@pebbledam I don't mind sharing. I started a home staging business last year. I provide all the furnishings and everything for my clients. It's still in the "new" phase which might be why it bothers me so much when clients who say they love my work aren't willing to pay a sustainable rate.

Whenever I start getting mopey about his travel schedule though, I try to think of all those women who's husbands are deployed and that makes me check myself pretty hard. I still have half of our main floor powder room wallpaper to remove and I'm procrastinating hard. It's disgusting. This room is harder than the others that we've done in that there are 2 layers of wallpaper! A paper layer and a glue paper layer. So. Much. Glue. I have to go at it with a steamer and a putty knife and I'm not about it. But I've got to get on it because my mom, sister, and grandma are coming this weekend and we've got the toilet tank off and it's the only main floor bathroom besides the one in our bedroom.
CS/Q: Nope.

R/R: *TW My sister, who's currently KU, is a hypochondriac. I think my parents forgot how much more this quality is amplified when she's KU. She's still in early days so I get why she's scared and don't want to dismiss her fears or be unsupportive. I think all 3 of us are having a hard time right now trying to listen to her fears and support her without feeding some of the less logical fears. It's a tough balance. Priority 1, of course, is she gets through this and that everyone's healthy, but I also want her to stop giving my parents a heart attack. They're both pushing 70 and she's constantly calling them and putting everyone in a panic (she does this when not KU too--it's just worse now). *End TW CS/Q: GTKY: What's your favorite outdoor activity? Hiking--I like easy walking too, but I dig mountains and some difficulty--makes me feel like I've earned it. Also some of the best views take effort to get to.

CS/Q:
GTKY: What's your favorite outdoor activity? floating in a pool reading a book. Reading outside, by/in water is my favorite. I read SO many books during the summer and I love it.
R/R: *TW* My 5 year old son has behavior
issues. He is generally hyperactive, doesn’t
listen, and he has angry tantrums when he can’t have his way. He is supposed to start Kinder this fall, but
I’m having second thoughts about whether he is ready. I know a lot of his behaviors are “normal”
little boy behaviors, but the school we’re sending him to has strict policies
and I’m concerned that they won’t know how OR WANT to deal with him when he
gets upset, and just remove him from the classroom. We dealt with this at several preschools in
the last year. So, I started researching
behavior specialists so we could get some help/therapy to learn to help him
cope and self-soothe and I came across a program that offers a Kindergarten
Readiness program for kids JUST like my son.
The problem is that it costs nearly $300 per week and the school is an
hour away from home. I would totally
make the sacrifice for the next 2.5 months to help my little guy, but DH isn’t
so easily convinced. *End TW*
CS/Q: None today
GTKY: What's your favorite outdoor activity? I really
dislike being outdoors, but if I must, sitting under a tree with a good book or
swimming would probably be my favorites.

AliW220 – I go
through the EXACT same thing with my job.
Every few months I do this. It’s super annoying. I would LOVE to garden, but I don’t know to
get started. Plus I live in AZ and I don’t know if the summer heat will kill
everything.
KariAnn323
– FX for nice weather for you this weekend.
We only have “nice” weather a few months out of the year, but a picnic
sounds amazing right now (before it gets blazing hot).
Stargazer1lily –
sounds like the *perfect* way to wake up! Ugh….
@kbamomma33 I own all the furniture I use so I either put it in a storage unit when they house sells or it goes directly to another house. Ideally the second option although that doesn't happen as often as I would like. Also, how rude/lazy of the previous homeowners to put wallpaper on top of wallpaper! Such a hassle.
It stinks so many of us are annoyed with work this week! Hopefully the weather is nice this weekend and everyone can get outside to do their favorite activities. A book by the pool (preferably with a mimosa in hand) sounds divine right about now.
@vflux33 I always dig your posts - you have a great sense of humor and writing style! That gif is spot on. And, sorry your sister is being a douchenob. I don't deal with hypochondriacs very well, so I can't imagine having to deal with it with someone who's KU right now.
@Avrilmai ugh, being in work limbo sucks! I hope you get some answers soon (and hopefully get to keep your job).
@vflux33 Sorry about your sister. My BFF is like that when KU and it is so draining!
@lund is that you in the pictures?? I'm seriously impressed!
@kbamomma33 yes they're such great dogs! My german shepherd still follows me around when I'm sick and TW when I had my loss she was glued to my side end TW
@Avrilmai - oh no! not knowing if you'll be cut or not is such a horrible feeling. I agree, I'm the type that just wants to know now, and get it done and over with. Sorry you're dealing with that right now
Me: 29 DH: 33 Married April 1st 2017 DS #1: May 2009 DS #2: Jan 2012
@ladybugsamom I'm sorry you're dealing with behavioral issues. My nephew has some (slightly different) issues and they ended up putting him into another preschool program (about the same cost I think) and waiting an extra year for kindergarten because his conversational skills were a bit behind. He's finishing up that extra year now and has improved a lot and has been told he's better prepared for kindergarten now. Don't know what's best for you, but just putting that out there. I hope you and YH can come to an agreement about it! It's always hard to not be on the same page.
Aww thanks, @lund. I always dig your posts too! *Maybe TW?* As far as my sister goes, I feel bad for her, but she is seriously insane. In college she had the symptoms for ebola taped to her dorm room door (not joking). She isn't getting the IF stuff and how it may be tough for me to have 900 conversations about whether it's normal she isn't having MS (which she never had in previous successful pregnancies). She called my dad on Sunday 50 times worried about face paralysis (had no clue this was even a thing but I guarantee you she does NOT have it). When she was KU with my nephew her OB made her promise to stay off the internet. My mom and I were talking and we're worried if something ever IS wrong none of us will believe it because we're so used to her crying wolf!
Side note--she has told me "don't go on pregnancy forums--they're so mean!" so I'm pretty sure she was one of the really bad TTGP AW drive-by's once upon a time
***lurking from TWW*** @kbamomma33, we had some success with removing wallpaper with a spray bottle with warm water and vinegar. Maybe add a bit of vinegar to your steamer ( but watch out for inhaling that and getting it in your eyes)

