Any thoughts about this cycle?  I don't think we hit very well. I'm not temping, so I can't be 100% sure, but I think we got 1 day in. 

Any questions? How much individual play is too much? E plays by herself over 90% of the time, and is quite content.

Any thoughts about this cycle? I'm getting frustrated. TW my daughter was a one time only deal and our first month of trying now we got pregnant, but ended in a chemical. (End TW) Last month my period showed up before I could test. I thought we were lucky & fertile but now I'm seeing that being old sucks even more. 

Any questions? How do I get my daughter to go #2 on toilet? She's done it before, but now she refuses. It's been almost 5 months since the last time she pooped on the toilet. I'm beyond frustrated.

@princesslockness what is E doing when playing? I think the independent play is good, but I would only get concerned as time went on if there was avoidant eye contact or a lack of interest in others.

Any thoughts about this cycle? I'll know this week. Unlikely but I'm strangely preoccupied about it. I was very relaxed last time and never freaked about testing or ss. I'm having to talk myself out of testing and such. It's strange for me.

GTKY: Are you a Pumpkin Spice fan? Yes. Pumpkin all the things - especially bread related items! I'm more excited about pumpkin, than pumpkin spice, but I like it too. 

Eta: @princesslockness Is she annoyed when her solo play is interrupted? Or is she just content on her own? It could be she's just more introverted and independent, which wouldn't be terrible. I think as long as she's capable of playing with others and has no issues interacting, you're good. You might have to encourage socializing later, but no big deal

GTKY: Are you a Pumpkin Spice fan? I'm a massive Spice Girls fan and I don't recall there ever being a Pumpkin Spice. But no, no I am not.

@princesslockness At first I was confused by your question because I thought it was supposed to be TTC related. So I was like, "Well, if you want to get pregnant, individual play won't work!" But when it comes to your DD, I don't think playing by herself is necessarily a bad thing. Along the lines of what others have asked, I think the more telling thing would be how she reacts to others trying to play with her. Also, I think it depends on how often she's around children other than her sibling. If she went to a daycare and ignored all the other kids I'd want to find out why. Was someone mean to her? Does someone keep taking her toys?

@princesslockness - I personally don't think there is anything wrong with it. I think encouraging individual play and creativity is important so they aren't always relying on parents or other people to constantly entertain them. We work on H playing by herself for a little bit each night and especially over the weekends. I feel like a bad parent; but I know it's good for her too.

@jnmiller324 - My LO is only 16 months so I'm no help, but sending positive vibes. I can only imagine how frustrating that is.

@MLS6212 - I literally LOL'd with your GTKY. Ditto with being a Spice Girls fan!

Any thoughts about this cycle? I really thought yesterday was O but my temp didn't spike today. If it was yesterday, our timing was -3, -1, and O. If it's today, then -2, -1, and *maybe* O (with today being a Monday, HIO could be hit or miss). I really thought I wouldn't be looking at my chart like a maniac but today, guess what I was doing? Yep....

Any questions? DD is really enjoying trying to escape her highchair. It seems that she wants to sit AT the table with us instead of at the END of the table (so we have a 4 person table and DH and I sit across from each other and she sits at the edge facing us). Does anyone have a highchair that sits in the regular chair that they like? We are going to try the bumbo tonight before purchasing it. But I'm really tired of the mid-meal meltdowns, throwing food and attempting to climb out of the chair.

Toddlers are fun, yo.

GTKY: Are you a Pumpkin Spice fan?  yes and no. I'll have one but then I actually prefer the salted caramel mocha or putting pumpkin spice creamer in my coffee that I make at home.

Hi! Jumping in, I introed on the newbie thread a couple days ago. It's been a while since I was active here!

Any thoughts about this cycle? - starting to spot today so CD1-ish. I was on the mini pill up until a week and a bit ago when I quit taking it with a week or so left in the pack. We're NTNP for at least the first 6m so I'm tracking with FF but not temping or using OPKs. Also just weaning off the pump (I've exclusively pumped for the last year...I can't believe I made it!) so I assume things might be wonky as I settle into a new normal.

No, I think PSL at Starbucks are gross.  I can occasionally tolerate a pumpkin mocha coffee from Dunkin.

@princesslockness , 1 day is better than no days.  With my 2nd pregnancy, we got pregnant with one try in almost an entire month, between us and DD being sick.  And try not to stress alone play.  My DAD is 6 and has never played alone once in her life.  DS on the other hand ignored us for the first 2 years of his life.

@ mrstmoose I don't have a recommendation for a good chair high chair, but a recommendation against one.  

we had the Fisher Price ones and they ruined our chairs.  
@ comealongponds, that is awesome about EP for a year!  My body never responded to a pump, but I tried and tried and I know it is hard!

