If you are a contributing member with a BFP this week, please share your success with us here!
How do you know if you're a contributing member? 1. Ask your heart. 2. Do these people know you? Will they be happy about your pregnancy? 3. Have you offered support to others or have you just blasted your own info out there? 4. Really, if you're a 1/1 or a 2/2 and it's not like you were around when you were benched or prior to TTC, maybe just move on. Even if you have participated daily for a month and offered tons of support. Sometimes the silence is kindest. Those of us who lurk BMBs, we'll see your intro and PM/comment/love tit. 5. Again, take a moment and step away from your excitement and ask your heart if posting would be potentially hurtful. ---------------------------------------------------------------
This thread has mild restrictions - thread is primarily BFP announcements but doesn't allow for direct questions or lengthy/personalized congrats in the comments. Use the "Love It" button, "congrats!", "H&H 9 months!", "I was hoping this was your month!" and other short & sweet notes.
Regular board rules apply - this is not the place to ask if you are pregnant based off your symptoms or for second opinions on your tests. We do invite you to contribute in the daily TWW and WTO threads and discussions. This community gives back tenfold what you put into it!

CD/DPO of first BFP?
How many months/cycles had you been TTGP?
What did your chart look like?
What were you doing TGKU?
How was your timing?
What symptoms did you have, if any (CS & CD breakdowns welcome)?
How are you going to/did you tell your partner?
Anything else to add?
Me: 31 DH: 32 Dating since: 11/17/2001 Married: 9/26/2009 TTC: June 2016
I can't believe I'm doing this. I'm so nervous just typing this. Today was my beta, so it's "official."
CD/DPO of first BFP? Technically 6dp5dt (11DPO). Beta today was 565.
How many months/cycles had you been TTGP? Between 6 months benched and my long cycles I have no idea, but 26 months total.
What did your chart look like? N/A because IVF, but I did chart before that!
What were you doing TGKU? Injections. Lots of lots of injections. Then a doctor stuck a needle in a very sensitive area, sucked out my eggs, then used a different (hopefully) needle to inject my husband's sperm into those eggs. Then after more injections that hurt a lot more, they put the embryo in me and voila! Easy, right? But really, I had 5 eggs retrieved, 3 were mature, and just one little engine that could made it to 5-day blast. We did PGS, and it thankfully came out normal.
How was your timing? Pretty darn good.
What symptoms did you have, if any (CS & CD breakdowns welcome)? Everything I have is largely due to the Del Estrogen and progesterone shots. The biggest thing is my boobs are absolutely KILLING me. So PSA for those who think sore boobs are a surefire sign of early pregnancy: No. Not even a little bit. It's the progesterone. Now, the past few days I've been exhausted, but that could be H's 4am wake up call making me tired...So I'm a symptom-spotting ruiner
How are you going to/did you tell your partner? As I said above I got my first BFP on 6dp5dt, but the line was soooo incredibly faint and I read it outside the time window, so I didn't trust it. The next morning I took another Wondfo and the line was more visible, a clear positive if not really that dark, so I felt safe calling it a true BFP. We don't stand on ceremony much, and I hate to know something so personal that he doesn't know, so I called him before I left the house for work and told him I caved, tested, and it was positive. His reaction, "Alright!" After two years I was just so relieved to get that BFP and share it with him that I didn't do anything cute. Since then he's been rubbing my belly and asking how his "seed" is doing.
Anything else to add? TTGP is my home. When I started lurking two years ago I didn't know anything about temping or OPKs, or really anything at all. I learned so much from those women (and everyone here now and since) and without them I wouldn't have been able to go to my doctor armed with the knowledge I had. So I could definitively say "Yes, I am ovulating and I'm still not pregnant, so something is wrong" without any condescending glance from her. I knew to take Advil before the HSG and SHG. I knew what all the numbers meant when my doc told me my hormone levels. I knew what H's SA results meant, so even when the doc diminished them, I knew our chances weren't good. When my doc asked if I had any questions my answer was no, because the Bump women answered them for me already. I'm sure he was confused by how well I even knew about the IVF process. I wouldn't have made it here without you guys, and I'll be lurking and will provide any information I can to newbs, because the IF/IVF struggle is lonely and real, and it helped me so much knowing I wasn't alone, as much as I hated that others struggled with me. This community is a lifeline for so many, and even more who never sign up but just read our posts and learn so much. I love you guys.

Ahhhhh!!!! Huge CONGRATULATIONS @eggplantface!!!!!!!! This put a big smile on my face. We'll miss you, but I am so happy to hear that you won't be regularly updating us in the IF thread, H&H 9 months to you!!!
Cautiously optimistic. We had a beta done today and it came back 164!
CD/DPO of first BFP? 26/13 it was the first test, so there was some thought that maybe the trigger was still hanging around, so gave it a few more days, tested again and got the first beta.
How many months/cycles had you been TTGP? 20 months
What did your chart look like? Only temped a few days because of the meds.
What were you doing TGKU? ha a bizzallion things, this cycle was vitamins (CoQ10, Vitamin D, Folate, PNV), synthroid for elevated TSH, cabergoline for elevated prolactin, 2 antibiotics for endometritis, baby aspirin, OPK, trigger, IUI, progesterone, and ironically no TI
How was your timing? we had IUI day after trigger and that was it
What symptoms did you have, if any (CS & CD breakdowns welcome)? All the normal symptoms with progesterone: acne, sore boobs, waking early. I got an Apple Watch this cycle though, and I noticed I had elevated heart rate about 7dpiui, just slight and not consistent, but it was one of the SS that I googled. The only other thing was for a few days in the second week of TWW I felt like my uterus was bruised. It was tender when my jeans would press on it. (I know sounds crazy, I actually thought it might be because the abx).
How are you going to/did you tell your partner? Some women collect baby things along their IF journey, I would pick up a thing here or there for the surprise telling. I had a mug that says new daddy needs coffee, and MH once mentioned that he had a stuffed kermit growing up that he loved, I went back to the Disney store the next day and bought it while he was at work. That was over a year ago, and it has remained hidden in my drawer all this time, waiting for the day I could tell him. I took the test when I woke up early and waited hours for him to wake up. I have pink and blue 3x5 cards and wrote a message on them for him and propped them up with Kermit on the kitchen table. I got a video of him walking into the room seeing the cards and the Kermit! It is priceless!
Anything else to add? This community has been the best support I have found on our IF journey. You encouraged me to be my own advocate, to find a responsive RE, and to learn more about the science behind it all. On rough days you allowed me the space to wallow or recoup, and encouraged me to no end. I hope I have given back even a portion of what I have received. I have missed you all even just for the past few days that I was lurking, and will continue to lurk and cheer you on!