@vflux33 Ok that sounds utterly ridiculous. Like, I actually wish you'd tell her to try TB again just so that we can flame her for her ridiculousness. Again. It sounds like she needs to either a.) get shut down HARD, or b.) get on anxiety meds.
@lund Yeah, she went off Zoloft and may be worse now because of that. I go back and forth thinking she needs more meds and wondering if part of it is a need for attention (and needs to get shut down hard). Still not sure. May be a combo of the 2. She's one of those people who always has the biggest crisis in the room and that hasn't changed when she's been on meds in the past. My mom told me to just start ignoring her texts.
@lund Sorry your body is mad at you for working out but, good for you for getting in the cardio. I need to get more regular with mine real bad. Patio drinking is a solid outdoor activity. Good call. And those equestrian pictures are impressive! Seriously, so cool. I'm so glad that you are getting back into it!
@vflux33 You really sound like such a good sister and daughter. Your fam is very lucky to have you. Sorry your sister is kind of being a PIA right now though.
@Avrilmai Ugh- sorry that work is draining you right now. That really does sound stressful. I hope all that stuff is over soon. And yes yes yes to reading in/ by the water!
@ladybugsamom I'm so sorry that you are going through behavioral issues/ problems. That has got to be so tough. The KRP sounds like it would hopefully be a great step and helpful solution, as well as a worthy sacrifice. FX that you can get YH on board with it.
@icecubeinthedesert Oh yeah! Thanks so much for the vinegar suggestion. I feel like that will probably help a ton if I put some in my steamer. I'm going to try that tonight!
@heatherdubrow Aw, that's so sweet about your German shepherd staying by your side. It breaks my heart, but it's such a testament to how intuitive and loving dogs are. When we went through ours, our pitbull and even our lab (who isn't very loving in general) were right by me every second. I'm a pretty outgoing person in social situations but, truthfully, most of the time I'd just rather be with my dogs.

P&G. I have a massive assignment due in 2 weeks. Must work now. I might be back later for comments or to defend myself against the possible backlash from my rant. If not, then I'll update ya'll tomorrow after my tests. Or not. Not sure yet. I came to this community to build relationships, but I really felt unwelcome and unsupported on Saturday. If you don't like me or are annoyed by my emotions, just ignore any posts of mine that are too emotional for your taste. ***TW pregnancy mentioned*** For the record, my SIL is KU. Did I cry about it on and off for a day because I'm jealous and sad for myself? Yes. But am I happy for her and excited to be an aunt? Yes. Have I already started looking for cute onesies for her baby? Yes. I love my future niece/nephew. I'm not a sociopath who can only think of herself. **end TW** For those of you who said "you've only been trying for 2 cycles" - yes, that's true. But I was also "benched" for 2 years before that because of a serious mental illness that medication had trouble controlling (I wanted desperately to TTC during that time but knew I could not do so). So yeah, seeing everyone I know get to move on with having a family while I floundered in depression for two years and then finally getting well enough to start TTC and immediately having a problem is a pretty big blow. But please, beat up on me some more for feeling sorry for myself for a whole entire day and asking for some support from ya'll.
CS/Q: I lost my CH today. Looks like I didn't ovulate this cycle after all. I was hoping last cycle was a fluke from just getting off of the pill, but....now I'm not so sure. I guess I'll find out more tomorrow. I'll admit that I cried when FF took away my CH. Because that's what I do, apparently.
GTKY: What's your favorite outdoor activity? Walking. Fairly boring, I know. I also like gardening but have a black thumb.
@sunniegrly We all support whatever decision you make about being a part of this community. I'm not trying to beat you up or kick you out the door. But no one called you annoying, or too emotional, or too anything. In fact, many members admitted to going through the same emotions. Everyone was trying to comfort you. Some tried by saying "that sucks" while others thought maybe putting things in a different perspective would help make you feel better. Everyone who tried a different approach prefaced it by saying they were coming from a place of love and if it didn't help, to ignore them. But no one tried to invalidate your feelings or ostracize you. Again, if you decide this isn't the community for you, that's your choice. I just hope you don't see this as a room of unsupportive villains when everyone was trying to be there for you the best way they knew how.
I know you've been through a lot these past 2 years. I hope the worst is behind you and that your TTC journey is relatively easy and short. Waiting sucks. IF sucks. Not being pregnant when we want to sucks. Seeing other people have what you want sucks. For some of us, being around other people who understand that helps it sucks less. If that's not for you, then I understand. Wishing you the best either way.
Hey @sunniegrly. I'm sorry that you're not feeling good about your situation, and that you're not feeling welcome here. I really don't think anyone in the conversation last weekend, myself included, meant to upset or offend you. People go through different experiences and develop different views and angles on situations. Different people offered different ways to view your situation, in the hope of bringing up viewpoints you may not have considered as a way of helping. Maybe those things didn't help you, in your view, and that's fair if that's how you feel. But no one was trying to make your life more difficult. You have every right to your emotions and I get that not everyone has a smooth road to TTC (I didn't either). But if you think people were "beating up on you", we must've been reading different threads. No one called you names, said you were heartless, too emotional, or discounted your feelings regarding your family. No one said you had no right to feel what you feel.
I maintain that the most important thing here is that you should avoid situations you know will increase your pain and won't help you or the people around you, and eat ice cream. I hope you did that, and that you ate some amazing ice cream. I hope there were sprinkles, cones, and chocolate sauce, and I hope it was fucking delicious.
You are welcome here if you want to stay. And I honestly think everyone wishes you the best either way. I'm sorry you're having a rough go lately and I hope things turn around for you.