@princesslockness I think individual play is super important! Just be sure she's social as well. Nothing wrong with independence. 

@jnmiller324 In the beginning of potty training we sat there and read books or watched potty songs/videos on YouTube. Maybe go back to that and doing potty time every 30 mins or so. Are you fairly aware of her body's cycle? I can somewhat predict when DD will poop - if you pay attention to that try and get her to the potty then.

@mrstmoose We used a booster seat that attached right to our regular chair. She loved it.

GTKY: Are you a Pumpkin Spice fan? I enjoy it, but I'm not obsessed with it. I actually look forward to the apple cider that becomes available in fall. 

@princesslockness does E engage with you in other ways? I wouldn't be too concerned yet, unless you notice her unwilling to engage. My LO plays by himself often, even when other children are around, but his pediatrician is not concerned. 

@jnmiller324 I'm sorry you are feeling frustrated. I can't really give you an advice, but I can validate your feels that this sucks. 

@mrstmoose we use the Chicco PocketSnack Booster Seat and it works great. I also like that we can take it with us if we are going to dinner at friends. 

@comealongponds welcome and congrats of EP for that long (I hated pumping and only did it if I had to, so I am very impressed.) Also I love your username.

Thanks ladies!!! E is always babbling to herself, chewing on stuff, moving here and there. She is just content to be alone, she is super excited to be held and makes great eye contact and smiles at you. My students adore 'flirting' with her as she always laughs and smiles. I guess she is just a loner.

@princesslockness DS is almost 3, he's been a very independent player since he was itty bitty. It's just his personality. He's more interactive and engaged now but still will do that for a short while and then goes away to play alone. I've always let him control the amount of interaction with play. He's starting to play with friends more but until recently it's still mostly parallel play. He gets along with others well

@jnmiller324 omg you stole my question about getting toddlers to go #2 on the potty! My 3-year-old has been potty training for a while and has been doing well, but those #2s are just soooo hard. Her daycare teachers have to watch her like a hawk; any time she goes off by herself they know she's about to poop in her pants. It's so annoying and I'm really tired of cleaning out dirty underwear. I've tried looking up answers but it seems like they may just not do it until they're ready. Oof. *TW* Also, really sorry to hear about your CP. I had one too at the beginning of August and it was really tough. By one-time only deal, did you mean you got pregnant the first time trying with your daughter? I got pregnant right away the first time too, so this TTC thing is getting really difficult, even though I'm only on my 4th month. Trying hard to just be patient. *end TW*
@princesslockness I agree with the others. As long as your DD still plays well with others occasionally, I don't think it's anything to worry about!
@Mylitta Totally get you...I'm really preoccupied by it too and trying so hard to be patient and unconcerned. Either way, I'll know in a few days, just like you...but that's easier said than done. I'm with you on the pumpkin spice thing too...give me all the pumpkin bread!!!!
@mrstmoose I'm going to contradict @holly321 by saying that we love the Fisher Price chair! We have this one. I put a thick towel underneath it and fold it up twice so it doesn't mess up the chair. We've had it on the chair for 3 years and the chair isn't damaged yet! 
@comealongponds Welcome! Great job on the EP! I EP'ed too for a year, but only for one kid! Good for you for taking the time to do that for a whole year.
@MrsBunz That's really stressful about this being your last cycle to get KU so that YH is home for the birth. FX so hard for you! Mine is not nearly as big of a deal, but we planned a vacation with my parents and my sister's family in Dec 2018, but the (future) baby will have to be 6 months to go on it...so this is my last cycle to get KU or else we have to reschedule the vacation plans! Won't be a big deal at all if we have to, but I already made my family postpone it more than a year because we wanted to TTC and were afraid of the Zika virus (trip is to the Caribbean). So I understand the stress (even though yours is admittedly a much huger deal than mine).

Any questions? What kinds of activities do you guys like to do around the house with your kids? I feel bad sometimes because we probably watch way too much TV, but whenever i try to do a craft with DD it only lasts a couple of minutes before she's done.

GTKY: Are you a Pumpkin Spice fan? I usually will just get one PSL during the season and that's enough (I'm not really a fan of Starbucks). I don't love them. I love pumpkin breads and desserts..don't really love pumpkin pie, but pumpkin roll is the best! Anyone else shop at Trader Joe's? I love Fall when they bring out all the pumpkin flavored stuff. Need to go back there to see if they have it in stock yet!

@kindbytealikat L has always played with other really well. He and the other 2yo at his in-home daycare play all day long. It's so interesting to see the differences littles.

