When we first got pregnant I had one of my sister's living with me.  She is an addict.  She came to my house on Friday to get her remaining stuff and was wearing a sleeveless top.  Both arms are bruised up and down and it is quite apparent she has moved on to intravenous drug use.  So she is a big old TW.  I don't even know how to begin to help her.

@av2323 wow, that is horrendous I am so sorry. It must be so difficult to want to help your family but not know how, especially since it seems like she will just be doing what she wants no matter what. I hope one day she's able to stop.

My neighbors right across the street lighting off fireworks at 9:30p last night completely terrifying my son who woke up screaming and shaking. It took a lot to calm him down enough to go back to sleep. 1. not the 4th of july. 2. ILLEGAL 3. drunk and high inconsiderate ass hats.

The flipping people in my damn shared temporary office. I am trying to be a team players guys but watching people spend 90% of their day on fb or shopping, wandering in whenever they feel like it and THEN telling me I am too loud on the phone with a faculty when I am doing a protocol review (my freakin job) and the reason I am being loud is bc the caller can't hear me over the background chatter,  giggles, clapping and.general BS. God I hate this damn temporary space.

I got a warning from one of the potty shot guess threads. Check your inboxes ladies, because a bunch more of us show up as having TOU violations.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

I'm so sorry. I am surprised she would wear a sleeveless shirt if she was IVDU they usually try to hide it better. I hope she finds recovery sooner rather than later.

@av2323 this hit me, hard. My brother was an abuser for many years. I told him that until he can admit his addiction he could not be a part of mine or my families life. He finally admitted his addiction a year later and got help. Once he did I allowed him to stay with DH and I to get back on his feet. He did amazing and got his life back on track and stayed clean! We were all so proud of him. One afternoon this past July, I went to his room because he hadn't come out for the day yet. When I entered his room, there he was, laying on the floor ... he had been there since the night before. He was only 36. He relapsed. The only thing I can suggest is that you just have to leave them be until they decide they want help. You cannot force it, it won't work.

The dogs are my TW. The little one has lost the priveledge of being out of his crate at night or wandering the house alone. Now both were outside digging up the yard. So made because I don't have enough to fill in the hole they made which is at the edge of a brick patio and the brick is completely exposed.
We desperately need a fence to set our property boundary as out neighbors have been using ours and to be able to make a fenced in dog area to leave the dogs outside.

@MaximumEffort my dogs are mine too! They've just been ridiculous lately and now we're pretty sure our oldest dog is sick..I think she has a UTI but I'm not sure. DH and I work opposite shifts so neither of us know what's going on or how to even get an appt with the vet since we don't kno when the other person will be free to take her. I noticed her being off today so I'm hoping he can call tomorrow morning and we can get her in.

I was organizing my bathroom cabinet and came across a perfume sample I had gotten in an upstairs bag or something. Against my better judgement, I sprayed it to see what it smells like...that perfume is my TW right now. SO STRONG ugh.

My TW is my DH. He's currently at home, but not "at home". He came home a little early, but now he's working, and snapping at the kids that he needs them to be quiet. Seriously? The 4 yr old and the 1 yr old are supposed to understand that you need absolute silence because you're working? If you are going to be home, then be home. If you still need to work, then go back to work, you can have all the quiet you need there.

The maternity clothing industry is a TW and the lack of actual stores. I have yet to find a pair of tall maternity jeans. I bought some things online but shipping is taking forever and everything u try on at the store looks absolutely ridiculous.

@MaximumEffort I have the same problem, my Motherhood jeans look like high waters on me. I was thinking about trying Loft, their jeans are typically pretty long. Not sure about their maternity ones.

Old Navy tall jeans - these might be worth a try!  Old Navy jeans, in general, have never fit me. (Okay, I've only tried a couple times in my life.)  But their maternity jeans fit me like a glove!  And obviously so affordable.  Good luck:)

@cwalker042 I'm so sorry for what you had to deal with and for the loss of your brother. @av2323 I can sympathize completely with what you're going through with your sister. One of my much younger brothers is an addict. It started out slow, taking pills here or there, then he moved on to IV drugs. Soon after things got really bad. He has crashed multiple cars, lost jobs, got caught stealing from one of his jobs and got arrested, has been in and out of rehabs, and has ruined his relationship with most of our family and his friends. My mother, who I don't talk to, enables him. Gives him money, lets him use her car, lets him live with her. I don't speak with him anymore because I don't want him around my kids. But it is so difficult when I do see him at family gatherings (if he shows up), because he's almost always high and I can physically see the effects on his body. He has been offered multiple opportunities to get help. He doesn't want it. And until he wants out of that lifestyle, trying to help is a futile process.
