ktcakes - fx your glucose test goes well!
marley629 - I'm sorry you're feeling so crappy, heading to UC might not be a terrible idea. dehydration can make you more nauseated and then it just becomes a viscous cycle, maybe getting topped up can get you turned around for good!
MJDSquared - May 10 is so soon! Yay!

    1. Due date? 12/14 (though that's up for debate, per my midwife, but we're sticking with it for now!)

    2. How are you feeling? actually decent. Just SO. DAMN. TIRED. I feel like the vertigo might be sneaking back in, I felt pretty spinny this morning, but it's held off so far.

    3. Any upcoming appointments and/or updates from recent appointments? Saw the midwife yesterday! She is SO nice and I am so excited! She agreed to give me a requisition for a dating u/s so I'm hoping to book that next week! Woo!

    4. Questions/concerns? My midwife totally made me feel better about my anxieties about 'not deserving' to have a perfect pregnancy, since my pregnancy with DS was amazing. I just have to keep telling myself what will happen, will happen and the odds are in my favour for a good outcome.

    2. How are you feeling? DD posts are welcome if you need support 3 Good. We had a good US yesterday confirming one pistachio measuring right on track. It helped relive some of the anxiety but I'm not really going to relax until the end of the first trimester...
mini-rant... I'm not sure why this bugs me but it does. Because I have to take precautions at work as soon as I get a BFP, I unfortunately have to tell work right away. So while I have done that I have also tried to be low key about it because I've had a loss before.  So I told my immediate boss  and 2 or 3 other people I work really closely with. well last night I saw the head of our company who congratulated me.  UGGG  this means so many more people know. I feel like this was my news to share.  I've told work and some family so I'm  not hiding it but I was also not shouting it from the roof tops. OK thanks for listening to me complain and for that you get a cute gif

    3. Any upcoming appointments and/or updates from recent appointments? Next appointment/US is 2 weeks from today.

    4. Questions/concerns? I have to commit to a doctor after next US because I'll be graduating from my RE... I had an AMAZING MFM with the twins who I love but since this is a singleton pregnancy I think it might be a bit of overkill. (that being said I am AMA and factor V)  I saw a midwife for a routine check up a little while ago and enjoyed her and always thought I would like to go the midwife route and try for a natural VBAC... but if I go with a midwife I won't be spoiled with monthly+ US.... ahhh first world problems.

    @ktcakes87 GL tomorrow!
@MJDsquared I can't wait to hear about your US next week
@Marley629 I'm sorry your feeling so crappy and the meds aren't helping. hugs
@alysapuggles Sorry you haven't gotten your paper work yet... could you swing by their office to pick it up?
@kvacmak glad you liked your midwife and she made you feel better

  • @wabash15 Well, I work from home, so I'm not out running on a daily basis. It's about 30 minutes away, so I'm really hoping to just get it in the mail. How lazy do I sound? lol I figure I'll give it a full week, and if I don't have anything, I'll call and make sure they have my address correct and maybe see if they are available online.

@MJDsquared Gah, I could not imagine no AC in that kind of weather! I'm in Ohio, so as much as it sucks, I'm used to weather craziness, like running heat and AC within the same day. I hope yours goes back to normal soon!

  • Omg @Marley629 I am so sorry you're feeling so shitty.  You poor thing. I really hope you get some relief asap. Good that you're going to the doctor tomorrow.
@ktcakes87 Good luck at your GC tomorrow!
@MJDsquared Hopefully those little waves of nausea stay little waves.
@alysapugglesI feel the same way - weird about not having been to an Appt yet. I hate it!
@kvacmak Im so glad you found a midwife you like!  That's half the battle!
@wabash15 That would irritate the shit out of me.  I don't understand how people don't get the etiquette of not telling other people about a pregnancy that isn't theirs. Wtf?

    1. Due date? 12/31

    2. How are you feeling? DD posts are welcome if you need support 3 I feel fine. That's what's weird lol. My boobs are not as sore as they have been and I'm freaking EXHAUSTED, but other than that, I feel totally fine.

