    CD: 4

    WAYDTGKU: All the things

R/R: I got a really big raise yesterday so DH and I went out to dinner to celebrate. Towards the end of it my sister texted and basically said that I'm a terrible daughter for not going to the concert on Saturday and that our parents feel neglected by me and I better spend a lot of time with them this weekend to make up for it. I completely lost it. I texted her back basically spilling my guts about how AF was due so DH was just trying to take care of me because he knew I would be upset and how long we've been trying and how there's a slim chance we'll conceive on our own but really at this point we're waiting for fertility treatments so we can spend thousands of dollars just have one child and that's not even a guarantee that we'll have one. About how everyday is an emotional roller coaster and they have no idea what we're going through right now and that we're just trying our best. How DH didn't explain all this to them because we don't want to burden anyone.

I ended up sobbing in the middle of restaurant and everyone was staring at me. It was horrible. She still hasn't responded with anything which is giving me anxiety. I'm glad I responded the way I did though. It felt nice to just get everything out there.

CS/Q: Emailed OB about the progesterone, just waiting to hear back.

GTKY: What's the tallest building you've been to the top in? The Empire State Building in NYC.

WAYDTGKU: sex stuff and some other stuff

    R/R: I got nothin

    CS/Q:

GTKY: What's the tallest building you've been to the top in? I worked on the 57th floor of 7 World Trade for about a year. I get motion sick pretty easily, and the slight swaying of the building was awful.

ETA: I don't read directions. To the top? I don't know, my own apt building? I think the roof is floor 30?
  • @KariAnn323 Sorry to hear that about your sister. I hate fighting with family. I'm glad you let her know the stress you've been under. Maybe she will be more understanding. Congrats on the raise!

    Month/Cycle: 8/10

    CD: 5

WAYDTGKU: BBT, CBFM, OPKs, PNVs, CM, and HIO

R/R: Rave is that I'm off work on Thursday and Friday, and AF has seen her way out the door! Rant is that I can't temp accurately because my kids keep crawling into bed with us and waking me up during the middle of the night. Thinking of stopping the whole temping thing because of it.

CS/Q: What is the shortest LP that one should consider abnormal?

GTKY: What's the tallest building you've been to the top in? Hmm... I went to one building in OKC that was pretty tall and went to a rooftop bar. I don't remember the name of it though.
  • @KariAnn323 That sounds terrible :( I'm so sorry that happened. And I hate the anxiety of waiting to hear back from someone after sending a vulnerable text. I hope she and your parents will be more understanding.

@charlestonchew Bleh, colds are the worst!

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

CD: 4--AF finally came! New cycle!

WAYDTGKU: finishing up antibiotics in five days and then taking PNVs. Charting, temping.

R/R: it feels like everything is going wrong at the moment. My house has tons of these big flying ants (carpenter ants?). Apparently they get into your house, eat through the wood, and build nests there. I cannot. stand. bugs. So I'm panicking every time I go into a room because I'm worried I'll see one :D plus I've been cramping this period a lot, woke up a half hour before my alarm so I'm exhausted, and TW my best friend is joking about being godfather to future baby and I'm never sure how serious he is with these things. I'd actually want him to be godfather but DH has four brothers sooooo. End TW Basically my head feels like it's a mess :D

CS/Q: can I go back to sleep?

R/R: So we are pushing our trigger shot back and that means we are going to find out if we are pregnant from our first IUI on our 13th anniversary. And I know I am gonna be disappointed and devastated. Womp womp, call me moaning myrtle.

    CS/Q:

GTKY: What's the tallest building you've been to the top in?

One World Trade (the new one, although I had been to the old towers too)- 6th tallest building in the world
  • @therealbitts consistently under 10 I believe is cause for concern. I don't think one wonky cycle is concerning.
  • Month/Cycle:11/9

    CD:1

    WAYDTGKU:bbt,cm,opk,pnv,hio

R/R: AF showed up this morning on the bright side this cycle was shorter then the last two that were about 63 days, this one seemed like a normal  30 day cycle other then not getting CH or temp rise.  :/

    CS/Q:nope

GTKY: What's the tallest building you've been to the top in? not sure haven`t been to many tall buildings
maybe 13 floors which doesn`t sound that tall.
  • Month/Cycle: 4/5

