.
CD/DPO: 30/13
Timing: -4, -1, +1
Testing: 3 clear negatives yesterday, Tuesday and Monday. Didn't want to see another neg this morning so I didn't test. AF is due today. If by chance she doesn't show, I'll test again tomorrow.
Typical LP Length: 12-ish?
Rant/Rave: Got excited to make my own PSL latte at home from a recipe on Pinterest and it was TERRIBLE. Blech, I might be totally over the whole PSL thing now, since Sbux are too sweet and I can't seem to replicate anything that is decent and less sweet at home. I guess I will just have to start making baked goods for a decent fall pumpkin fix.

GTKY: If you could study anything at university/college without any time or financial restrictions, what would it be and why? I would definitely take just a ton of travel-abroad classes -art and history classes abroad would be awesome. I'd also really like to learn more foreign languages and learn to code.

@BurlapandLace - nice that your friends are coming to help with redoing your yard! It's great to have friends willing to help with stuff like that!
@lm0729 i hope your doggie's procedure goes well. I have not tried the Ava bracelet, but I think someone did a review of it in an earlier thread on here - you might try searching the forum for it.

CD/DPO: 28/15
Timing:0
Testing: af due any minute
Typical LP Length: 14-16
Rant/Rave: The last couple days of work haven't been so bad.
GTKY: If you could study anything at university/college without any time or financial restrictions, what would it be and why?
Um.... not sure. My brain hurts
CD/DPO: Not too sure actually! I wanna say 12DPO at least.
Timing: Not too sure about that either.
Testing: SOON! In the next few days probably.
Typical LP Length: it varies
Rant/Rave: I have quite a few symtpoms. The most baffling thing is that my new bras are suddenly not holding me in properly anymore, even though I have LOST weight since buying them (when they fit perfectly. So if anything they should be too big now, not too small.) Been having headaches since Saturday nearly 2 weeks ago and nothing helps them. Had possible IB last week. Just making myself hold out a little longer.
CS/Q: None
GTKY: If you could study anything at university/college without any time or financial restrictions, what would it be and why? Creative Writing or Psychology. I love both subjects, always have.
CD/DPO: 27/7ish (ugh these long cycles)
Timing: Meh
Testing: Nope, benched
Typical LP Length: 12ish
Rant/Rave: Rant: computer system went down at work. Mass chaos ensued. Rave: It's Friday and I still got out on time! Looking forward to a weekend of doing whatever the heck I feel like, not too many plans.
CS/Q: Nothing to stalk here.
GTKY: If you could study anything at university/college without any time or financial restrictions, what would it be and why?
I would go to school to be an animator. When I was little, I dreamed of working for Disney and getting to draw and paint every day!
CD/DPO: CD 45/ 17 DPO
Timing: -3, -1 and 0
Testing: Tested at 15 dpo with fmu and received a bfn
Typical LP Length: Unsure.
Rant/Rave: Thank God for the "You Aren't Pregnant. Calm Down. (the help thread)" for keeping me sane. I am trying to remain positive. Anyone have any awesome plans this weekend?
CS/Q:
GTKY: If you could study anything at university/college without any time or financial restrictions, what would it be and why? Cognitive neuroscience, it is interesting how and why the human mind thinks like it does.
@BurlapandLace I could see how you would think you may have O'd on the day after FF thinks you did. You got good timing either way!
eta: wasn't done posting!
@MLS6212 I love that idea! I'd be your business partner!
Month/Cycle: 1/1
CD/DPO: 24/4
Timing: -5, -2, -1, 0
Testing: Sept 30
Typical LP Length: I think 10 or 11 days
Rant/Rave: It's been a hectic week at work. I just want to shut off for a full 24 hours
CS/Q: Nope
GTKY: If you could study anything at university/college without any time or financial restrictions, what would it be and why?
I love what I do, but if I were to change careers or go back in time something in the medical field or I'd get my PHD so I could become a college professor in my field.

Masters in Healthcare Administration - I love working in healthcare and really want a chance to continue growing and advancing.
@gimmiethebump I am with you on the you aren't pregnant thread, that place makes me laugh and reminds me we are walking this journey together.
