    How big is baby? Squash

Any upcoming appointments this week? Regular appointment Friday

Any new symptoms or cravings this week? I've been starting to get painful contractions that feel like the ones I had in labor last time. I get them every few days. I plan to mention it at my appointment but I'm sure they'll just brush me off. Hoping this baby plans to stay put til our RCS date. Fatigue is circling  back around and I'm starting to feel extra heavy and out of breath. Nooooooo!

Rants/Raves/Questions? DH finally helped me hang a few things in the nursery that I had been waiting for him to. It's almost finished!

GTKY:  If you could choose your age forever, what age would you choose and why? Hmm... I guess maybe like 25. You can basically do everything you want at that age (including rent a car for cheaper lol) and that was the year I got married so I have a fondness for that age. I want my babies though... but my body and mind can stay 25 :)

How big is baby?  A foam finger

Upcoming appointments this week?  Not until June 22nd where it's a normal check up but more nerve racking since they'll be double checking my growth and baby's growth since my glucose results weren't idea

Any new symptoms or changes or cravings? My acne is still out of control. Buuuut my nausea has finally gone away it seems!!! It only too 30 weeks in to get to the point where I can eat a whole meal without feeling gross afterward!

Rants/Raves/Questions?  Nursery is almost totally complete! I wanted to make sure that it was done plenty early since I know that I would worry if it were even another month from now. I'm weird.

GTKY: If you could choose your age forever, what age would you choose and why?  Probably 24. I was an adult but I also still had a lot of fun with my DH and I was playing a lot of soccer!

@middy411 what date is your RCS scheduled for? I hope that baby stays in there until that date!  Being a FTM, one of my irrational fear and is that I won't know when they're reeeeal contractions.

  • @middy411 @mokay19 yay for nurseries being almost done!

How far along are you? 29 weeks

How big is baby? Acorn squash

Any upcoming appointments this week? Nope! Not till the end of June.

Any new symptoms or cravings this week? Still the same reflux, sore hips/thighs when I wake up. Can't complain bc I know it could be worse!

Rants/Raves/Questions? Passed my glucose screen last week! Was after the ticker change so I didn't mention it. I had my first shower this weekend (have to have one at home and one in DH's home state) and I got all my major stuff- pack  play, stroller system, swing, etc. which gave ne a sense of relief. And I wrote all my thank yous to get them out of the way- just have to mail them!

GTKY:  If you could choose your age forever, what age would you choose and why? 20- carefree and in college long enough to be enjoying it and far enough away from the "real world" stuff to worry about (aka job, life, bills).

@mokay19 My RCS is Aug 2! I thought I would hate knowing "the birthday" but it actually made me really excited! DH's birthday is less than 2 weeks after. I was nervous about not recognizing contractions when I was a FTM as well. I was lucky and my water broke as my first sign of labor. My contractions were never very painful and I didn't even start to feel them til I was about 5cm and about 7 hours into labor with Pitocin. I think I'm one of those rare lucky women who has pretty mild pain in comparison to the stories I've heard. But it does stress me out that what I've been feeling could be more serious than I realize...

@szwill86 yay for passing glucose AND having a shower! That's a lot of things to be thankful for. Especially that you got big useful items (my showers with my first were kind of a bust of people getting me random stuff we didn't want/need... but I tried to stay thankful lol)
  • @middy411 that's also exciting to know the date!  I hope your doctors can ease your mind or give some answers about the contractions. Sometimes the doctors being relaxed about things makes me nervous even though it should probably calm me down haha

@szwill86 glad to hear that you passed the glucose! I'm super jealous haha I was so confident going into it and then I failed. I miss all the carbs and desserts!!!

@middy411 and @mokay19 - yes on the nursery! Such a great feeling to be so close. I just need DH to finish organizing his closet (which is in the guest bedroom/nursery) and we have to hang some of the decor.

    How big is baby? Zucchini

Any upcoming appointments this week? Nope

Any new symptoms or cravings this week? Definitely feeling the shortness of breath. Is nesting a symptom? I'm sewing, in full blown organization mode, and reading books on pregnancy/childbirth/breastfeeding, etc.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Already shared in the FTM thread so I won't duplicate here.

GTKY:  If you could choose your age forever, what age would you choose and why? Probably 26. 25 still feels young for some reason.

  • @kvh22 yes nesting is for sure a symptom! Mine has been so bad I've been wanting to redesign every room in the house. DH may kill me if one more package comes from Wayfair...  :#
  • @kvh22 what are you sewing? I was thinking about making a minky blanket once school is out next week, but maybe you have some better ideas that I could copy to keep me busy :)

@szwill86 I'm making burp cloths, mittens, and soft toy blocks. I might add some taggies to the blocks with ribbon I have around the house. I have 5 or 6 blankets at this point (various sizes/uses, including a small quilt, a fleece tie blanket, and a minky blanket from my shower) so I don't think I need more. I am hand sewing everything so that I can practice my skills. The small quilt I received didn't actually have the quilting on it. My friend who made it gave me the thread to do the little ties but I fell in love with a quilt design that I'm going to do by hand on it instead.

I don't have the patience for hand sewing (besides hand stitching closures when needed). Let us know how everything turns out!