    CD: 9

    WAYDTGKU: BBT, CM/CP, PNV, HIO…

R/R: It’s just now 9:30am and I’m already in a pissy mood. My thermometer decided I had a temperature AGAIN this morning. This whole taking my temp thing in the morning has been super stressful so far and it’s unlikely I’ll do it again next cycle. This caused me to not be able to go back to sleep trying to get a more accurate reading which I guess was good because the insurance adjuster decided it would be fun to come an hour earlier than he said he was going to come. Now I’m exhausted and annoyed with everything at the moment. Doesn’t help I have a dentist appointment today too. Sorry for the crazy rant, just hating everything at the moment. Ugh and my internet keeps cutting out! WTF world?

CS/Q: What the hell is going on with my thermometer? Sounds like I'll need a new one already... having only a week of use.

GTKY: What's the tallest building you've been to the top in? Eiffel tower? or that needle in Seattle? Or St. Paul's Cathedral in London?

@kariann323 – yay for the raise but so sorry for what happened with your sister. I hope that she responds back and apologizes.

@charlestonchew – ugh sorry about your cold! I hope you feel better soon.

@doxiemoxie212 – the tall buildings sway? That’s so weird. I wouldn’t be able to deal with that either.

@therealbitts – enjoy your long weekend! Rooftop bars are my favorite (as long as the weather is nice lol)

@jessicarenee70 – seems we both need a nap and some wine/alcohol of choice. I hope that you get those carpenter ants under control asap!

@kiwi2628 – FX for good news on your anniversary!

@KariAnn323 Congrats on the raise, and I'm so sorry about the rest. I've mentioned this before but mentally I actually had my hardest time when I was in those last couple months before I hit the year mark before we started getting IF testing. So I totally understand what you're going through and how much it sucks. I hope you feel better and that you get some space from your sister.

@kiwi2628 Sorry about the trigger timing. Hope you get good anniversary news instead though!

@mschanandlerbong1214 I haven't used it but my RE said it was a waste of money. It's hitting the 90s here this weekend for the first time this year so I'll be sweating balls with you and begging MH to buy one of those little AC units because I can't suffer in the heat here again for the 4th summer without AC.

R/R: Well I managed more hot Clomid sex yesterday, but between the 4 hours of dental work and the whole catheter in the cervix thing, pretty sure even my Clomid libido won't be strong enough to overcome non sexy feelings over the next 3 days. Oh well!

WAYDTGKU: pnv, bbt and waiting for AF to go

R/R:  well the work situation is out in the open now everyone in the office knows what I know which honestly isn't much and we are all still a little in the dark about what the future holds, but we're all there together (we're a pretty tight group) Rave: I have a second job, that I love, and I'm starting a new project there tonight and I'm so excited about it. Also, flavored coffee and a scone for breakfast bc it's CD 3 and I just don't care. Trying to get back to a positive (or not so negative headspace)

Ugh. I was mid-typing and my phone just shut down at like 90% and hasn't come back to life.

@KariAnn323 I'm so sorry you had to deal with that during what should've been a celebration. I hope your sister responds in a kind and caring way. You and your DH did what is best for you. That is what matters. Sending you creepy internet hugs.

@charlestonchew I hope you feel better soon

@therealbitts I know temping can be a challenge. It has been really helpful for me. I hope you can't find a way to do so despite the disruptions in sleep

@kiwi2628 Sorry the IUI got pushed back. Hoping you won't be disappointed

@justkeepswimming8 perhaps it is just a learning curve with the temping. I worried about temping in the beginning. Just give it some time. You get so much good info/data

@looeeze Nutella is a delicious alternative to a treadmill

@mschanandlerbong1214 I've never used the monitor sorry. Hope you find a way to stray cool

@vflux33 love that gif. We have AC and I still feel like that at times. Yay for the awesome, unexpected side effects. Hoping this is your cycle

  • @justkeepswimming8 it's super mild, but they have to sway or, well, they'd break. Bend or break, etc. It gets really really windy down in the financial district in NY because of all the buildings, so it creates these wind tunnels. I have some great videos from my old office, lol. But yeah, it was enough for me to make me slightly motion sick.
  • Came back to edit that it's actually CD1 for me, not 35  :(

  • @KariAnn323, I'm so sorry! What a hard night! This might sound harsh but I hope your sister learned that you never know what someone else is dealing with in private. That was supposed to be a celebration and she ruined it by bringing up hurtful feelings for you! Hugs! Hang in there!

