So it's not Monday, but I do my meal planning/shopping/prepping etc on the weekend when I have time and then hope we stick to the plan throughout the week. You ladies had some awesome ideas last time, so I'm hoping no one minds a new meal planning thread.
Saturday: Burgers, corn, roasted potato & yogurt salad Sunday: Roast chicken with stuffing and green beans (because I'm suddenly craving Tgiving in August) Monday: Leftovers / make stock Tuesday: Chicken risotto with mushrooms and caramelized onions Wednesday: Japanese curry with chicken, potato, and peas Thursday: Game night with friends (potluck) Friday: Leftovers or take out, and failing that chicken soup with barley
Today I'm knocking out a bunch of prep work so the rest of the week will go easier.
Saturday: cheeseburger sliders Sunday: leftovers cause DH is working Monday: lasagna soup tuesday: poppyseed chicken and Mac n cheese Wednesday: spaghetti Thursday: grilled chicken and veggies friday: out to eat
I am very impressed with all this meal planning. I used to be so good about it, but these days I can hardly make it through the work day, let alone cook. This is my normal week......
Monday: pizza Tuesday: leftover pizza Wednesday: breakfast.....because all I have is eggs and pancake mix Thursday: I hope you ate a late lunch, no dinner tonight. Scavenge if you're starving. Friday: my husband will grill something because he's sick of garbage all week
Momma to Amelia Marie (7/14) and Austin Samuel (11/17). Adding baby (girl) #3 on 7/21
@ameliabedelia-2 hahaha I like your style. That used to be my life until I realized how much food we were wasting because we werent planning.
I haven't written mine and am writing it as I go here, probably going to steal a few ideas from you guys! haha
Monday: Rotisserie chicken and salad Tuesday: Out for dinner for friends going away party Wednesday: Leftover chicken into risotto, maybe I'll be ambitious enough to make my own stock Thursday: Hot Dogs & raw chopped veg (kiddo loves HDs, I like to indulge him :P) Friday: Nachos with baked beans, avocado, green onion, tomatoes and cheddar Saturday: Grilled pork chops with grilled onion & feta green beans and baked potatoes Sunday: Leftovers or take out
Thanks for the motivation to actually plan a decent week! lol
I don't usually assign meals to days, but here is this weeks list:

We waste a lot of food at our house too if we don't meal plan. We also eat drive-thru a lot more and that adds up. I have more energy now to cook a variety of meals but in the early days of my pregnancy and probably again towards the end, we rely heavily on our crock pot... just throw it all in to the pot before lunch, turn on and bam... 6-8 hours later dinner is served. No eating out and no complaints from kids or DH.
@kvacmak I love my IP! I need to figure out some more recipes for it! Also, thanks for bringing it up and reminding me I can make my crock pot meal in it, because let's be honest, I will probably forget to put it on in the morning

@kvacmak and @ktcakes87 maybe I need to look into this instapot thing. I almost always forget to put food in the crock pot only to be frustrated later that we don't have dinner as planned. Are there lots of recipes for it? Any favorites?

I could honestly live off of crockpot food. It's so easy and always good!
Last week was such a crap food feast, (pizza, Chinese, Mexican, all take out so good but so bad) hopefully this week it's totally different.
Tonight : Parm chicken foil packets w/ zucc and a big salad. T - Chicken Lombardy w/ pasta and salad. W - @eazybreezy225 French dip seems like a good choice, thanks! Th - Salisbury steak or cheesy hamburger pasta (so healthy, I know ) F- Chicken and broccoli or leftovers Sat - Omgosh there better be leftovers. Sun - Grad party at delicious Italian restaurant
My meal planning has been awful lately! At least I know what we're eating tomorrow: Mon: Fish and zucchini gratin (neither turned out great--sigh. I've made the fish recipe before, but I think I did something wrong this time) Tues: Tacos! (And I just realized I forgot to get sour cream or yogurt. DH doesn't eat it so he won't care, but I'll be sad. Maybe I can grab some on the way home tomorrow) Weds: possibly taco leftovers. Maybe I'll make taco ring to mix it up. I'll just need some crescent rolls Thurs: likely to be ravioli and sauce because I will be getting home late Friday: ??? DH and I want to try to have a date night this weekend, but DD has been sick, so I haven't lined up a babysitter yet.
That's as far as I've gotten.