    3. Any upcoming appointments and/or updates from recent appointments?
My first Appt is May 15th. I'm trying to not think about the fact that I haven't had an Appt. My thoughts are getting the better of me anyway. I'll feel a lot better when I actually SEE something.
Cool thing - The dad in the family I nanny for is an RE - he has his own practice. He's really Sciencey and loves his work, etc. and he's so excited to talk to me about what's happening with the baby and he loves answering all of my questions. It'a great. And the mom is freaking amazing. She's a nurse in the neonatal unit at the hospital, and she's just a wealth of information.  It feels good to have them to bug about this pregnancy :)

    4. Questions/concerns?
No. Just waiting. And waiting. And waiting. And waiting.

  • @alysapuggles if it were a 30 min drive I might be lazy too... I wonder if they have a digital copy...
@breezybee thats great that your bosses are so supportive and informative! sorry about the wait till your appointment... It really can be a rough.

  • @ktcakes87 GL today at your appointment! Keep us posted.
@MJDsquared Yay for an earlier appointment! I feel you on sore boobs going down the stairs... H makes fun of me because I instinctively hold them in place as I do stairs these days, lol
@Marley629 Ugh, I'm sorry your medicine isn't working anymore. Have you tried pedialyte popsickles to try to keep your electrolytes up? I know my sister took zofran during her pregnancy (5 years ago) and I know it helped her a lot. Not sure though if it's been recently taken off of the safe list -- for your sake, I hope not!
@kvacmak Positive thoughts, lady! I feel the same way about all of the what-ifs, but you're right that what will happen will happen, so I'm doing my best just to soak up the newness of it all and try to be positive and enjoy it.
@wabash15 Ew, not cool. That would really piss me off. I need to sit down with my boss to talk about my class schedule for next year before they make assignments, but I'm avoiding it because I know she'll blab to the whole office and I'm still feeling very weird/unsure about telling anyone who's not immediate family.
@breezybee May 15th does sound like a long time to wait, and the wait really is KILLER. It's funny, I loved my u/s and felt such relief for a few days, but honestly I'm back to counting down the days until my next u/s because I just don't feel that pregnant! H thinks I'm being crazy about it, but honestly it's so weird that so many of my thoughts are consumed by this little baby that almost no one knows about and I don't feel much of a connection to yet. FX that the next 10 days fly by for you!

    1. Due date? December 11

    2. How are you feeling? DD posts are welcome if you need support 3 Good today! I felt a little off last night and had no interest in dinner whatsoever, but no complaints because I have yet to throw up or have true morning sickness. I did experience my first RLP this morning when I sneezed - WOW! Painful there for a few seconds! Caught me by surprise.

    3. Any upcoming appointments and/or updates from recent appointments? I see my kidney doctor next Monday and then back down to Miami again on Thursday to see my OB about my bloodwork... I'm nervous because he's thinking about keeping me on a maintenance blood thinner for the duration of my pregnancy and that makes me worried about the delivery. We'll see, I trust him so I'll do what he recommends.

    4. Questions/concerns? See above about the blood thinner, but otherwise doing well :)

  • @CandyApple2012 I hope your doctor is able to put your mind at ease about the blood thinner. I'm sure he'll be able to make a dcaion that's good for you and baby :)

Selfishly, it's good to hear that others are feeling the same way I do - not very pregnant!  We just have to try not to overthink it. Which is completely impossible lol.

  • @breezybee I'm not even really feeling fatigue which freaks me out!
@CandyApple2012 I'm sorry about your concerns about the blood thinner! I'm sure your doctor will make sure to do what's best for you, though.

  • @ktcakes87 thats great news. fx everything continues to progress well!

  • @ktcakes87 Glad the test went easily for you! I had a hard time with that drink, ugh! And then I failed it and had to do the 3 hour, which was even worse! Passed that one, go figure.  Glad you were able to hear the heartbeat too and yay for another ultrasound!

@alysapuggles I struggled with the drink too when I was pregnant with DD. I'm a hard stick, so my timeline was off for my 1 hour. They had me do the 3 hour then and I "barely failed"...  :| So now I have a bottle of orange glucola in my fridge gor and I just have to pick a day to go in. They want me doing it early since i have a history.