@charlestonchew, ugh! Being sick is the worst! I hope you feel better soon!

@doxiemoxie212, my fear of heights doesn't work well with swaying tall buildings!

@therealbitts, yay for being off Thursday and Friday! Do you have anything fun planned?

@jessicarenee70, sorry about bugs in the house! Flying ones aren't good! If have the creeps all the time!

@kiwi2628, happy almost anniversary! I'm hoping for great news. I'm sorry things are getting pushed back. :(

@stargazer1lily, sorry about CD1. I'm glad you had a shorter cycle. Maybe you'll get both a short AND ovulation cycle this month, FX!

@justkeepswimming8, I'm sorry your thermometer is being a pain. I'm with you on issues with mine (see my rant). I bought a new one today. PITA!

@looeeze, lol I'm an all or nothing girl, so your no treadmill but Nutella comments sounds like me. "Can't walk so might as well eat yummy things!"

R/R: I'm feeling frustrated today. I was up at 1 this morning and had trouble falling back to sleep. Then I got the third straight day of exactly the same temperature (97.08), so I ran out to buy a new thermometer. Hopefully it hasnt messed up my tracking this month. Now I have EWCM but DH is working 48 hours. I'm hoping my body holds off ovulation for a few days!

Rave: I'm about to get a nap. Hopefully I'll wake up in a better mood!

CS/Q: This is a dumb question and I'm going to chalk it up to being tired, but when your temp spikes you ovulated the day before, right? For TTC purposes there isn't much use in HIO, right?

GTKY: What's the tallest building you've been to the top in? I'm not sure. My mom used to work in high rises so I've been up high. I don't like heights though so I try to avoid them!

@justkeepswimming8 what brand of thermometer are you using? Sorry for all the stupidity it's giving you <3

@Stargazer1lily Sorry abt AF. Glad it was a not - crazy long cycle though.

@Avrilmai It's nice that you have that camaraderie in your office, despite the uncertainty.

@kiwi2628 MM was always up for a good time though! :)

  • @JNCPro3130 Thanks!! I hate the flying ones! Hope the timing works out for you!

@purplg8r They're so gross! Apparently there's some poison traps you can get at Home Depot--the carpenter ants will be attracted to the poison food and bring it back to the nest and they'll all die. So it's morbid but necessary! :D Sorry you're having a rough time with H :/ but glad you got some reassurance!

@charlestonchew Oh no! I hope you start feeling better soon.
    @therealbitts Enjoy your days off!
@kiwi2628 *Hugs* I'm sorry with how things are working out timing wise. I'm hopeful for you that this IUI is the only one you have to do and you get good news on your anniversary.
@justkeepswimming8 I'm sorry nothing seems to be going right today. FX it gets better.
    @looeeze Nutella is amazing!

@mschanandlerbong1214 I never used the fertility monitor, but I used the Clearblue Advanced Digital OPKs. Honestly, I found it to be a huge waste of money. The Wondfos work just as well. Granted I don't know what sort of extras the fertility monitor has.
@vflux33 Thank you so much for your kind words. Sometimes I worry that people will think I'm getting ahead of myself because there is still a chance that fertility treatments won't be necessary. At this point though I'd rather start getting my ducks in a row and saving money for treatment and not need it than wait for the end of cycle 12 to figure out what is next. Especially since there are only two REs in the area and only one accepts my insurance.
@Avrilmai I'm glad today is going better than yesterday. Scones are delicious
    @JNCPro3130 Yay for naps!
@purplg8r *Hugs* I'm sorry YH is being a Grumpy McGrumperson. I'm glad you were able to talk to SIL about your ectopic. She sounds like a wonderful resource.

AFM: My sister texted me back this morning on my way to work. She basically said that it's our fault and that they don't know what they don't know. I know she's right, but the way the she phrased it came off really harsh. DH and I talked about it and we're going to talk to my parents tonight and explain the gist of what's going on and where we're at, but that we prefer not to talk about it. And just ask that they understand that sometimes we're not going to be up to doing things or we might cancel last minute.

