@Cricket99 me too! Fortunately my DH isn't a big sweets person.
Edited because I thought of my FFFC. Tomorrow I am having lunchmeat. We are going out on the lake all day and a sandwich is easy, so that's what we're doing. That and other snacks, but I'm excited about this sandwich!
DH and DD are going camping next weekend and I'm shamelessly planning to get takeout for almost every meal while they're gone. I also have a lasagna in the freezer for myself
I am actively avoiding hanging out with the inlaws while DH is out of town. They are kind, sweet people but I really don't like seeing ANYONE (besides DH) as often as they want to hang out. DH usually has coffee/lunch with them 1-2x a week while I'm at work whereas I meet up w/ them for dinner once every 2-3 weeks. I don't even see MY family that much and they live just as close. So while he's gone, I'm staying at work a bit later just in case they drive by and see my car and ask what I'm up to (that happened last week). And I keep pointing out how crazy work is (it is) when they text every 2-3 days to see whats up. BTW they never texted me while DH was in town because they talked to him. It's not that I don't love them, it's that I REALLY love personal space and private time.
The nursery ideas thread gives me major anxiety. Everything is so wonderful and so planned and I haven't done anything yet except make this crazy plan that we are waiting to purchase furniture and such closer to when the nursery will actually be used and after I get my annual bonus, which is in March. The thread just fuels the already constant nagging feeling I have of already being behind. For what it is worth I had the same feeling last time too so we went and ordered the furniture that sat in his room for 6 months before being used aside from the glider.
I really wanted sushi last night. Like, really really wanted it and almost said F*ck it, i'm getting some...but i didn't. I settled for cinnamon sugar pancakes and fried zucchini with ranch instead, which was amazing and definitely the dinner of champions, but it wasn't sushi. Anyone eating sushi? (i only ask so that i can justify getting it in the future )
@egirl1025 don't even think you're behind! 99% of my friends, myself included, have put together the nursery, then changed everything after baby got here because it wasn't functional at all. You'll have a head start because you'll know what you actually need
@gilsam1 - I feel you! I would kill for some tuna right now. I have seen so many pictures of really delicious looking poke bowls from this place downtown and I want one SO BAD. A poke bowl and a glass of frose please and thank you.
I just ordered a pair of jean with the cutest little kitty cats on the knees in a 2T. This little girl wont fit into a 2T jean for sooooo long. DS is almost 2 and not in 2T jeans. But they were on sale at Target and they were to damn cute too pass up for this crazy cat lady. I think this is why I'm excited to have a girl this time. So I can put her in all the cat clothes.
There is a going away work party today in like 1.5 hours and I really do not feel like being around a bunch of drunken coworkers (especially since I will be the ONLY sober one there). It does not help that I am really tired from working 3 12's the last 3 days and just want to lay on my couch.
@gilsam1 I do not eat true sushi (spicy tuna, etc etc), but I do indulge in tempura rolls or veggie rolls. It helps with the craving.
@KatieEl I really want to try the rainbow swirl. My store had pictures and signs up for the new flavors but they weren't even tagged for it in the ice cream aisle. My favorite is chocolate. It's like real chocolate ice cream. When I'm on weight watchers I would save my points to eat an entire pint. Only 8-10 points and worth each one.
@KatieEl - Yummm. What flavor are you eating? I'm so pumped for the new ones to get to my store. I want to try pancakes and waffles, cinnamon roll, and candy bar! I think Lemon Cake might be my favorite of the current flavors.
@egirl1025 I have staunchly avoided the nursery thread because this one might have a nursery around six months, but even then it's not going to be very extravagant. The thread is just gonna fills me with a sense of economic jealousy and mild sense of failure, lol.
Also y'all Halo Top is gross. It is, at best, a sad substitute for ice cream that is occasionally necessary.
I have a scheduled day off work Monday and even though my planned trip got cancelled and I really need to save the hours for later on, I think I'll probably stay home with my bathtub.
Well, i couldn't fight it anymore and i had the spicy tuna rolls today for lunch, they were delicious! But, in my defense, i had them tempura deep fry them extra long so basically the tuna was cooked...well, sorta cooked...maybe...good enough, right?