My sister is currently trying to decide what they are going to do, because the want to try for #3 next year (her DD is 2 in January), but her SIL keeps suggesting places with Zika for a family spring break trip (they went last year because they weren't trying yet bet this coming one she's not sure what to do).

Any thoughts about this cycle? Not really. I'm pretty excited to see some fertile signs these past few days so I'm hoping to O soon. I think my vacation caused delayed O last cycle, so my fertile CM/CP didn't align with my O day. Hopefully this time around everything will be synced.

Any questions? Do any of you have older girls? My eldest came home talking about how she loves this boy and wants to kiss him. My DH about had a heartattack...lol. How did you navigate this part of their life? Like, I want her to know her feelings are valid, but I also want her to know that there is plenty of time for boys later in her life. I feel like she's too young for this! AH! I have no idea how to handle this...lol.

GTKY: Are you a Pumpkin Spice fan? No...Nope....Not even a little. If it's an artificial pumpkin spice combo then I find them too sweet. If it's real pumpkin stuff, like pumpkin breads, muffins, cake, etc then I love it! The fake stuff is just not appealing to me

@princesslockness I have always read that the more independent play they do, the better. It stims their imagination so much! So if it were me I would just enjoy it! Both of mine are velcro babies and HAVE to have me involved. I don't mind most of the time, but sometimes I wish they could play better alone. But like @jnmiller324 said, i would only be worried if their was lack of eye contact, or no social interactions at all

@jnmiller324 Just try to relax about the pooping one. A lot of kids get embarrassed by it, and struggle with going on the potty. Others are afraid of the splash aspect...3.5 yrs is still young. Mine wasn't 100% potty trained until just before her 4th birthday. Especially with your first it takes longer to potty train. Try a sticker chart, or m&ms when she goes potty, but have a special 'poop' reward. Mine got a snack size chocolate when she pooped and TWO stickers on her chart.

@mrstmoose We have a Graco one that straps to the chair. I think we got it for like $50? It's a bit too tall though to fit under the table edge though perfectly, and I find that many of them are. A Bumbo would probably be too tall as well. I would take measurements of your chair, then of the bumbo and see if it works well with your table first. Have you considered just letting her sit in a chair on her knees? DD1 was like that, and she ended up sitting at the table in a regular chair at about 17-18 months. We just made her get down any time she misbehaved, and she learned table etiquette pretty fast that way. I started by practicing how to get off the chair safely, and then how to not climb on the table. It helps if you let them sit at the table for all kinds of things....art work, sensory play, etc. This way they learn how they are supposed to behave a lot faster.  Good luck! Toddlers are a fun but tough time as this is when they start testing you so much. ((hugs)) It gets easier!

@offtoneverland Where are you crafting? I find that crafts on the floor last a lot longer as they can kind of come and go. They're so wiggly at that age that I think they have a hard time focusing. I also find having seperate crafts helps. So she is doing her own version of the craft, and i'm doing mine. If she sees me completely into it, she's more likely to stick with it. Don't feel guilty about the TV time. I know the "experts" say it's a bad thing, but seriously screens are everywhere, and it's impossible to avoid them in my opinion. I try to get mine involved by asking them questions about the show...about the characters...what she thinks will happen. It keeps her from zoning out, and makes me feel like i'm still getting her brain involved. I mean having to think about what just happened, and imagining what is going to happen are still life skills you know? Other times I just lay there and cuddle with her cause then at least she's getting my attention and love...and that's great too

@josie12367 You're the best! Thanks for your awesome advice both on the potty training front and crafting! Doing crafts on the floor sounds like a great idea. I'll give that a try. I do the same thing while we watch TV. I try to engage her and ask questions. I can tell she learns so much from TV, but I know a lot of people who think kids watching TV is totally wrong, so sometimes it makes me feel really guilty! But after a long day at work, TV is pretty much the only thing we can do to keep her occupied while we get dinner ready. 
I have no idea how to answer your question about you DD coming home saying she loves a boy! That's terrifying! I would say just try to have an open conversation about it so she knows it's normal, but try to encourage her to play with her friends and do her school work for now...? But I really have no idea! Good luck to you however you decide to handle it. 
@lalala2004 Glad to hear you're starting to feel a bit more at peace now. I hope it continues for you. And pumpkin spice Cheerios? Yes please! I need to look for those...
@MrsBunz My OBGYN said not to go anywhere near zika zones while ttc. If I had to go, he said to hold of ttc for 6 months afterwards because the virus can live in sperm for up to 6 months, even if the man has no symptoms. Hopefully they can figure out a spring break trip to somewhere without zika!