OB's office got back and said that I needed to come in for a follow-up. They can't get me in until July 28th which seems like forever. Worst comes to worst though I'll be in the middle of cycle 11. Maybe at the same time we can get the official referral for the RE so we can get an appointment scheduled (it'll probably be a 6-8 week wait) and maybe some initial testing ordered. Just looking for the positives.

CD: 25 today, hopefully AF tomorrow or the next day. I'm trying to see how long my LP is. I ovulated on CD 15 but I'm trying to lengthen my LP to 12 days hopefully...

WAYDTGKU: PNV, EPO, OPK, temping, yoga, meditation, fertility diet, everything I can thing of for best possible outcome.

R/R: Rant: working on my anxiety and coming off anti- depressants/ anti- anxiety medication has been SO much harder than I thought it ever would be. Rave: just.. feeling hopeful and excited for this cycle.

    CS/Q:

GTKY: What's the tallest building you've been to the top in? The Calgary Tower? It has a glass floor and DH would not go on it but my father in law did with so much confidence the first time, then was too scared to do it again...lol
  • Month/Cycle: 2/2 NTNP  after some benched months ALs

    CD: 9

    WAYDTGKU: temping and OPKs

R/R: i'm off on PTO today! I love those days ;-) My only rant today is got a VM from my endo's office that my TSH is ok for TTC. which is low. and my OB had said months ago that she wanted me on the higer end of 'ok'. i wish drs would take it upon themselves to communicate with each other in these types of situations.

    CS/Q: nope

GTKY: What's the tallest building you've been to the top in? i honestly have no idea. i don't think i've been to the top of any really tall buildings.

@kariann323 i'm so sorry about that! i actually had a big blow out with a family member a few weeks ago so i know the exactly anxiety you're feeling. that stuff hurts so bad but i'm glad you said you're peace! its what you have to do!! i think talking to your parents is a good idea.

@justkeepswimming8 hope your day gets better!

@jncpro3130 if i have it in me, i do sometimes try to HIO even on the spike day. only cause i'm paranoid that that spike was a fluke and my temp will go back down... since you can't confirm O till you get 3 highs.

  • @mschanandlerbong1214 RE didn't elaborate but she said the OPKs that show you an estrogen rise are wastes of money too. I'm in northern California, but not super north and it actually gets pretty hot here but for some reason AC is very uncommon here especially in old rental houses like ours  :/

@purplg8r Sorry about the fighting with YH. Glad you got a free second opinion from the OB--I hope it puts you at ease a bit.

@KariAnn323 Totally common to get a referral ~ month 11 b/c you probably won't get in right away (hopefully you either never have to make that appointment or can cancel, of course).

@catlady1215 Yay for PTO! I totally feel you about the doctor communication. My PCP and RE completely disagree on what type of PNV I should be on and it's really annoying to decide to "side" with one.

    Month/Cycle: 5/5

    CD: 14

WAYDTGKU: PNV, OPK, diet and exercise

R/R: I liked the new OBGYN I saw yesterday!.. she was very supportive and answered all my questions without making me feel crazy haha... that's always nice!

Q: Edited to add bc im kind of paranoid... and I hope this isn't upsetting to anyone... I'm asking admitting I don't know much about it...
the OB offered to make a referral to fertility specialist. I declined bc it's only month 5. I would ask for one at 10 bc I know it takes awhile to get in... but now I'm paranoid I'm missing something??? ... doesn't it seem early? DH is on the older side for conceiving but that shouldn't matter, right? AMA is all they worry about? I've never heard of APA slapped on a patient charT

GTKY: What's the tallest building you've been to the top in? Empire State Building in high school. I hate elevators so I avoid most tall buildings haha...

  • @KariAnn323 so sorry! That sounds really awful. *hugs!* But congrats on your raise!

@mschanandlerbong1214 ugh so sorry about AF :-/

  • @vflux33 oh shit I just reread my post and that was a total typo. It should say I hope this IS your cycle. Cuz what it said before was totally bitchy and mean. Yikes!

  • @justkeepswimming8 I was using a cheap one from CVS a few months back that gave me some really wonky readings. I ditched it and got the Mabis and it's been much more consistent. If you switch it up, I hope it helps!
  • @Avrilmai No worries-- I figured it was a typo.  :)