GTKY: Growing up, I loved riding horses (hey there @flashley-2 and @lund), but now I live in the city and have no horses. It's something I would like to get back into some day. For now I think my favorite outdoor activity is literally walking around new neighborhoods and looking at architecture and people!

R/R: mom/dog come today, but that means I have to ACTUALLY clean this apt. I spent so much time doing laundry yesterday and folding, etc., but now I have to vacuum, clean the kitchen, ugh ugh ugh. ALSO my temps are still low, I finally turned an OPK positive this morning, but I'm annoyed. While I do not mind banging at my mom's house, I don't love doing it when she visits us because the guest room is on the other side of a very thin wall from our bedroom. Hopefully my temp spikes tomorrow and we can be done lol.

@KariAnn323 I love picnics!
@SkilledSailor That is so cool that you have a home staging business! I geek out over all things interior design/decor. I'm curious though, when you say that you provide all the furniture, where does it come from? Do you rent it all? What do you do with everything once the house is sold and you are done with it?
@Stargazer1lily Cat barf.
@pebbledam FX that it's O time and HIO is successful!!
@doxiemoxie212 Sorry that you might have to quiet bang with you mom in the next room. That's always awk. Hopefully you'll get that temp spike tomorrow!

R/R: I'm feeling blah today because DH is gone.
CS/Q: Nope.
GTKY: I love being outside! Anything outside with my family is my favorite, unless it's hot as balls, which it has been lately. We have a lot of walking trails and national parks around here, so I really like going for brisk walks when it's nice out.

*End TW

AliW220 – I go through the EXACT same thing with my job. Every few months I do this. It’s super annoying. I would LOVE to garden, but I don’t know to get started. Plus I live in AZ and I don’t know if the summer heat will kill everything.
KariAnn323 – FX for nice weather for you this weekend. We only have “nice” weather a few months out of the year, but a picnic sounds amazing right now (before it gets blazing hot).
Stargazer1lily – sounds like the *perfect* way to wake up! Ugh….
pebbledam – FX for O!!
doxiemoxie212 - Yay for positive OPK. FX for a temp spike for you!
kbamomma33 - good luck with the wallpaper removal. I’d probably hire someone to do it for me. I hate that kind of thing.
heatherdubrow – YAY! FX for you that all goes well…
lund - Ugh… I hope the pain goes away to make the process easier for you.
It stinks so many of us are annoyed with work this week! Hopefully the weather is nice this weekend and everyone can get outside to do their favorite activities. A book by the pool (preferably with a mimosa in hand) sounds divine right about now.
@Avrilmai ugh, being in work limbo sucks! I hope you get some answers soon (and hopefully get to keep your job).
@lund is that you in the pictures?? I'm seriously impressed!
@kbamomma33 yes they're such great dogs! My german shepherd still follows me around when I'm sick and TW when I had my loss she was glued to my side end TW

Side note--she has told me "don't go on pregnancy forums--they're so mean!" so I'm pretty sure she was one of the really bad TTGP AW drive-by's once upon a time
@kbamomma33, we had some success with removing wallpaper with a spray bottle with warm water and vinegar. Maybe add a bit of vinegar to your steamer ( but watch out for inhaling that and getting it in your eyes)
