  • DH and I are not on good terms right now. He returned the uhual without putting gas in it and now they want to charge us $30 a gallon. I told him he needs to figure it out before he comes home. I'm just so mad and his forgetfulness

WHAT!?! That sounds crazy! How can they justify $30 a gallon? I could see $30 fill up fee and slightly above average per gallon price. I know nothing about this though. I would be pissed too! I get that Uhaul wants you to refill, but that is absurd of them!

I thought it was $30 total too but when I called them they said it was $30 a gallon. I think even the fetus was in shock.

    I woke up to this!
Our husky has completely trashed the backyard, there's not one tree or plant that's not about to just tumble over or snap in half and her millionth bed is in shreds :(
And I just don't like anything or anyone at all today lol

@SunflowerMama428, hopefully the guy just misspoke. The internet is telling me it is $30 then $2 more per gallon than current price. Still absurd, but less than $30 per gallon.
  • @lainikins hopefully. I told DH he needs to figure that out.

30 dollars a gallon is ridiculous. Me thinks the guy you spoke to is confused.

  • DD's 1st b day is on Wednesday and I just ordered her some birthday gifts last minute from amazon. My BF is that we planned to do a small party for her this weekend, but it ended up being DH's cousins wedding. I took this weekend off at the beginning of the year before we knew about this wedding. I work every single weekend so that i can stay home with DD and avoid daycare costs. I'm getting some slight second degree from people that I'm not going to this wedding. Um, yeah I don't want to drive three hours away at 13 weeks pregnant with twins and watch everyone else get drunk. Plus it is a no kids allowed wedding, so we would have to leave DD overnight for the first time ever. I'm just not ready to do so.

People make such a big deal about things. If this was like your brothers wedding obviously but it's also your DD's birthday. People need to realize life goes on. Hell I don't want to do anything pregnant with one.
  • Oh no @hr1116!  Our lab got in trouble last night bc DH found him walking around in the garden stomping pepper plants.  He wouldn't let him get in the bed to watch TV with us.  He had the saddest face.
  • Also, the price is right is a re-run this morning. Sigh.
My BF is that Bob Barker died and I can't handle that thought.

Now my BF is at my local news for airing a lie.
  • My 21 month old woke up on the demon side of the crib today and I'm 1000% positive the clocks stopped so it will never be her naptime. Also, I'm really tired of Disney showing the same five episodes of Elena of Avalor.

My BF is towards the nurse practitioner I saw today.  First, I had my u/s and everything looked great.  Baby is measuring a few days ahead, high heart-rate, moving all around.  I go to see the nurse practitioner bc my dr is gone delivering a baby.  She comes in and starts with, "well the good news is the bleed isn't any bigger, but it hasn't gotten any smaller, either".  Umm, what bleed?  That has never been mentioned to me before.  I asked a few questions for her to clarify (again, bc I have no idea what she is talking about) and she seemed super annoyed with me.  I left and now have a whole new level of anxiety.  I am assuming she was talking about a SCH? I read the thread on this BMB, which helped ease my nerves. I am thinking about calling back and talking to a nurse?

    I would call back.

Omg i feel you with the dogs today.  Came home to a nice little "present" left on top of some clean laundry from my pup today. My fault i guess for leaving it out but still!

  • @magnolia305 I'd def call back and ask what is going on and why you were never told. I've read they don't mention it if you don't see blood, but in that case the np needs to follow the same protocol and lose the attitude. Good luck!
  • Oh I have one. The lab lost my NIPT results!! How!? Where in the hell did my information go then?

I called back again and they were like oh, I just don't think we received your sample. I was like that's weird because I talked to someone last week that said you did and that they would be ready this week. So I guess we'll see what happens

I work in two hospital labs and generally if we don't have labs, it's because the provider sent them to the wrong place, forgot to send them, or mislabeled. I can't speak for how every lab runs their ship, but we are very organized with how things are received and stored. It's hard to believe that things get "lost." And often we get blamed for things out of our control. I hope they figure it out soon and that it was simply misplaced or had a delay in transport.

Also, as a PSA to all you ladies. Always make sure your provider/phlebotomist labels your specimens and tubes with you in the room! That is the number one rejection for labs! You would not believe the amount of things we can't run simply because a label with patient identifiers was forgotten.

We are renting a uhaul at the end of the month. I'm gone bring this up. That's insane!!!!

Wow. Can't believe that happens! I mean, I can. But at the same time....how do you not put the label on in room?
  • @seitzy3 Yikes! I hope that gets straightened out!

@meatballs37 The lady that draws my blood in my OB's office, labels the blood, then shows me the label and says "this is you, correct?". Also, your job seems interesting!
  • I just got off the phone with the nurse from my OB's office.  She said it was a small bleed and it's super common.  Like you said, @mpp06, it's office practice not to say anything unless it's a large bleed, I spot, or if the bleed is getting bigger.  The nurse said she didn't know why the nurse practitioner said anything, but reassured me that everything looks great and not to worry! So I shall try not to worry.

See this is why I changed OBs & now have a doctor an hour away!

I've had 2 losses. Both times the office staff was callous and dismissive. My second loss, I had to beg for test results and to keep appointments. The last straw was when I got the results of my final US emailed to me without a call from the Dr. The nurse said "Oh whoops. Anything else we can help you with?" I can't stand incompetence and especially uncaring and cold staff in the medical field. Our small town does not have many OBs so I had to go to a nearby city but I feel much more confident in the quality of my care.

I have had those days,  they suck!  Did you check the grounding rod?  That seems to always be the culprit here when it hasn't rained - at least summer we don't have that problem!

  • @rainafire77 What an awful experience at your last doctor. Glad you've found somewhere that suits you, better!

@magnolia305 Unnecessary stress is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. When it is someone else's responsibility to communicate with me clearly and their failure results in me being more stressed than necessary, I turn into a monster. Glad you got some answers, even if you did have to hunt them down yourself.

My beef with yesterday was people with poor hygiene. Want to skip showering for weeks and go to Walmart? Rude, but fine. Want to skip showering for weeks and mow your lawn? Be my guest. Want to skip showering for weeks and come to court?

  • My husband somehow lost his car keys this weekend while I was at work!
I had so many things to do today while DS is at the sitter but I can't because he hadn't to take my truck to work. Now I'm stuck at home, can't even walk to the nearest store (about a 20 min walk) for food because my buggy is in hubby's locked trunk.
