@businesswife I want to thank you for doing this every week. It has been a long time since I've been in a place to attempt this but it always inspired me to see the thread, even when I couldn't do it myself.
@KariAnn323 I'm so glad you're on the same page! That's so much of the battle in movinf forward.
@50wife Aww I love the Friday date night you have.
1. We had a wonderful eclipse trip! It was a breathtaking thing to witness. Plus so nice to have a distracting weekend trip.
2. My brother told us that the 2024 eclipse totality is less than an hour from his place so we'll also see the next one!
3. Taking the day off today. So grateful to have a job with vacation time.
4. It's supposed to be nice here this weekend too @50wife -- finally!

8. We have some good TV shows on the dvr from our weekend away.
9. Our town library has a really excellent selection.
10. I am so incredibly grateful for my friends and support system here on TB
@adirat glad to see you posting here Where did you guys go to see the eclipse? It looks like it would have been amazing to be directly in the path - I'm considering trying to check out the next one since it'll be way easier for us to get to.
@50wife We went to Missouri. It's very much worth seeing the totality. My husband doesn't really like traveling and even he said it was totally worth it.
My brother lives in Texas so next time we will go stay with him and drive to the Waco area I think. It also passes through Cleveland. So a few good options!
I've never "gotten" 10 things tuesdays. But I assume you list 10 things you're grateful for. (if I've wrong someone tell me) 1) MH stated a new job yesterday. HOORAY!!!! 2) Found a gift certificate to Dominos for a free pizza + bread that expires today so we get to have a free/easy dinner tonight 3) DH was a gem last night and very willingly switched directions laying in bed to accommodate me (he's usually a bear about side/direction he sleeps) 4) Crazy kitty cuddles! They always make me smile 5) Only 1 more hour left to work today! 6) Made plans to spend Saturday afternoon with a good friend of mine 7) TW
DSD starts 1st grade the day after Labor Day, but we still get her one more full week (Aug 27 - Sept 2) before we go back to EO weekend
8) Tried a new creamy style cucumber salad recipe (free cukes from co-workers since squirrels destroyed mine, booya)! I still prefer the basic water/vinegar/sugar ones, but it's not bad.
9) All you lovely ladies, this is such an amazing community that I'm so grateful to have "accidentally" found. I would be a complete basket case by now if I hadn't found you all to connect with
10) It's almost "old man" DHs b-day!

Thanks for starting this today, @BusinessWife! I needed it!
@adirat So glad you felt like posting here. You're my inspiration today
1. After getting tested in freaking June, finally got my sleep apnea diagnosis (moderate obstructive), and got my CPAP machine. I'm hoping getting much better rest (you guys, apparently I stop breathing like 10 times an hour!!) will make me a happier person. I got my machine on Friday, and I do feel better so far.
2. I have a friend who is struggling to get a diagnosis for what she is convinced is PCOS (and it sounds like it is). I've been trying to convince her to chart and take matters into her own hands. Yesterday I ordered her a copy of ISWTE from Amazon and had it sent to her house. It makes me feel good to share something that I found so helpful with a friend who is going through IF, too.
3. I've been telling more people that we're trying. It's been so isolating, so it's nice to let it out there. Sometimes the sympathy is too hard, but overall, I like not feeling like I'm hiding anymore.
4. I had delicious sushi with some great friends last night. If I'm not KU, at least I'm enjoying some sushi goodness. Oh, and Moscow Mules.
5. With OH not being laid off anymore, it's so nice to go back to our normal lifestyle. I really didn't mind cutting back, but there were some things I missed, like having a membership to the local car wash so I can keep my baby clean, LOL. I also still have him home every night since he doesn't travel for his new job!
6. I had time before dinner yesterday to go to said local car wash, and even was able to vacuum her out
7. I'm getting excited for my new nephew to be born. I'm still struggling with jealousy and sadness, but I love my SIL and her H, and I'm stoked to be an aunt again. Plus, they asked me to be his godmother!!
8. It is looking like we'll get to be in Minneapolis for Thanksgiving for my nephew/godson's baptism. I'll get to add a new state to my list!
9. Some work I had done on my car turned out to be under warranty, so I got a fat refund check back yesterday.
10. Here at the beginning of Cycle 24, I still have so much to be thankful for.
Me: 45 OH: 42 Beloved SS: born 12/2011 TTC my bio #1/our #2 since January 2016 **TW** June 2016 had CP **end TW** August 2016 - dx with DOR Somewhere in here received recommendation to do IVF with donor eggs, elected not to; OH dx with Low T May 2017 - began freezing sperm June 2017 - OH began treatment for Low T July 2017 - began doing 1 IUI via a midwife and 1 at home insemination each cycle http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/6259ba July 2018 - exhausted frozen sperm, officially NTNP since OH is probably shooting blanks
@aurora1973 Thank you for your kind words I'm so glad you got a machine and things are going better with sleep! How scary to think you aren't breathing during sleep!
And you are a good friend and support for her during IF.
1. All of you ladies are inspiration and such a wealth of knowledge 2. My BFF got engaged during the eclipse yesterday! 3. For new friends who help me be more active and social. 4. The perfect sunny 75 degree weather today 5. MH's promotion 6. King size bed 7. date night tomorrow 8. cool basements 9. Flexible remote working 10.
@50wife I have a similar recipe except my layers are (from
bottom to top) Brownie, layer of oreos, chocolate chip cookie. We call them Slutty Brownies. They are filthy. And soo delicious.
@redpuma119 This is totally off-topic but why does it seem like your posts are in a different font from everyone else's posts? Do we have font options?

