We're finalizing the adoption for our sweet boy next month, and need to make a decision on his name. I keep second guessing my choice. Here's our list:
1. Rory (Would either be Rory as a standalone name, or Rory short for Robert) 2. Owen 3. Finn 4. Ciaran
Middle name options: Miller, Delany, Thomas- all family names.
Our last name starts with an R, and though I think Rory is my top name, the double R might have too much alliteration. Robert/Rory would be after my dad.
I really like Rory standalone. As long as the surname doesn't end with the same ending as Rory I think it would be fine. Rory Richardson for example no issue. Rory Thomas is great!
If Rory is a family name and you love it then go with it. I don't mind the two Rs for first and last. I'm not a Rory fan because all I can think of is Gilmore girls and that show drives me up a tree but there isn't anything wrong with the name, that's just my personal bias. I like Ciaran the best out of the names you listed.
