GTKY: what's your favorite breakfast food? (Whether you make it at home or you go out) Ooooh, breakfast is my FAVORITE meal of the day! There are so many yummy choices that it is difficult to pick just one. I top it with some salsa, and serve with a side of avocado and fruit. (I take my breakfast seriously lol). If we eat at a restaurant, I love apple wheat pancakes or the California benedict.
@hedgepig oh man, it's.... it's like, heaps of french soft scrambled eggs (I guess you probably know this, but like, for others reading, crack them in a cold pan with a ton of butter and slowly scramble) with chives, caramelized onion, and sriracha aioli on a brioche bun. @JNCPro3130 it's so hot and humid here that I have to get up early to run. When my bff & I were marathon training, we'd start our 20 milers at 3:30am to beat the heat!
@Stargazer1lily I hope your H feels better soon! (And you don't get what he has!)
@Augusta108 what book are you reading? Wonder Woman was good (I had no interest in seeing it but all of H's family was going during our vacation so I went and was pleasantly surprised). And good luck at the meeting tomorrow!
@doxiemoxie212 what is this Fairfax deliciousness you're raving about?? (Ok just saw your description. That sounds delicious!!)
@dukestar5 I always have to have music. Even when I'm running with my group, I leave one headphone in. I've never tried a podcast though. Do you find it hard to focus on it? When I run solo is when I push myself so not sure I could focus. Also, do you have any races coming up?
@vflux33 Thanks, that makes sense! The range seems kind of ridiculous to me. We have the SA scheduled for the end of the month, so fx this cycle is the one, and we don't end up needing the analysis!
@kbamomma33, 4:00 is my earliest wake up time during the school year. I get up 2 times a week to wake up. For the sake of consistency, I have it set for the same time every day.
@stargazer1lily, I'm so sorry your husband is so sick! Disinfect a lot!
@Augusta108, good luck at your meeting tomorrow! I'm very non confrontational so things like that stress me out! FX it goes well!
@dukestar5, 7 miles?! All you runners are making me feel bad about dreading my 20 minute run I'm about to do. I really wish I could run like that!
@jennycolada, are you a runner too? I'm TRYING to get back into it. I'm trying to train for a 5k but I'm so freaking slow and I'm sure people think I'm having a heart attack while I'm running. I'm terrible at it!
@JNCPro3130 I wouldn't exactly call myself a "runner". I'm never going to get up before 7am to go on a run, which means I just do it 1-2 times a week. I just kinda do it when it's convenient. When I used to go to the gym I really loved the elliptical. Running is good because it's cheap and "easy" (as in, you don't need a big setup or anything. You just GO.).
Hey Ladies, OPK finally positive last night and this morning so headed over to TWW. @purplg8r Good job on the run! @RVAmom315 Looks like we're O date twins. @kbamomma33 We're doing low carb here so your description of the bagel is really making my mouth water! @JennyColada I'm so sensitive to caffeine since I've been cutting back. We live in a large master planned (like 100k people) and they outlawed fireworks so we have to drive to FIL's house to see them. @darkstar42 Yeah we're trying to eat better here too. It helped to get all the junk food out of the house. Though the other night, my drunk self found the one thing of ice cream buried in our deep freeze! @wisewitch222 Hope you're enjoying vacation!
Me: 35, Hubbie: 33 Married DH: 2013 DD: Dec 2015 BFP 8/14/17 --> Due 4/27/2018
@darkstar42 --my best advice would be to find a friend or two to run with...for me, it helps make the time go by more quickly and it's more fun to catch up! If you prefer to run alone, maybe start at a local track and bring some music. (I use free Pandora app on my phone and select a station with fast paced music to keep me motivated). Also, I did not start running until college and, in the beginning, I could not make it around the campus dorms without stopping. A few years later I ran a marathon. So when starting, remember that it is ok to do intervals. For example, start by running for 2 minutes, then walking 1 minute (and repeat).
@JennyColada of course! The more the merrier I say.
@purplg8r --interesting! I think I am actually slower when I run by myself because I feel less motivated (lazy?) So I like running with others to push me. One of my friends and I try to do a speed workout (400 or 800 intervals) a few times a month.
@darkstar42Here's a link to the recipe that I just tried - Overall I liked it a lot, although it has a couple of extra steps that make it a touch more complicated. I would probably fiddle with it a bit (change up the filling, use less icing), but definitely nice soft cinnamon rolls. And attached is the recipe that my mom passed down to me that I've been making forever - I like them especially because you make them the night before and refrigerate overnight so that you can bake first thing in the morning - pretty important for Christmas morning, which is when we always had them @fishsticks-n-custard Technically we play Pathfinder (rather than D&D, YH will probably know what I'm talking about), and I'm currently playing a gnomish witch, level 14 (which is pretty exciting because we've rarely gotten characters to that high of a level). @lurvleybunchococonuts MH made homemade hash browns yesterday for us too.... yum, so good!
@Stargazer1lily, sick Hs are the pits. Hopefully he's feeling better soon!
@darkstar42, they didn't give us a range (we did 3 days) because they were able to schedule him really quickly. They just told us bonded until after. It was fine. I'd guess there's a long range because it really doesn't matter all that much.