@offtoneverland No problem! I took us four years to get her potty trained. I have loads of advice on that front...Lol. And yes, the boy thing is terrifying. I have encouraged her to write her feelings in a journal, and to come to me whenever she feels like she needs to talk, but dang...I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing. I was hoping for another five years at least! Good thing this boy is in Texas...(We just moved overseas in January)

@josie12367 Since you said you have lots of advice on potty training...can I ask another question? DD has been in underwear for over a month and has been doing great, except for with #2. Pretty much every day at school, she sneaks off into a corner and goes in her undies. I'm soooo tired of cleaning them out. Her teacher's try to watch her, but obviously they have lots of other things they need to be doing. I really don't want to go back to pull ups but I'm so tired of cleaning out her underwear. Do you have any advice on that? Just stick it out with the undies until she gets the hang of it? She always goes #2 after lunch, so maybe her day care could put her in pull ups after lunch just until she goes? Urgh! I'm trying to take your advice and just cool it, but it's so hard!
@hkb1988 Will you and YH have any overlapping time at all to HIO? You could try your hardest to get a couple of quickies in! Not the most romantic, but it's better than being benched for the rest of the cycle. 
@Mylitta We should get together and find some tips for calming down a bit. I'm starting to feel so crazy with this TTC stuff...I feel like it consumes everything! I think next cycle I'm going to stop keeping track of everything so I can hopefully cool my jets. This is my new mantra and it made me crack up:

@offtoneverland We should be able to figure a few things out... He generally gets home about 6:45am and DD doesn't want out of her crib until at least 7 so we should be able to make that work. I also only work about a 5 minute drive from home so could definitely head home for lunch. We'll figure something out! And if its not the month, its not the month. No big rush yet.

With DD1 I had to fix the issue at home before it fixed itself at daycare. Can you tell me more about your set up at home? What kind of reward system are you doing?

@BurlapandLace nope. We have a DD so I can go either way. I would love to reuse all of her old clothes but a I would adore a DS just the same.

@josie12367 yeah we've done all of that. I even parade it in front of her face when we sit on the potty. I give her m&ms for tooting, poop presents, candy, sing songs about poop, we dropped ice cubes in the toilet so she could hear the plop, done first/then, books, told her the poop needs to go in the toilet so it can go swim with his friends....I am just flat out of ideas. We did the 3 day training back in March, but the poop momentum died in May. We are just so frustrated.

@jnmiller324 it also sounds like you've done everything you can I know it's frustrating but sometimes there's nothing you can do. She just needs time I guess to figure it out on her own. Like I said mine took till almost four to get it down pat. 

Does she have her own little potty? Maybe putting that in a"safe" or private spot will entice her to poop in a potty? We had ours in her room...

Well, it can hurt because the methods to do that can mean less fertile window sex or potentially missing your fertile window by trying to time sex for an infinitesimally small chance of one sex or the other.

I would love to have another boy for the practical reason that I wouldn't need to buy any girl clothes, but I would be happy either way just to have another baby. Their sexual organs mean very little in who your child actually is as a person, which is why that is an unpopular topic on TB.

@princesslockness ~ I wonder about how much time is too much individual play as well. DS has FINALLY started being cool with playing on his own for a couple of hours, a couple of times a day. On one hand I am like “YES! Finally! Some me time”, but I do sometimes feel guilty and wonder if I am leaving him to do his own thing too much

@jnmiller324 ~ I am sorry you are feeling frustrated. I understand. Our first time around, I thought it would be easy peasy and it ended up taking 5 cycles for us. Which I know from being on TB, isn’t really a long time AT ALL, but I know it can be frustrating. *TW* Also, sorry for your loss – I ended up with a CP last cycle, which was also our first cycle of trying, so I can relate on that as well – creepy internet hugs ~ End TW*

@spiritual ~ I like pumpkin spice, but I have never been a fan of the PSL. I just saw that Starbucks made a PS chai though, and I am pretty excited to try once the weather cools down here a bit

@mrstmoose ~ We have the fisher price space saver high chair – it sits in a regular seat and when the tray is removed, it can be scooted up right to the table, which is how my son uses it now. The back can also be removed so it is a booster. I only use it on hard bottom chairs though. I wouldn’t put it on a cushioned seat chair.

@comealongponds ~ I just have to give you props for EPing for twins for a year! That is amazing. I hated pumping and am always in awe of ladies who EP. Major props

But he does enjoy when I include him more in daily activates around the house, so I am trying to be better about letting him “help” me more with sweeping and laundry and cooking, etc

@emjeve ~ Sorry about your loss – I also had a CP at the beginning of this month. It is my first, and I’ve heard it can effect later cycles differently for different people, but so far, this cycle for me (first AL) looks to be moving along ok. FX yours does too