You guys, totally warming my heart to see this thread blowing up this week!!! @adirat <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/5020794/uploads/editor/dt/ogp8ept6iinb.gif" alt=""> Sounds like you have so much good stuff going on! My mom is in Cleveland so I might just have to plan to be there 2024 ;)
@Aurora1973 So glad you got your machine! Better sleep can make such a huge difference in literally everything throughout the day. Imho. Also, REFUND CHECK!!! Holla!!!
@Redpuma119 I think I must have missed the first part you were replying to, bc it seemed like you just randomly posted your recipe for slutty brownies and now I love you even more. ❤❤❤
@blackhottamales. Awww, eclipse engagement!!!!! That is so sweet!!!!
@lurvleybunchococonuts Congrats on your Hs new job! And bonus pizza sounds like a great way to celebrate!!!!
@BusinessWife@adirat My font is probably normal now, right? haha When I read through a thread and go to respond, I always forget something. So I have started opening up a little "notes" program where I can type out my responses to the people I want to. Then I can cut and paste. I work with two screens so it's just easier for me. Be honest, does it drive you guys nuts with the different fonts?
@darkstar42. I still haven't gotten a garden going here yet, but love it. What about tzatziki? Or I have used rice wine vinegar and sesame oil to make a little Asian inspired cucumber salad or stir-fry topping before, too!
@50wife. Thanks! It's crazy to think it's finally happening!!! 21 day fix sounds awesome. I need some of that in my life! Lol. Can you PM me more info please??? ;)
@lalala2004. Nice work with that jog!!! Im never fast either when I used to run, but it does feel great to accomplish it every time! And Happy early birthday to you!!!
@KariAnn323. So glad your H is on board and you are communicating more effectively about TTC. That. Is everything. ❤
@ajsanders-2 sounds like you had a pretty wonderful morning... congrats on finding your new apartment, too!!! How exciting!
@Redpuma119 I do the same thing!!! The sticky notes program in windows makes replying soon much easier than scrolling up and down

@lurvleybunchococonuts I actually learned to do this from some of the women on TTGP about a year ago. I can't remember who, but it really does come in handy!
1) We have a couch this week! (Sometimes all the couches are rented out and we sit on the floor) 2) It's H's last week at his job. New one starts next week! 3) H's new insurance is expensive but would cover all IF testing and treatment should it come to that. Huge relief to not be so worried about that financial side. 4)
4) Next week I am holding a day we've titled "Camp Miss SkilledSailor" where I will be watching my favorite kids from the two year old room I use to teach/the boys I nannied. They're all 5/6 now and will be starting Kindergarten the next day.
5) My fluffy kitty is snuggling with me 6) H is awful at helping with the household chores so he got me a vacuum robot! Love him. 7) I'm getting my hair done on Thursday. Love my new monthly appointments. 8) My business is doing well enough that if it can maintain this pace, I'll be able to do it full time in just a few months. 9) Our winter garden is sprouting. 10) There are some fabulous, helpful, caring ladies on this board!
@BusinessWife That's so exciting your stimming started this week!
@KariAnn323 Aw that's so great you and your H are on the same page, on all things fertility. There's nothing like that support.
@SkilledSailor here you go!! My sister's sister-in-law made them this weekend so I had her send me the recipe. She said she used boxed brownie mix even though the recipe is for homemade. I'm not a baker so I'd probably go the boxed route as well