GTKY: what's your favorite breakfast food? (Whether you make it at home or you go out) As long as there is bacon I am happy. When I want special breakfast-- At home I usually make waffles and crumble some bacon into the batter. The sweet/savory is so yum. When I'm out I usually order something with a nice runny egg on top. But also bacon.
@dukestar5 and @purplg8r Thanks for the running advice! I appreciate the reminder that starting slowly with intervals is ok. I've checked out the Couch to 5k program before, but never done it. Maybe now is the time! @hedgepig Those recipes look great! I'll have to give one or both a try soon. @LazyCrane Sounds like 2-3 days is normal. I can work with that!
@fishsticks-n-custard fx you don't come back here anytime soon I dunno why they do the 3rd instead of the 4th. A lot of the towns nearby don't do actual "4th of July" fireworks. I think one of the larger nearby cities does though. Gotta look it up. *shrug* probably something to do with what day after week the 4th lands on?

@kbamomma33 I am sorry about missing the FW with your hubby's travel. That happened to me a few months ago...I was out of town and missed the FW. It just makes the waiting sooo much longer. In other news, that breakfast sounds amazing! Definitely a favorite.
@JennyColada -- I hope you get a nap in before the ILs arrive! Also, what are dutch babies? They sound like something extra delicious that I should know about.
@Stargazer1lily --I hope your DH feels better! (FX it is not the flu).
@Augusta108 Enjoy Wonder Woman. And GL with initiating that conversation with your boss. I dislike having to initiate uncomfortable topics, but it seems like addressing that issue will ultimately make your work environment better for you (and hopefully it will help your co-worker grow too).

R/R: 7 mile run this morning and it was hot & humid! We have a family swim/BBQ party later this afternoon after church, so that should be fun.
CS/Q:
Ooooh, breakfast is my FAVORITE meal of the day! There are so many yummy choices that it is difficult to pick just one. If I make breakfast at home, I love to sautee onions, then add in scrambled eggs--mixed with plain Greek yogurt for extra creaminess--as well as some chopped spinach, cheddar cheese, and any other veggies I might have on hand. I top it with some salsa, and serve with a side of avocado and fruit. (I take my breakfast seriously lol). If we eat at a restaurant, I love apple wheat pancakes or the California benedict.

R/R: rant - I find it stupid that my town does fireworks on July 3rd instead of July 4th.
Rave - had a super lazy day yesterday it was glorious.
CS/Q: nah
Best question ever. I love pretty much all breakfast food! From cold cereal to quiche. Monkey bread? French toast? Eggs? Breakfast burritos? Bagels? Eggs Benedict? Fruit and yogurt? Pancakes? Om nom nom!!! I can't pick a favorite cause I love them all. This morning DH & I made homemade hash browns and breakfast tacos. Super yummy!

@JNCPro3130 @holly321 I love french toast too, but also rarely make it. It's a nice treat for eating out.
@kbamomma33 Your bagel sounds delicious! I've had such a hard time finding decent bagels where I live (midwest). I don't think there are enough NY/New Jersey transplants here!
@Stargazer1lily Oh no! I hope it's not the flu.
@Augusta108 Enjoy Wonder Woman! I loved it.
@hedgepig Would you be willing to share your cinnamon roll recipe? I've been looking for a good one!

WAYDTGKU: charting temps and cm, opks
R/R: I'm trying to be better about eating healthy and getting exercise, but I'm finding it really hard to stay motivated. On the plus side, the weather is gorgeous here and we're going to a lunch party at our neighbor's house.
CS/Q: For those whose partners have done an SA, how long did you abstain beforehand? The 2-7 day range seems really broad, so I'd love more information on what would give the most accurate results.
You can never go wrong with bacon! Other than that, one of my favorite breakfasts to make is popovers.
CD: 20
WAYDTGKU: temp, CM, PNV, sex
R/R: I think I might have O'd yesterday based on CM, but I can't tell for sure since we had a wedding last night and I just didn't bother with temp this morning because of drinking and sleeping in until 9. But the wedding was great and it was so much fun to see family and old friends
CS/Q:
@darkstar42 For the SA we went with 2.5 days. 7 days sounds like way too long TBH. I'm surprised you were given such a wide range.
@RVAmom315 I hope your H cooperates!!
@holly321 have fun shopping & at the pool!!
@kbamomma33 ugh. FX your H's travel schedule changes or your body cooperates and O's early/late
@JennyColada what's a Dutch baby???
@hedgepig mmmm cinnamon rolls
@dukestar5 I always have to have music. Even when I'm running with my group, I leave one headphone in. I've never tried a podcast though. Do you find it hard to focus on it? When I run solo is when I push myself so not sure I could focus. Also, do you have any races coming up?
@lurvleybunchococonuts your breakfast sounded yummy!!
https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/6648-dutch-baby
So so easy and so yummy!
Also I jogged (/walked) 3 miles with the pup today! Do I get to be initiated to the cool kids runners club?

@purplg8r Good job on the run!
@RVAmom315 Looks like we're O date twins.
@kbamomma33 We're doing low carb here so your description of the bagel is really making my mouth water!
@JennyColada I'm so sensitive to caffeine since I've been cutting back. That would have been me too. Hopefully a nap today?
@Stargazer1lily Hope your hubbie feels better!
@Augusta108 Have fun at Wonder Woman! I'm jealous, haven't had a chance to see it yet.
@doxiemoxie212 OMG that piggy in your signature!
@hedgepig Mmmm cinnamon roll! What do you play in D&D? I probably won't understand but i can get hubbie to translate!
@dukestar5 Oooo I need to try that greek yogurt trick!
@lurvleybunchococonuts Why on the 3rd instead of the 4th? We live in a large master planned (like 100k people) and they outlawed fireworks so we have to drive to FIL's house to see them.
@darkstar42 Yeah we're trying to eat better here too. It helped to get all the junk food out of the house. Though the other night, my drunk self found the one thing of ice cream buried in our deep freeze!
@wisewitch222 Hope you're enjoying vacation!
Married DH: 2013
DD: Dec 2015
BFP 8/14/17 --> Due 4/27/2018
@fishsticks-n-custard --yay for moving to TWW! FX for you!
@hedgepig --what is D&D?
@fishsticks-n-custard Technically we play Pathfinder (rather than D&D, YH will probably know what I'm talking about), and I'm currently playing a gnomish witch, level 14 (which is pretty exciting because we've rarely gotten characters to that high of a level).
@lurvleybunchococonuts MH made homemade hash browns yesterday for us too.... yum, so good!

@wisewitch222 I'm glad you had fun at the wedding!
@fishsticks-n-custard don't come back!
@darkstar42, they didn't give us a range (we did 3 days) because they were able to schedule him really quickly. They just told us bonded until after. It was fine. I'd guess there's a long range because it really doesn't matter all that much.

WAYDTGKU: OPKs, HIO, POM juice (still haven't looked up what that helps, just recalled that I was doing that last time I got a BFP and bought a bottle).
R/R: My sex drive is low right now so EOD sex is really seeming like a chore. We are still fighting the good fight through. I've been having some light cramping so hopefully that means O is coming up soon.
CS/Q:
@hedgepig Those recipes look great! I'll have to give one or both a try soon.
@LazyCrane Sounds like 2-3 days is normal. I can work with that!

@hedgepig, I love homemade cinnamon rolls. I am making some this weekend once I pick fresh blueberries for them
@dukestar5, not really. I had to get a new water bottle for the rabbit and some flowers. I was hoping to get some clothes, but it didn't happen.

WAYDTGKU: Clomid, pnvs, opks, temping
R/R: Still no positive opk. And temps still low. I'm feeling bloated and crampy though so I feel like O has to be close. I knows this is normal for me but can't help but think if my cycles were normal I'd be halfway through the TWW by now. Sorry for the mini pity party.
CS/Q:
This is a difficult question because breakfast food is my favorite! My top savory is Eggs Benedict. My top sweet is Door County Cherry Stuffed French Toast from White Gull Inn.
Traveling home today from visiting the in laws. Too hard to tag so lovetits all around!