@BusinessWife. Potato chips & cereal & veggies are all crunchy. So that means potato chips are both a breakfast food & healthy . @lalala2004. Yay for extra sleep! @kariann323 FX the next 2 weeks go by quickly! @ajsanders- a little extra makeup can sure make a lady feel extra special some days! @50wife. I.love.fall!!!!!! @adirat. Homemade guac is delish! That's is exciting to see the next one, too! @SkilledSailor. Do you stage with your own couch?? @blackhottamales. Amen to king size bed. @lurvleybunchococonuts. Congrats on finding that gift certificate before it expired!! @SkilledSailor. Winter garden already??
1. Our snuggly, warm, soft as a dream-cloud bed. 2. MH went on a walk with the puppy & me this evening. 2. Lucky charms. (don't judge my life decisions ) 3. Almond milk. Soy milk is disgusting, so I'm very happy almond is around! 4. My kitten warms my heart & calms me. Especially, I love how she comes to bed with me. 5. Understanding friends 6. Continual access to frsh, clean water. This for sure includes the Culligan machine in my office with on-demand hot, cold, and room temperature water. 7. Modern medicine. 8. My BIL is the most kind-hearted man. He always says 'yes' when someone needs helo, with no expecation of return. He is helping us retile a bathroom next weekend. 9. The ability to read. Books and expanding my knowledge brings me great joy. And reading TB, of course! 10. One month until I take a trip to see my friend!
@jrm_14 Ooh, I love home projects! What kind of tile did you choose? And yes, we use our own couch sometimes. It's cost effective and available in a pinch. As for the winter garden, yup. In my area, if planting from seeds, you're suppose to start as early as late July for some plants up to Sept. 1st for others. We'll be planting the carrots this weekend.
@skilledsailor YAY! I planted some carrot seeds this spring They're not QUITE ready (or maybe they're just as good as they'll get). They definitely grew little carrots, but they're not very big. I did kaleidoscope carrots (all diff colors) cause DH is weird and doesn't eat anything "orange". I hope your "winter" garden continues to do well!

TTGP December Siggy Co-Winner: Favorite Moments from Holiday Movies/TV
@lurvleybunchococonuts Haha is there a reason he doesn't eat orange foods? We tried carrots last year and just got little nubs too. We got them a big, deep container this year. Our carrots are spoiled rotten.
@SkilledSailor lmao, "because he's a nut case" is the short answer. Because he's a nut case that says orange is an unnatural color and shouldn't be eaten, however; he states cheese is "yellow", but pumpkin pie is orange. Also, cheetos don't count. He'll eat non-orange carrots, and will refuse to eat any candy that's orange. Upside whenever I want oranges or clementines in the house he stays out of them. So long answer is still, "because he's a nut case". In reality he's just weird-o that will wear orange, but not eat it? *shrug*

6) Made plans to spend Saturday afternoon with a good friend of mine
7) TW
8) Tried a new creamy style cucumber salad recipe (free cukes from co-workers since squirrels destroyed mine, booya)! I still prefer the basic water/vinegar/sugar ones, but it's not bad.
9) All you lovely ladies, this is such an amazing community that I'm so grateful to have "accidentally" found. I would be a complete basket case by now if I hadn't found you all to connect with
10) It's almost "old man" DHs b-day!

6. I had time before dinner yesterday to go to said local car wash, and even was able to vacuum her out
9. Some work I had done on my car turned out to be under warranty, so I got a fat refund check back yesterday.
10. Here at the beginning of Cycle 24, I still have so much to be thankful for.
Beloved SS: born 12/2011

1) We have a couch this week! (Sometimes all the couches are rented out and we sit on the floor)
2) It's H's last week at his job. New one starts next week!
3) H's new insurance is expensive but would cover all IF testing and treatment should it come to that. Huge relief to not be so worried about that financial side.
4)
6) H is awful at helping with the household chores so he got me a vacuum robot!
@ajsanders-2 Yay for the new apartment!
@lalala2004 Oh man, nothing quite like sleeping in.
@50Wife Um, those brownies sound heaven sent. Can we please get that recipe?

1. Our snuggly, warm, soft as a dream-cloud bed.
2. MH went on a walk with the puppy & me this evening.
2. Lucky charms. (don't judge my life decisions )
3. Almond milk. Soy milk is disgusting, so I'm very happy almond is around!
4. My kitten warms my heart & calms me. Especially, I love how she comes to bed with me.
5. Understanding friends

Here you go. (I usually do my brownies on the bottom, but this does not look inappropriate.) You're welcome.
